As a graphic designer, in simple terms, what he’s saying is that Amber’s team never provided the actual photos. And the photos that they did provide were screenshots and were altered/copied so that the original data could not be read. So when the lawyer is asking him, “You didn’t find any alterations, correct?” He’s asking a question that doesn’t make sense. It’s not the original photo. But the lawyer is saying, “Did you find evidence of alteration?” But he couldn’t either way because they gave them screenshots and copies. The actual photos that were presented were altered, either way. Because they were screenshots.
agreed, forensic security researcher here, that's exactly what the witness was saying. It's not a yes or no question per se, because of what @sin city quinn said, but what I would have said is "that's incorrect, I *DID* find evidence of alteration as I was not given original photos and that in and of itself is an alteration, so yes there was evidence of material alteration of the photo"
The lawyer had no idea what that meant and/or didn't want to know. That was so frustrating to see. I was yelling at the screen every time he'd ask the same question and kept saying it was a yes or no answer. When in fact it was not a yes or no answer.
@@jesusdamian2172 they frame it in a way to make it a yes or no. That's the lawyers job, is to present the questions in a way so that the only response allowed is good for them.
It was insanely infuriating that the attorney couldn’t understand what the witness was saying yet continued to persist in obtaining a yes or no answer.
The fact that he tried to discredit Mr. N by attacking his degree from almost 50 years ago is shameless. Mr. Neumeister is more credible than Amber’s entire case against Johnny.
Right. Like where did Amber find these lawyers? Did no one else want the case because they were completely awful? Like even IF Amber was credible they still would be awful in representing her.
This should 100% be considered argumentative questioning. He is clearly badgering the witness into giving him the answer he wants. Unbelievably frustrating.

I've been a photo retoucher for 15 years and this man is SPOT ON. When an image is photographed in its RAW FORM which is the most accurate and the most largest form, you get ALL THE INFORMATION IT COMES WITH LIKE , time, what aperture/fstop you used, what lens you used, what camera your using, etc. Once you put it into a editing software like I use Photoshop and you start changing the photos sizing the information starts to get compressed, lose data, lose its rawness (its authentic realness) especially when you convert it from raw to jpeg which makes the image a COPY and not the REAL THING. RAW shows the real deal and anything else can distort the image.
But isn't it very obvious the images are the same though? I mean any person with an average sized brain can tell the two photos are the same with one edited to have more saturation. I mean the hair, the expression, facial deformities etc. are all in the exact same spot.
@@guitarboy0211 You don't get idea of this thing bro just ask, it doesn't matter if they look similar, as an expert of photography and photo retouching too with 11 years of experience, I myself can tell you that saturation matters that much cuz it changes moods and facts, crop even with 1% zoom in can change a lot to the viewers and can affect anyone's judgement, lastly and which is more important, its not about showing thet these photos are photoshopped, they only try show and illustrate the false claims of Amber's which means ( the judge and jury will know that this all are lies told by her ) Amber Heard today and her team are done, Johnny has won the case it done 100% no one on earth could prevent Amber from losing now.
@@lukavisuals1065 I'm not really questioning the methods or saying Johnny's team shouldn't be bringing in witnesses to further solidify their case. I'm just saying, the two images that were shown, I went online and examined them myself. They look pretty much the same. It took me a total of 10 seconds to come to the conclusion that they are the same photograph but I do understand the nuances of it all and I'm not trying to be argumentative with you either. It's just that I expect the jury (or rather hope) they come to the same conclusion I did coz I was in fact cringing that she would even claim the photos are different and shot at two different times of day. Also thanks for your insight, appreciate the explanation.
Even if he was technically supposed to just answer questions yes or no, its misleading to do so and its impressive how stubbornly this witness stuck to the whole truth.
Lawyers love when witnesses answer with yes or no, hence why they always ask closed ended questions. It allows the lawyer to set the tone and create a narrative that helps their client. Any good witness will always answer with a free-form answer, and never(sometimes it can be helpful) with yes or no.
Amber has not answered a question by simply saying yes or no this entire time. She'll even repeat the question, reword it, and then give a quick answer. Funny how her team wants just a yes or no
He had a couple great points that stood out to me, the photos were run through an editing software and those last photos were the same. He was not there to speculate who edited them, just that they were edited. Great witness I’m not sure how she thought she could get away with that.
I'm a graphic designer. What he's saying about not being able to decipher the true history or Metadata of a photo is true. If it's a screenshot, it's no longer the original, whether it looks the same or not.
I'm no expert but from what you're saying you could edit a photo and then take a screenshot of that edited photo hence bypassing edit metadata evidence?
@@richcrypto92 Something like that. Everytime you took SCREENSHOT of photos, the screenshot version should be treated as copies. We need the raw photo taken by smartphone device camera
@@richcrypto92 Yes sort of. Its like taking your phone and photographing a photo. Obviously nothing of the pictures background history is captured. I will point out though, that metadata is almost irrelevant, that can be edited to oblivion. Exif data tho, taken from the raw photo, is more relevant.
The sheer unwillingness to let the man stats facts speaks volumes to the guilt. If you have nothing to hide, you hear him out then rebut the statements.
This is how cross-examination works, dude. Depp’s lawyers did that too. They only ask questions for getting the answers they need. Any unwanted data may drive the situation out of attorney’s control.
As someone who's been working with digital image files since the '80s, and who's worked in computer forensics, I can say that the metadata expert is spot-on with everything he was saying. Indeed, I'd say he's a lot more knowledgeable than probably most computer forensics workers on this topic (most don't get to the level of color charts, scopes, etc.). The Heard laywer's suggestion that he didn't know what he was talking about due to his education being in political science, and due to not having a computer forensics certification, is wholly without merit.

