- During the cross-examination of Amber Heard on Tuesday, Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez noted the differences in the injury photos from actress Amber Heard. Vasquez asked Heard if she edited the photos to make the redness more pronounced. Heard stated she did not edit the photo.

The fact that she is constantly looking at the jury while answering the questions, hence trying to manipulate them is seriously infuriating me.
The witnesses are actually instructed to look at the jury when answering, but I agree that somehow when she does it it seems just wrong

I know a pathological liar, and they will deny it no matter the evidence presented. It's actually terrifying. It seems like some sort of primal instinct next to psychopathy for the sake of survival where someone continually lies to fend off against the reality of consequences and repercussions. They don't consider conceding even one lie they make in order to seem at least somewhat believable, like if Amber went with the narrative that Johnny and her were both abusive, which many people could actually believe, instead she denies everything and insists she's a victim.

I think I'm a narcissist and every story I have just isn't enough to please others, so I add in a little flare and when I catch myself saying the lie, it's already coming out 100 mph and going back and fixing my mistake is always hard to explain. "Ah wait, that didn't actually happen.. I meant this.." if she really is struggling with what I have then I hope she gets help because it all stems from insecurity. Personally, I think she is jealous of Johnny because he is much more successful than her and she's always putting him down which is a sign that she's insecure that he's better than her. @@Apaxetic i believe they said she has both borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder. there's alot of different ways they come across to be diagnosed with something like this, but from my understanding (i just have nursing school studying experiences, never really worked with any patients with these dx's) the borderline personality will show self-image issues and a distorted way of thinking about herself and her relationships with others, where the histrionic personality shows she has attention seeking or issues with wanting to be noticed. these two things being put together, i imagine she has this line of thinking where she needs to be noticed in this certain way so badly- especially in terms of her relationship with johnny depp- that she's resorting to these exaggerations or over-explanations to try and sway whoever to thinking her way. to me, i think it's failing in every way tho

She claims the photos are under different lights, but her hair is IDENTICAL in both photos. Does she really think people will believe she can take pictures under different lights, in the exact same pose, without ANY of her hair changing position? That's absurd, and the jury will know it.

Even if she had not changed position, the camera had done the same and someone else have maneuvered the lights, they STILL would have given a different cast of shadows altogether and would have changed the image more than what was shown. Her lies don't add up at all.

I wanted the attorney to reprimand her by saying on each question, "YES OR NO..." then "answer my questions Miss Amber, YES or NO..." then repeat every question.Then after the 3rd time, just tell the Judge, "This witness is not answering my questions, yes or no, she's going on a dialogue to which has nothing to do with my question." It's clear she manipulates, tries to charm, uses communication skills to distract, just as she does with hair and clothing. It's all a show, she's a performer, not a real person, just a shell of a human. Poor Johnny...

Every detail of those images is identical, including the dozens of whisps of hair. They are clearly the same image with different contrast and brilliance settings. I laughed in disbelief when she claimed that they were different images taken at different times. Does she really think that we and the jury are so gullible?

Those photos and her testimony that she didn't alter them is all I'd need to see in order to consider her a liar. Not a single hair or pixel in a different location. Definitely a recolor. There's always some variation, even if you take the same photo back-to-back without moving.
I would just be embarrassed to show the world these two identical pictures and pass them off as two seperate “injuries”. This woman is insane.

Relax, I know you want Depp to win but that broad is a terrible cross examiner. At times she loses control of the testimony by not making sure amber doesn't ramble. She failed to demonstrate contradiction and de- legitimize heard's statements based on heard's past testimony and didn't capitalize on several opportunities to broaden the scope of the fight they had and ask more details on the james franco visit in order to acquire more information on the night.
I believe her. I also believe Mr. Depp's apologetic emails to Ms. Heard in which he apologized for his rage and used the term monster to refer to himself.
Career defining case and she is killing it. Showing just how powerful she will get by showing how strong she is here.

She may not be wise but she is clearly reasonably intelligent although probably not nearly as smart as she considers herself. It is hard to not forget your lies in a cross-examination especially when your whole testimony is lies upon lies. Her not being consistent is surely not due to a low IQ.

It means Amber can't act like some meek woman against an intimidating male lawyer, and because she feels threatened by an intelligent and beautiful woman, she asserts herself more aggressively and shows her true abrasive self.

I may be mistake but im pretty sure thats a method in the court room. As a witness to look at the lawyer when they ask questions but answer while looking at the jury. Its a way of "connecting" ig w the jury. I studied for mock trial under a lawyer and that was their advice. And online it says it too...idk, i still 100% hate her but i dont think thats smth wrong shes doing but im not an actual lawyer so idk

The excuse of "they're different lights" is so moronic because she also admitted to the lighting supposedly coming from two different lamps. It is absolutely impossible to replicate the lighting effects on a person so perfectly with two different lamps, even if Amber were somehow capable of standing still like a statue, just due to the fact that different wattage and the warmth of the emitted light have a huge impact on how the light interacts with objects.
She’s obviously lying about the two photos. She’s in the exact same position, every strand of hair on her head is in the same place, and so is every shadow on her face. You could probably overlap them and they’d line up perfectly.
I think Depps lawyer should've pointed that out more, though to any juror half paying attention its obvious.

As a photopgrapher I can say, that it is utterly impossible to take 2 photos with the exact hair placement and switching a light on/off between two shots onseself. These are the exact same photos, one with added saturation.

