That's a gross exaggeration. The questions about dinner and her husband being aware she had amber coming in (not about muffins), lasted a few minutes out of the entire testimony. You've dismissed the fact that she is not focusing on muffins but the fact that curry was not confidential about her client. And she was unprofessional in going to his home to be interviewed. That is highly unprofessional. No matter her excuse, the one she gives is pathetic. She could've went to their office instead of his house. She's never done it before and hasn't done it since. Listen to her. She coincidentally doesn't recall anything that sheds a bad light that was in the evidence she supposedly read, saw & heard. She lied several times and had new explanations for why her answers are now different.
Ppl have discredited Hughes simply because of her looking at notes for NUMBERS. CURRY asked for her notes several times for numbers and test results. And again, can't recall anything negative about Depp
His lawyers had already prediagnosed her before curry assessed her or she told them she'd be able to diagnose her with those disorders BEFORE assessing her. That was just read out for you to hear.

Haha yeah but that’s just standard lawyer tactic to trick people into disqualifying their opinions. By asking those questions if she admitted to the slight difference of her husband buying muffins for the office instead of just giving it directly to her it would be implied she told her husband about amber, breaking confidentiality and lowering the validity of her professional opinions. Same thing with the dinner and drinks. By implying it was a casual dinner instead of an interview and getting her to go along with that it makes it seem to the juror that she was guided and bought into arriving to a conclusion of amber that sided with Johnny, instead of it just being her professional analysis. She usually doesn’t do interviews before being retained so it was an opportunity for the lawyer to make it seem that she was doing it for this case because they were convincing her into lying for them. Any of these tactics might have worked on anyone else to discredit their credibility as a witness, just not on her as she’s obviously way too experienced, intelligent and educated on how to avoid these traps of changing the verbiage to make things appear a different way. But it’s normal for lawyers to use these tactics. It’s literally their job to be manipulative at times to prove a point and make evidence appear in their clients favor. Not necessarily about being trustworthy.

What makes her such a great expert witness is that I truly believe she would have provided the same unbias analysis if she was retained by Amber Heard's team to do an evaluation of Johnny Depp. Dr. Curry established credibility by answering the more open ended general questions as she would in a vacuum and case specific question only as they related to the data and information provided. Camille gets a lot of credit for her cross examination of Amber (as she should) but Dr. Curry played a major role by clearly laying a foundation based in evidence that Amber's accounts of events shows a statistical tendency towards exaggeration.

@@CharleenDoll You say you used facts, yet none of you’re “facts” were ever stated, therefore you never used facts.
You said “not that smart, couldn’t pass the board exam”. Here’s a fact for you, “not that smart” is an opinion. “Couldn’t pass the board exam”, that’s just false since she’s never taken it because she doesn’t need to. No facts in that comment.
“Why do you think depp team hired her and not a board certified psychologist or even psychiatrist?” That’s just a question, not a statement of fact.
“Because no board certified psychologist would lie under oath, they have too much to lose” what exactly is your fact here? That the only people who would never lie under oath are those who are board certified? That’s just wrong. Anybody who lies under oath has a lot to lose, fact. Let’s assume here that you are accusing her of lying under oath. You have not provided any proof that she has lied under oath, so you can’t claim any of that as fact.
Therefore, my comment was correct in saying you had not given any facts.
Now, to the “facts” you have SINCE commented.
“I do use facts” no you didn’t.
“They hired none board certified psychologist” probably the only real fact you have given and it’s completely pointless because many people hire licensed psychologist who aren’t board certified. She is still an expert in her field, her PsyD is proof of that, as well as all of her education and experience. Well done, you’ve finally given us a fact.
“Why didn’t they go for the best, like board certified psychiatrist, to get accurate results?” Again, that’s a question not a statement of fact. BUT let’s go with the “fact” you’re trying to make. You claim that only the best, a board certified psychologist (which, again is an opinion as someone without board certification can be better than someone who is board certified, since not everyone has taken the exam) can get accurate results. Where is your proof? Until then, your “fact” is just a claim.
“You are trying to discredit my comment” yeah, and I succeeded. Congrats, another fact.
“All of these facts add up to: in order to defend johnny depp a lot of people have to lie” literally nothing you have said adds up to that. Even if, and you have yet to provide proof for said claim, people have lied for Johnny Depp, nothing you said adds up to that.
“That’s a strange thing to occur while dealing with an honest good man” … again, that’s an opinion. Opinions are not facts.

As a mental health professional, this cross exam is infuriating. A client reporting something to a therapist isn't the same as catching it on a tape. In general, students of mental health are trained to approach clients with unconditional positive regard, non-judgemental, and maintaining rapport. I have had several clients that I had feelings were exaggerating or straight up lying to me. But as Dr. Curry said, we aren't investigators. We don't interrogate. We treat. We listen. We empathize. And we gently and tactfully challenge any inconsistency in thought patterns and/or behavior that may be contributing to symptoms. The fact that a client reports something does not make it true. They are not under oath in our office. And truth or falsehood isn't the point/focus when working with a therapist. We try to find the underlying circumstances and emotional meaning to the client and use it for treatment. Clients who make false reports of something in therapy is usually a manifestation of the very disorder or struggle they are trying to treat/work through.

The point is to ascertain certain facts from the psychologist's recall.
When she gets it wrong, the lawyer directs her to the paper that explicitly shows what the psychologist said.
This evidence, plus everything else, will come to a certain truth that the lawyers fight out over to 'prove'.
You're muddling up the roles. The psychologist is there to state facts. The cross-examination is fair. . . Don't be offended.

Amber’s attorneys really are grasping for straws. Their rude manor with the witnesses is also a massive turn off, I do not understand how they think this would come off in a positive light to the jury. Generally, average people don’t like this kind of behavior, and can usually tell when people are trying to manipulate a situation. They really are just making her look even worse. Speaking to an expert in such a derogatory way, especially one who is so articulate, and very obviously knowledgeable about her field, is not going to serve them well.