Her lawyers are so hostile. The one isn't asking a question about the pictures that can be answered as yes or no. The other lawyer thinks everyone wants to be on TV and is extremely rude and condescending about it.
They are not hostile, they are just scared that they will get exposed, they are just lashing out on everyone trying to intimidate people. They are just being overly defensive because they are genuinely scared of their lies getting exposed.
This is the most shocking witness of them all. He is not giving his opinion, he is not talking about actions and violence he witness BUT he is just stating FACTS!
I found this disturbing. At 8mins 1sec. A moment of outstanding falseness. How quickly can she change her expression when she thinks no one is watching. Scary.
Neumeister is world renowned and widely recognized as a top leader in the field, he’s been featured on all kinds of media and interviewed etc, for him to put his name and brand out there for Johnny Depp is actually a big deal in the forensic technology world.
And they have the audacity to tell him "You don't have a degree in Computer Science, correct?" Like Computer Science Degree has far more weight than owning and working in a Digital Forensics Company that literally specializes on testifying on Photo Evidence.
Norbert Bryan Neumeister is probably the best witness we've seen in this trial. Really admire how he firmly stood his ground, while still remaining level-headed. What a strong, courageous, intelligent man who won't let anyone try to falsely twist the narrative.
This trial is such a disgrace: people are fabricating evidence and getting away with it with no consequences than a transient internet noise. Good for Johnny to have this level of support. Amber scares me to the core.
The sad thing is there are other women out there like her. My ex best friend did things like this. Just lucky enough she wasn't rich enough to get people to listen to her BS like amber. I wonder how many men get destroyed by rich crazy women.
I started pre law courses many many years ago... it's still my passion, but shortly there after decided it wasn't for me. I couldn't imagine defending a client that I knew was lying out their rear! This case is a prime example! How do you stand up there and defend Amber?! Her lawyers can't possibly ALL be that ignorant?! I have read over and over by Elains peers that she is brilliant, and very well respected in her field, and she just potentially ruined her career! I sure as heck hope Amber pays her team enough to live off of for some time, as they may not have much work after this garbage! Money talks for sure, but no amount of anything would place me behind that podium defending that woman!
When she swore that she had not edited ANY of her photos, and also swore that the side view profile of the (claimed) facial cheek bruise was two different photos in different lighting, when it was beyond obvious that the two were the EXACT same photo, only with different saturation - she blew any credibility that she had left. Which wasn’t much.
If she or they didn't do anything wrong, have nothing to worry about. Why are they trying to prevent this guy from talking and squirming in their chairs?! Also I can't stand her lawyer's approach, makes me want to scream! 🤔🤬
It is not about the lawyers being unlikeable but rather the fact that her case, and the stories that she has presented as well as the witnesses who have deposed all evidence the fact that there are so many inconsistencies that point to fabrication. The lawyers are sadly faltering and possibly resorting to a more aggressive stance because of the fallacies in the case presented by Amber Heard and they are merely trying to do their best of defending their client, which is their duty.
Yep, anytime the truth is about to come out they object or hearsay it. They won't let Johnny's witnesses talk but go forbid their paid witnesses can, smh.
"What data did you use?" - "Well I used..." "Pls answer the question!" - "I am about to answer it. " "Answer what?" - "your question" "What question?" -Amber's Lawyers in a nutshell.
This judge is incredible. That moment when Amber's lawyer "forgot" his own question when he didn't like the answer, and the judge asked to stop and recover the question from the transcript.
Wow. That _"I don't recall the question, your Honor. We can move on."_ to circumvent the judge's ruling and stop the witness from truthfully answering the question _he_ asked but actually _doesn't_ want the answer to because he fought so hard to keep it out... has to be the most cowardly, pathetic move from Heard's team in this entire trial. And they'd already placed the bar _really_ high. So glad the judge didn't let him get away with it!
i don't think AH's Team is that bad... they are just trying to grap every straw they can get because of her lies, they know she's lying about everything and i bet, if they would've known that before the trial, they wouldn' t have taken this case just to ruin themselves
He literally put his hand up and spoke out “ I know your trying to control the narrative “ 🤣 he was great! Good for him and I’m so glad the jury is witness in seeing all this & how awful her lawyers are

