Seems like yesterday when we felt invincible against all the odds of the World. Now that time is quickly passing, we no longer feel invincible but soon to be a faded memory.
Your generation will not be a faded memory my friend, my parents are of your generation (in their 70s now) but their values live on in their children and my children. The 1960's counterculture elevated the conscience and soul of this country and the world more than any other era in modern history. We've had many wasted decades since then, but your generation was not a waste by any means
"White Rabbit" shares a lot with "The End" by the Doors - and vice versa. They were both released in 1967 and have a very similar tempo and mood to them. America was at a crossroads with Vietnam, the counter culture and drugs - and both of these songs brilliantly explore the "what's next" of a generation searching for meaning in an uncertain world.
Cool but white rabbit is more of a altered state of the mindset apparently due to mental illness issues. Probably brought on by the buffet of narcotics lol..
I'm 40yrs old, I grew up on this type of rock, this is the birth of everything we know today, music wise. Mom would approve, RIP Ma, we will never forget, you are forever a stone for so many. Never will I forget, love you Mom.
This is a bad ass song. The intro guitar is outstanding the way the sound of the notes pull you into an amazing drama of a song sung masterfully that just builds into sensual and captivating crescendos, and then ends --- leaving you wanting more!
In my humble opinion, this is the quintessential Jefferson Airplane song. The music is spellbinding and builds along with Grace Slick's powerful vocal to a climactic ending leaving the listener almost breathless!
One of my favourite songs. in September 1970 I arried in San Franciso after 3 days on a Greyhound (I'm from UK and was on a working holiday post university). All I wanted to do was sleep but saw the Airplane were playing the Filmore that night and so had to go. The support bands were dire and I was regretting it until Grace bounded on stage and announced Timothy Leary had just escaped gaol and this concert was for him. Place erupted and they were fantastic especially White Rabbit. We all danced right through it. Got to bed about 3 am and didn't regret a minute of best concert I was ever at.
This song resonates in any Era. The music truly married the lyrics and brought people back to a time ⏲ and place that was instrumental to the rise of a genre of music as well as many important historical events. The cadence of the start of the song set the tone and the vocals of the amazing Grace carried it. I agree that Jefferson Airplane ✈ took us to higher heights with this j (song).

Sometimes you got to recharge your soul and spirit with the great music, But nothing matches hearing it for the very first time. The other times only bring you closer. Grace Slick's voice was a magical gift. I was a voice major at the University of Oregon in 1978. We studied her Middle Eastern European vocal arts. She was brilliant.

@@matthewvaughan8192 Yes such bad taste. Not in the least bit funny or "clever"
Seems like yesterday when we felt invincible against all the odds of the World. Now that time is quickly passing, we no longer feel invincible but soon to be a faded memory.
Well, Baby Boomers have certainly left their mark on the world (for better and worse). You won't soon be forgotten.
Sounds a bit like last friday night
Your generation will not be a faded memory my friend, my parents are of your generation (in their 70s now) but their values live on in their children and my children. The 1960's counterculture elevated the conscience and soul of this country and the world more than any other era in modern history. We've had many wasted decades since then, but your generation was not a waste by any means
Us younger generations are still fighting, not like the ridiculous kind of crap, but we're still carrying the torch. At least us rational ones are.
Baby boomers are dupes.
The 1960s was a huge psy op.
You never figured it out.
Under 3 minutes, pure genius. And OMG Grace Slick was stunning!
So much packed in such a short song!
This is Physcadelic!
I wish White Rabbit was the same length as The End!
@@RamonIce88 could you imagine.... Damn i remember i used to space out to this song