I was wondering this whole time, did she imply someone else turned off the light (even then there won't be two exact photos but still)? Cause if not, like this flat out isn't possible, and its such an easy piece of proof to give us that did nothing for her. Even if someone did hit it, there should be slight changes in position. Its not just every strand of hair and spec of dirt I can see that's the same, but their exact positions relative to each other

@@darthbarf Very true. Defamation as I understand it, is generally viewed as a difficult case to win due to having to prove malicious intent. I think in the end, Johnny wasn't expecting to win, but was looking to clear his name and tell his side of the story, which he has IMO. The jury could still find that they're both wrong and award them both nothing.

My husband and I have 50 years combined experience using PS/GiMP and we used several techniques to determine if there were any differences to the photographs. We believe that the right photo (713) is the original, as it was better quality and the left one (712) was unfortunately enlarged resulting in some distortion of the the finer details. We were able to replicate the left photo using saturation and a bit of colour enhancement. As most people noticed, the hair wisps are identical - I would also add that there was no change to her pupils, nor to the reflections of the light in her ear cuff, forehead and down her nose with the addition of the make-up lights. Harder to see due to quality issues, there are also no differences to the line creases in her eyes. I find it nearly impossible that her eyes would not have reacted to the addition/difference in lighting. We concluded that it was the same photograph, altered to enhance the alleged bruising on AH's face.

I have been a graphic artist for 30 years, and all I had to do was look at them side by side. It's the same picture. Maybe she should have made friends with some graphics people from her movies to change them up. Haha.

I m photographer, editor, and i can tell from my 15 years of experience, they look identical photos. And i can create both of them vice versa.
This right here; defining moment of the trial. She is DEFINITELY lying about the photographs. It is absolutely impossible to take two identical photographs of a human subject; even with a tripod and remote shutter the subject will always move between shots. I lined both images up on top of one another in photoshop and adjusted one to 50% opacity; they were absolute, 100% carbon copies. Whilst I don't have hard evidence that she lied previously this is undeniable evidence that she's lying here.
The editing is definitely strange but clearly deliberate. You can just look at the small details between photos and see they are the same shot. It doesn't actually seem like just a resize on top of the coloration either. Looks like some kind of more complicated sizing unless somehow the actual window displaying the picture was resizing and changing dimensions with it.
Depending on the phone it's possible the information of the edit is stored in the photograph. Some phones or apps will do something like change the date stored in the image. If it was changed you will be able to click on image properties which should show date taken. Not every app/phone changes this after an edit is made but if it did and she did this several days later or minutes later then a date change would show up and would be evidence of lying. This also happens to show when file types shift or in the case of jpegs, multiple saves of the same jpeg calls the compression algorithm multiple times. You can tell if this algorithm kicked in by pulling individual pixel data and seeing if the surrounding pixels had their colors averaged out. Its a predictable shift since the compression algorithm is always the same. That would prove it was the same image run through the compression after an edit.

Not so much 'edited', but one's the Raw the other's the Jpeg with the camera's colour processing.
I actually did the same thing. Also if you adjust the saturation on the right image you don't even have to line it up, the image looks identical at a glance but with more saturation.

I hate that she always looks at the jury when she's talking! It's so distracting, visually. Plus it shows how desperate she is for them to view her the way she wants them to, instead of focusing on giving a clear, strong testimony
Also proves she has a very bad social understanding of situations. She's been told to connect to the jury by looking at them and has taken that as an instruction to ALWAYS be in locked eyes when answering a question or testifying. Truly unnerving.

I agree that for me too, it sits wrong, something is really off about it. Interestingly though, I noticed Johnny's psychologist did the same thing when explaining what various terms etc meant & to me that felt really natural & the right thing to do, so I think there's something more going on in what Amber's doing, that we can't pinpoint, but that at a subconscious level, we all know is bad & hopefully the jury is feeling that same vibe as she does this directly to them

Those pictures really tell who's lying. They're the exact same picture, if you overlap them everything matches; it would be impossible to take two different pictures and have them match like that. Hopefully the jury is smart enough to notice.

I feel bad being morbidly fascinated by this case, because at the end of the day it's people's private lives being paraded for everyone in the world to pass judgement on... but at the same time, watching this lawyer work is really something else. The way Amber keeps picking at semantics to try and twist things in her favour, becoming more obstinate about it the more she's refuted, is something easy to recognize when you've dealt with abusive or toxic people who refuse to take responsibility for their actions -- and Camille seems very aware of that fact, hence her firm refusal to let Amber get away with it.

In British courtrooms someone on the stand is expected to make eye contact with the jury when answering questions. You could argue that she might be doing that because of the previous court case in the UK? Though that's unlikely the case.
Most likely cause she wants confirmation from them, otherwise she just shakes up the story a bit if she feels that the jury is not statisfied with the one she is giving them

Even her eyelids haven’t moved - it looks like she was blinking for the picture. Try getting two pictures with your eyes partially closed and in the same spot.
Even the shadows - try taking 2 pictures with different lights, and without moving between photos, have identical shadows without moving yourself.

as a photographer, I testify that the picture in the left does not look like lights coming from a vanity light as I can see the same amount of shadows in both photos and the same light source based on the highlights.

From a previous role where i was required to act as a professional witness you're taught to address tje jury when giving your answer. Admittedly this is UK criminal cases.