This is my personal nightmare. Being cross-examined in court around my area of expertise, by somebody who has no clue about the subject, for people who have no clue about the subject, all while maneuvering through weird rules of what can or cannot be said, and what the interrogator does not want me to say.
Hats off to Mr. Neumeister for standing his ground and not letting her attorney push his narrative on him to incite the answers he wanted. He clearly can tell the photos have been altered but can't be allowed to give his opinion on it due to the aggressive and misleading nature of the line of questioning.
He has to say yes or no just like depps lawyers ask of Amber's witnesses. Depp lawyer talks over people disrespectfully and forces their silence.....are we watching the same trial lol
It wasn't misleading or aggressive. It was answer yes or no. That is how big people conduct trials. This isn't a TV show. The question was did you find evidence.....the answer was no because he couldnt... .doesn't matter why he couldnt.....that's for depp lawyers to question
@@HollyBonAlibi I'm aware it's a real court case and I respect your opinion on the matter. Compared to the others it was more aggressive. However, it is clearly misleading when you ask for an answer on something that can't be answered honestly because of the way someone is phrasing the question. Hopefully you at least can admit there is foul play involved with the photos looking identical though.
I'm completing a degree in Cyber Intelligence and just took a Digital Forensics course last Fall, to me it's blatantly obvious that Amber's team is trying to misrepresent EVERYTHING about this topic to an uninformed jury. I know enough to complete his sentences when they interrupt him - every single time they do so it's because what he's about to say will either provide VERY important context, or show the absolute criminal degree to which they're trying to get the jury to adopt a fallacy. It doesn't matter if the photos he was given look 1:1 identical to the original, they are completely different files and all he can do is speak to the ones he was given. FFS, the picture at 6:08 is literally a picture of a computer screen, showing a picture that's on a piece of paper, and Amber's team is trying to make the jury just think it's the exact same as the original. She's happy to provide that BS as evidence, but not the source file of the picture on that paper. I can guarantee if he was provided the actual device used to take the pictures, it would be complete game over for Amber Heard. This is absolutely disgusting conduct by all of Amber's team and I can't express that enough to those uninformed on this topic - they're obstructing the truth at every single corner in this testimony.
I think even a not-technologically-literate jury can get the gist that the Heard team are trying to maneuver within extremely narrow limitations of what's actually going on; and that they have to do so out of a defensiveness for what the guy would otherwise reveal.
I didn’t take those courses and I can tell they are scum of the earth. They play dirty and when you play like that you are guilty. I am also an empath and you can feel real and fake easily 💕