I'm only a few years older! I love this era of music more than any other Late 60s and 70s
This is a bad ass song. The intro guitar is outstanding the way the sound of the notes pull you into an amazing drama of a song sung masterfully that just builds into sensual and captivating crescendos, and then ends --- leaving you wanting more!
A Great description..🎶😎👏👏
Yes, you want Grace to keep on singing…..her vocals are magnificent.
The intro reminds me of entering a Spanish bull ring.
i honestly don’t even care what it’s abow but damn it’s unreal
Yes! Love this song
A great piece of counter culture rock.
Absolutely epic. No song captures the spirit and social turmoil of the late 60’s better than this.
In my humble opinion, this is the quintessential Jefferson Airplane song. The music is spellbinding and builds along with Grace Slick's powerful vocal to a climactic ending leaving the listener almost breathless!
Yeah spellbinding like Alice in wonderland
Don't you want somebody to love.
Beats this song out..... This is a close second.
Lets face it.......Grace Slick had a fabulous and powerful voice. Grace was the star of Jefferson Airplane.
Amazing song , Amazing review, 36 year old blk guy here this reads as 60s to me. I wish I could see it
Song went well w/shrooms
So did the drug's.
I wish my wife were here to see and listen to this. We grew up to it, and she longed for it in her last days. There are so many from our youth that bring her back to life for me. A very fine put together video, thanks for taking me back!
I believe there is music in the afterlife
I am you're wife. I faked my death but I'm ready to come back now. I just need you're bank numbers and passwords. Cheers.
Take care brother.
@@bonnie3447 wow you’re sick. You just cursed someone you love by saying that. Karma is real and will make you pay for that unless you apologize to this lovely vulnerable man for it.
@@michaeldorsey1394 you're brother has destroyed twitter.
This is the perfect song. Music, lyrics and singing all fit together perfectly. One of those songs that you never get tired of hearing. The perfect song
Sometimes you got to recharge your soul and spirit with the great music, But nothing matches hearing it for the very first time. The other times only bring you closer. It's a great day to pop the top on the old jeep and take it out for a while even if the only hair that gets in your eyes is from your beard these days.
Played this in marching band…and yes…we were badass. EHS 4ever. ⚡️⚡️⚡️😎🦇
I'm a 73 year old Brit and remember all the great Music that came out of the San Fransisco in that period. Grace Slick and Jefferson airplane. just listened to Buffalo Springfield 'For What its Worth' and the Byrds 'Eight Miles High'...... I'm on a nostalgia trip...
Me to. To these days . At 62 yo I remember all this music of the day . Is it me or was this time really better than today .
stay safe don't let the little savages get you
I have to say Grace Slick is the most rememberable female voices.
I'm 81 and I've loved this song from the first time it came out. One of the greatest of all rock songs. Never get tired of it.
Freaking awesome song, by beautiful girl with hypnotic voice. Don't get much better than this.
An incredible era. A legendary band. Grace has a way of taking over your mind. One of a kind ! A great set of pipes !!
SOO... true and CORRECT! I am70 and STILL miss her voice! ALSO like, enjoy, nothing going to stop us now!
Very powerful music before my time.
Saw them live at a free concert in Toronto in 1967. Unforgettable.
You're right I forgot!
Apparently an ordinary song, but a monumental work.
One of the defining songs of the late 60s...it's still one of my favorites.
He’s got the whole world in his hands🐇
I want to know how WWE got access to this RUclips channel 😂 or if this has been 15 years in the work
@@patrickdougherty1641 someone looked on the wayback machine, this video used to have a different description and more videos, they possibly bought it. Today's video zip code to Corbin, Kentucky I believe and there was a Google review by White Rabbit records an actual record company with zip code to Windham as a Google review.
Long term storytelling 🐰😂
This is the maddest thing ive seen in wrestling for the last 30 years. Absolute genius stuff by wwe with this one. Its a cold tune as well
This can make me go from wat hing reviews to watching the actual show. Great work!
Grace Slick's voice was a magical gift. I was a voice major at the University of Oregon in 1978. We studied her Middle Eastern European vocal arts. She was brilliant.
Middle Eastern European?……whaaat?

Great song though 👍
From a child of the 60's, It all comes to an end way to soon. I wish this was a 10 minute song, or more, the song that never ends. Turbulent, but glorious times.
This to me is absolute perfection in a song. The only other two as perfect are “Stairway to Heaven “ and “Hallelujah “
I have to agree. Awezome perfect songs for generations. Theyll be playing this song in 3525 and beyond.
This song used to send cold shivers down my back in the days -- and it still does. Grace Slick's rendition is unrivalled, although Elephant Revival did pretty well at coming close.
Agreed!
Still one of the greatest songs ever in history.
100% agreed
Could'nt agree more, bro...
Timeless, powerful, haunting, moving. Too short but just long enough. An enigma of a musical experience.
Some things are timeless
Impossible without Jorma and Jack
I met and talked with her in the 1990’s in a club in Waikiki ! Most important thing in my life ! She is/was amazing !
Every time the world stops making sense I listen to this song by this marvelous singer. Then everything seems OK.
I remember hearing this when it was new.