You are not crazy. He did not forget. He accidentally opened the door for the expert to talk more about the metadata. The judge had restricted his testimony at Heards team request. But bc the lawyer asked the question, he opened the door. And once it’s open it can’t be shut.
JD has had some great people testifying for him, this guy was another. Cool calm and collected and really knew his stuff which made it very hard to cross examine him.
My thoughts too. And so cool, he insists on staying in a scientific/philosophical metaverse/narrative where an answer can't be given. Though I'm surprised the judge accepted yet another 'That's incorrect!'!
Thomas ikr! I feel like most of JD's witnesses have been credible and reserved. Compared to most of AH's witnesses that became emotional, tried to oversell, and were often misleading or lying like her 'friends.' Idk why so many of AH's witnesses felt the need to try to influence the jury so blatantly, but I suspect for at least some of them, it was insecurity.
I have NEVER in my life seen an attorney say they forgot the question when they were ruled against and then try to avoid having the court reporter read it back. This is the kind of tactic my 7 year old uses to avoid answering when she knows she's been busted for doing something wrong and wants to gloss over it, especially when she's had a slip of the tongue and screwed herself 🤣
I liked that too lol. He didn't want him to answer and said they can just redirect but the judge was like well no, you asked and here is your answer now.
Interestingly enough Mr. Nuemeister was a very neutral witness. He walked a balanced road initially by trying to explain that getting a hold of Amber’s phone is the best way of determining the authenticity of the evidence presented. Unfortunately, AH’s team didn’t want that answer. They wanted a definitive “no, the images weren’t altered”. Here is where I tipped my hat to Bryan:- He KNEW that the photos were screen grabs from the get-go and could have categorically stated that the images presented were doctored. Instead, he gave AH’s attorney not one, not two, not three, not four, but some 5 to 6 times to restate the question instead of immediately spitting a plot line in favor of Johnny. It was at 20:02 when he became visibly fed up that he stated that AH’s team actually altered the photos by the very nature of how they presented it. An obvious luminary in his field and an upstanding individual for not stooping to skullduggery.
@@neliaferreira9983 no, Nuemeister refrained from giving a narrative to Johnny:- recall Nuemeister was Johnny’s witness. If he gave in and said “yes, I have found evidence that the photos were edited”, and left it at that without an explanation, that would have been a tainted response misleading the jury as it could be interpreted as some intent to manipulate the photo on AH’s part. However, he was trying to explain that may not necessarily be the case as the photos presented are either screen-grabs or backups of backups (3rd generation photos) and to that point, what is presented in evidence wouldn’t stand to scrutiny, which could just be an honest/rookie mistake:- that’s why the original phone is important. To put it simply, Mr. Nuemeister did not seek to offer a conclusive opinion on the authenticity of the photos, even after demonstrations that showed noticeably different visible versions of the same photo. He was simply saying, we have no way of knowing which wouldn’t be an outright win for Johnny nor an outright loss for Amber. Compare that AH’s witness who shot his own credibility in the foot by stating with a degree of scientific certainty that he found the “source” and “originals” and therefore, the photos not edited…albeit being found on IPhones/IPads made months after the relationship. And the sad thing is, I’m willing to bet that not even Amber’s own expert was given the original phone. Note also that Nuemeister was able to trace some photos to an IPhone 6…a device which matches the timeline of events…should tell you who the real expert is.
This is why I don't get why more witnesses just straight up refuse to answer twisted questions posed by ambers team. Like yeah, I get it, you are instructing me to answer yes or no and the Judge legit said I need to answer the question. However, why can't they just respectfully refuse to answer the question if it is put in a way that will affect my integrity to remain under Oath...
Probably the most devastating witness testimony to AH's case. If a juror was still on the fence about who to believe, his testimony made all the difference and likely sealed her fate. It was PERFECT that they didn't put him on until this specific time. He earned his invoice amount.
I love how she shows these photos with small little bruises, but claims to be beat so bad and punched repeatedly, assaulted with a bottle and she takes pictures of the mirror??!!Hello what's wrong with this picture?it didn't happen!because if she was beat the way she explained it,falling all over glass trying to get her footing, while being punched in the face(with all those rings)assaulted with a bottle she would of most definitely needed to go to the hospital period!!!!She says she didn't know if the bottle was broke ,but wasn't concerned to be checked out by medical personal. SHES SCREAMING IM A LIER!
her features are so fine, those cheekbones do not look like they have been hit repeatedly, that nose has not been broken, especially without medical attention
It's because she's trying to appear simultaneously hurt, yet strong. Just look at how insulted she was when Camille called her a "victim"! She can't stand the idea of being weak, despite claiming to have been violently attacked on so many, different occasions. She is crippling her own case under the weight of her gigantic ego, and contradicting her own testimony due to her uncontrollable narcissism. Her cheap af, clown lawyers must be pulling their hair out, desperately trying to clean up the messes she keeps making!
Yeah, not to bring up a buried skeleton or anything, but for the sake of comparison look at Rihanna's injury. That's real, no one is gonna argue, and that was a single round of violence. It's absolutely tragic but the incident was still not even as severe as what Amber is claiming here, and Ri got that much injury on her face. And here Amber is, after the repeated alleged assault with rosy cheeks
We literally have no idea when Amber’s injury photographs were taken and they have tried to block the metadata coming into evidence every step of the way. Disgraceful…
Like the man was saying, people don't want to get rid of their phones because of the evidence on them. He was implying Amber actually gave her phone up, so who knows when those photos were taken.
I like how he called them out on controlling the narrative and then pointed out that if the pictures were pivotal then why was the phone disposed of. The phone itself is evidence.
Quite frankly... Amber's lawyer stating "I don't recall my question" is SUCH a cop out and absolutely disrespectful. I mean, cause you don't want the answer you want to throw your little tantrum?? I think not.
In all fairness, this was the one time I could empathize with him. I too forgot the exact wording of the question (the semantics of which were apparently relevant) in the dozen or so seconds they were talking to the judge.
That wasn't what he did. The judge sustained the objection Depp's lawyers had to him trying to not let the answer the expert wanted to give. This means the expert was told he could answer. However because he asked the question again, the lawyer decided the best thing to do was to say "I can't remember too, don't worry let's move on"". But Depps's lawyers jumped and got the court to read the question from the transcript so that he could answer it. It was never a tantrum, it was a tactic to try and fix his inability to get the witness to say something that discredited his previous evidence.
Basically he PROVED she lied on the stand, why won't she be called on it by the judge? It is perjury pure and simple! She should be fined or even get to jail for LYING under oath!
I hope that near the end they call Amber on the stand again and pull out every lie she said. They proved that it was not 2 different pictures taken with and without light on as she claimed and I really hope they call her out on that. They can't accuse her of modifying the pictures because evidence of that can't be proven but they can certainly point out she lied about it being 2 pictures and show them both side by side for the jury to see at least one is definitely modified in some ways.
They most def wouldn’t just stop the case they’d probably wait till after to bring up court charges and so she can probably incriminate herself further
It suck tho right, that this can happen to a common man who doesn't have the finances and resources to hire such great litigators and that itself can cost them their whole life/reputation, everything. That someone else as vile as her can infact get away with it and has for so long.
It's like asking an art curator if a piece of van Gogh painting is genuine, by showing the curator a photograph of said painting. There is no way the curator can tell from a photo of a painting; let him examine the real thing! Here, the curator is being coerced to say that in the absence of evidence to the contrary, the van Gogh painting in the photograph must be genuine.
I find it telling that when the judge overruled allowing Mr. Neumeister to answer the question Ms. Heards lawyer didn't remember his question and pushed for redirect. Once the lawyer knew his question could not be answered in the way he pleased he no longer desired an answer. That speaks to a question seeking to silence the truth.
This is twice that this female lawyer on Amber's side has accused a witness of only showing on this case for wanting "fame" or to "be on television." First it was that gentleman who was an Ex-TMZ employee, now this airport employee. They are running out of things to say, it's pathetic.
I'm surprised they haven't objected for relevance since AH's team does that for everything- like when they are asking that woman about AH's demeanor after assaulting someone. Like W T F
Exactly! People who don't have some knowledge regarding the photo or this memory back up stuff did not understand the magnitude of this testimony... If there's even a single person on the jury who understands vaguely any of this stuff he'll totally be anti Amber by now, not that people needed this to see how fake her case was
Sadly, as a photographer and involved in the industry for more than 40 years. This witness is speaking a language none of them understand. Facts over truth....
as someone working in digital media daily, that gentleman couldn't have been clearer to me. I only hope the jury is educated enough, to understand the level of tampering
"You are trying to control the narrative" FINALLY someone had the courage to say what they have been doing since the beginning. And I have no idea why the judge seems to be favouring Amber's layers against these witnesses these last days.
I loved how he said that. Hopefully the jury will understand that manipulated versions of several photos exist, the Heard legal team are trying to shut down expert discussion around the colour and contrast changes that were made, and that they are not evidence of injury.

That's what lawyers have to do sometimes in an attempt to win the suit for the client. In this case, AH's lawyers don't have much to work with because it's obvious their client is guilty of lying, and hence their lawyers can only play the strategic role of having to discredit the expert witness and objecting to cut short the time. Bryan Neumeister is demonstrating in his reasoning, that unless you have the original/raw photo, it should not be used as legal evidence. Copies from the original as the potential to chance or photo shopped etc. When you apply for a passport, driver's license etc you have to submit the original documents such as birth certificate, marriage certificate in order go through a process to come up with an acceptable document legally recognised. So, the photos AH submitted should be scrapped as evidence.
Drives me nuts when the lawyer keeps saying “it’s a yes or no question” when the answer is not yes or no. Kudos to this guy for saying he’s trying to control the narrative. That’s all lawyers do anyway.
As a photographer, it’s ridiculous for me to listen to the lawyer keep asking him this question and it is because THE LAWYER DOESN’T UNDERSTAND what a photo is an what a screenshot is. So the expert is TRYING HARD TO explain he cannot read data from a photo that IS NOT A PHOTO. The LAWYER has sent him SCREENSHOTS and you cannot read data from a screenshot where the photo is taken, the resolution, GPS, focal lenght, pixels, EXIF data info in the photo. THE LAWYER is trying to ask within a field that he HAS NO CLUE of. SAD SAD SAD SAD….
As a computer engeneer I feel his frustration. It's pretty hard making complex things understandable, and being interrupted or even questioned just because your explanation is not "easy" enough drives you crazy
This means everyone should stay in their line of expertise. Lawyers stay were you are don't pretend to be doctors, psychiatrists, IT personnel not even photographers. This man is soo good
18:50 I think it’s noteworthy that the only time Johnny seemed to get frustrated or “angry” was when someone else was being bullied pretty hard on his behalf, and just this one time. Amber lost her cool on the stand in defense of herself, and repeatedly at that.
Amber’s whole demeanour during this testimony screams BUSTED! When she edited those pics, she never thought they’d be picked apart by a metadata expert. The reason being because she never though Johnny would stand up for himself and sue her!
Exactly! When they were showing all the pictures of her face and stuff earlier in the trial even I could tell it was multiple different edits of the same picture! Amber's lawyers are literally trying to prove Johnny's witnesses aren't trustworthy. 🙄🙄
Busted for sure! Amber had just told camille that she handed over her phone for forensic testing and her photos were all determined to be the originals😂😂😂
bullshhht. she could have done bare minimum like correct it from green to real skin tone, or added enough lighting to make it visible. that's also called editing. or cropped or resized them. None of which does anything to create a fake bruise. Snapshots can actually lighten up a bruise in the original image so it won't look as dark and bad as it really is. Rather than the opposite.
I noticed that also. I had forgotten she fired her original PR. Before it looked more like a don't talk to me unless it's absolutely necessary kind of relationship. She strikes me as that kind of celebrity.

The mathematical probability of taking two photos that are exactly the same but one with the "vanity mirror light on" is such a mindboglingly high astronomical number it's as close to impossible as you get...of course they were edited despite Amber's claim to the contrary
literally every detail in that photo is the same. The angle, the background noise, her stray hairs, her eyelids, reflections, everything. Even if she somehow managed to take 2 consecutive photos with different lighting, the slightest shaking of her hand, the slightest movement of her head and even blinking would've changed all of these details to a substantial degree. I do camera motion tracking so i can say it's factually impossible that those are 2 separate photos. You can prove this easily by tracking 3-4 features in those 2 photos to get a 2D motion path estimate. I imagine the error/difference will be less than 0.1 pixels aka non existent. The only way those would be 2 separate photos is if she and the camera were frozen in time.
It's literally impossible for the simple fact that she said the vanity lights go around the mirror. That would have removed all the shadows from her face and neck as the light is coming from several different directions. The fact that even the shadows are the same make her claim actually impossible.
Amber's whole body language here shows that she knows exactly what she did and realizes that she is about to be found out. She is nervous and avoiding eye contact; even hiding bits of her face...She honestly thought she was so smart, that Johnny would be so submissive and never take her to court, bring experts to debunk her lies. I am so glad the jury saw right through her...
What is this lawyers name? Absolutely shameful behaviour. So rude and unprofessional. I’m annoyed at this judge too; put the lawyer in check for crying out loud.
Are you kidding???? This judge is a FAIR judge and allowing the lawyers to continue their ridiculous act just adds to the lack of professionalism of Amber's team. She's allowing the jurors to see it like it is on both sides. Nothing wrong with that!
This is the problem with court cases like this when scientific or very technical arguments are presented. Lawyers do not understand them but want to control the narrative. At the end of the day, it's not about truth and justice. It's about impressing the jury with fallacious arguments.
In this case, I believe the lawyer had only 2 options: try to control the narrative, or not ask any questions at all. In hindsight, he probably should've went with option 2, but I'm assuming he's being paid top ask questions, so he had to do something if he wanted to earn his paycheck. I'm also glad he did, because he opened the door that allowed the expert to explain he was never given the actual photos. He was given screenshots of back-ups, and raised the question, if she has nothing to hide, why haven't they given him the actual photos, like the vast majority of people do in these situations?
@@Torch82 The problem is the impact of some questions on the jury. Not all questions have "yes" or "no" answers. I don't think the judge did a great job there, by forcing the witness to answer that way. The lawyer asked his question in a way that is very misleading. He implied that a technical operation was possible but there is no evidence that it was actually performed by Heard. The witness was trying to explain that nobody can perform that operation so, whilst it's technically correct to say that there was no evidence that Heard performed that operation, it would be relevant for the jury to know that this wasn't a situation where Heard was unwilling to perform that operation; she was unable to because everybody is unable to. Those are two different concepts: "I want but I can't" is very different from "I can't but I want".
Oh the lawyers understand(although I don't think her main female lawyer does...not the sharpest knife in thr drawer) but that's why her lawyers keep trying to shut him up. It's bad for them
The lawyers know, it is their immoral job to manipulate the facts and the jury to fit their narrative. Being a lawyer takes a special breed of human, usually one disdained by most people.
"Objection your honor, I wasn't expecting him to actually be an expert in the field because he doesn't have a computer science degree from 42 years ago!"
AH had a legal team who project and personify her character. Absolutely rude, disrespectful and loathsome. Pathetic behaviour towards witnesses. JD's lawyers asked the same type of questions with no animosity. I watched some the case before but only seeing this witness video now.
This guy is good enough for the military, Supreme Court, federal government, but AH team wanted to question is credibility and intelligence?? What a waste of this man’s time!! Shameful!!!
If there isn’t a scientifically correct answer then i don’t see the point of answering it with yes or no. Just by giving out an answer of yes or no he’ll be providing false information, something he can’t do under oath, because just as he stated it’s impossible for anyone to find it, including himself. Amber’s team wants to focus on having him admit that he can’t find it and they won’t accept anything other than yes or no because anything beyond that could damage their case. If he says “no, I didn’t find anything” then it just proves that the photo is authentic and they’re gonna leave it there. But his “No” is just because it’s impossible for anyone to confirm or deny it. It’s very clear they’re trying to direct the narrative in a way to benefit themselves and I’m glad he pointed that out.
Not to mention that he swore to tell "the whole truth" but they won't allow him to do that at all. What's the point of that caveat in their vows to the court if they won't actually allow it? I'm glad he finally decided to go with it being untrue. That's the only good answer he could give in that situation.
In grad school (for anthropology),we discussed the ethics and risk of possible harm for testifying as expert witnesses, and this is one of the issues that came up
I have NEVER in my life seen lawyers ask someone a question and object to their OWN question until I've watched amber heards lawyers!!! And on top of that he said he tried to lie and say he didn't remember his OWN question he asked them seconds prior, they're as bad as Amber.
I love how Amber's attorney tried to slip out of restating his question once his objection got overruled. He was REALLY relying on the witness to follow his lead.
I'm a photographer and filmmaker and I totally understand what this gentleman is saying. Amber and her team are lying pieces of S#!t blows my mind how she is trying to cover up something she can't! I feel bad for Johnny Depp.
@@theCosmicQueen it could be just that or it could be more.... he didn't say the photos were altered, he said there is no way to authenticate the photos because they are not original ones....
This witness wasn’t even taking sides. He was purely explaining what he learned from technical perspectives. And you can tell AH’s lawyer was afraid of what he had to say.
This is actually a case of ignorance and lack of knowledge from all sides apart from the witness. I love the judge for most of what she's done so far in this trial to be fair, but this is one particular bias that sticks out when you have a lack of technical knowledge in a field. AH's lawyer should not be allowed to force an answer they want and JD's lawyer should have argued more for their expert witness's right to answer with clarification . And the judge should not instruct the witness to checkbox tick something he's clearly found to be unanswerable, as an expert.
it is outside of the judge’s duty. in cross examination, you ask leading questions which are questions that demand a yes or no answer. it was on depp’s team to object to the question correctly. if there is no way to object to the question, the witness must answer it yes or no. court proceedings are also very technical, and all of the lawyers are aware of the way testimonies work. the purpose of redirect is for clarification, where they can ask an open-ended question and the witness can give a more nuanced answer. you can’t cross examine after redirect, which is beneficial and lends to the idea that most issues of testimony are more nuanced than yes or no answers. this is why you saw the lawyer during redirect ask a question that allowed the expert to clarify his answer to the specific question he didn’t want to answer yes or no to, and then nothing further.
@@zoesolomon7773 I understand- then the witness can clarify on redirect ...but there are questions that just cannot be answered via 'yes' or 'no'. If the witness answers 'yes' or 'no' to one of those questions the answer is recorded in the transcript and can be used against the witness later/forever. So, it's a very vulnerable position - the witness is obliged to lie. The redirect maybe won't save the witness in a later cross in a future trial because they will show and read the transcript and they will ask: 'On date Y did you testify X under oath?' and again 'yes' or 'no'? Then on the redirect, the lawyer can forget to ask 'In a previous testimony why did you reply X?' (because he/she doesn't know by heart that the witness clarified that answer in a previous redirect) and the witness is then potentially seen as a liar. I don't understand of law but shouldn't be the witness protected on these questions?
the only relevant part was, "is there any evidence" of making fake bruises on photos. that is, cold hard evidence. otherwise - nothing else matters of his testimony. That was a yes or a no. If yes, then ask more questions. If no, that's the end of it.
OMG! Elaine! So every new witness to Amber's behavior are only out to get their ten minutes of fame? That's been her argument to a couple witnesses now. She's something else. And the way the metadata expert was grilled was just insane. I applaud him for sticking to his guns with the lawyer who, as the expert had stated, was trying to control the narrative. Amber's team is playing dirty.
That's when you know that Amber's lawyers are now scraping the bottom of the barrel and has no more substantial arguing points so they just resort to the equivalent of playground accusations, lol.
Once he was forced to be given an answer to a question he asked but decided he didn't want the answer, he said he forgot the question. Good thing the court reporter had the question! The photo evidence going from phone to phone to phone so useless is aewsome. That man was a good witness!
The most hilarious part was when the lawyer was trying to get the expert to say no by twisting the question and gave the expert the perfect out by being able to say "thats incorrect" the lawyer bamboozled himself 😂😂😂
AH’s lawyer humiliated himself by rephrasing his yes/no question with a ‘correct’, making it easier for the witness to answer with ‘INCORRECT’ , useless lawyer 🤣🤣🤣
This is proof that her allegations are a lie and that she meant to defame his character by making and fabricated stories and altered pictures to portray a lie. At this point their should be no question she is a liar.
The fact that Johnny has rings and she once said he “hit her while wearing them” that means she should have had bigger bruises. And her face would have been much more swollen
I’m more referring to that when two photos perfectly overlap, including every tiny little stray hair, it’s a fact that they’re duplicates and at least one is an edit. Amber’s attorneys are trying to control the narrative for a specialist, but the lies are already exposed and evident to the rational public. A specialist on the stand is more to create a platform to then present the reality of the edited photos, thereby exposing the lies
This is the perfect example of the court system being broken. How were they allowed to show screenshots and not present the actual photo for forensics, because the photo will prove it was tampered with
cropped or resized photos aren't the same as tampered photos; that would be if there was a fake bruise painted onto her arm. we have no evidence that happened, but that the pics were copied onto other devices-- maybe for printing.
@theCosmicQueen it's unacceptable to not bring ORIGINALS to court..... when I had to go to court for harassment and online stalking, my whole phone was evidence. I didn't delete anything, nothing did I change.
Thank you kind sir.
agreed, forensic security researcher here, that's exactly what the witness was saying.
Yeeess!!
@@jesusdamian2172 they frame it in a way to make it a yes or no. That's the lawyers job, is to present the questions in a way so that the only response allowed is good for them.

It may have been copied (aside from the obvious photoshopping)

Lol they can't argue with the testimony, so they play narrative games
Wow, thank you for that info.

Absolutely 💯

wish the judge would have reprimanded him, instead of looking up the question for him
You are not crazy.

The word 'Skullduggery' always reminds me of Terry Pratchett.
Did you mean to say instead "spitting a plot line in favor of Amber" and not "Johnny"?
@@neliaferreira9983 no, Nuemeister refrained from giving a narrative to Johnny:- recall Nuemeister was Johnny’s witness. If he gave in and said “yes, I have found evidence that the photos were edited”, and left it at that without an explanation, that would have been a tainted response misleading the jury as it could be interpreted as some intent to manipulate the photo on AH’s part.
However, he was trying to explain that may not necessarily be the case as the photos presented are either screen-grabs or backups of backups (3rd generation photos) and to that point, what is presented in evidence wouldn’t stand to scrutiny, which could just be an honest/rookie mistake:-
that’s why the original phone is important.

How could werthers forget the question,he asked it twice and had it in his notes

How are those pictures even legal to present in court as evidence? Can't even authenticate that they are real. That seems the same as allowing hearsay
bullshhht. she could have done bare minimum like correct it from green to real skin tone, or added enough lighting to make it visible. that's also called editing. or cropped or resized them. None of which does anything to create a fake bruise. Snapshots can actually lighten up a bruise in the original image so it won't look as dark and bad as it really is. Rather than the opposite.
Also, it seems that Amber has new PR agents telling her to smile and be friendly with her team. Yet it looks so made up and inappropriate.
I noticed that also. I had forgotten she fired her original PR.
Before it looked more like a don't talk to me unless it's absolutely necessary kind of relationship. She strikes me as that kind of celebrity.
You’re spot on with that! It looks forced and fake

Yes so weird

The mathematical probability of taking two photos that are exactly the same but one with the "vanity mirror light on" is such a mindboglingly high astronomical number it's as close to impossible as you get...of course they were edited despite Amber's claim to the contrary
Totally: so she managed to turn a light on without moving a single muscle or hair. Not buying it.
Not only that, she testified that it's on different day
literally every detail in that photo is the same.

It's bad for them
Exactly!
The lawyers know, it is their immoral job to manipulate the facts and the jury to fit their narrative. Being a lawyer takes a special breed of human, usually one disdained by most people.
"Objection your honor, I wasn't expecting him to actually be an expert in the field because he doesn't have a computer science degree from 42 years ago!"

lmao! for real!
AH had a legal team who project and personify her character. Absolutely rude, disrespectful and loathsome. Pathetic behaviour towards witnesses. JD's lawyers asked the same type of questions with no animosity. I watched some the case before but only seeing this witness video now.
Him: asks the same question 3 times
Also him: doesn't even let the witness take breath without interrupting
Very obnoxious right?!
This guy is good enough for the military, Supreme Court, federal government, but AH team wanted to question is credibility and intelligence?? What a waste of this man’s time!! Shameful!!!
This guy is way above some of those things you mentioned.
@@lizgee5331 He is the Elden Lord :D
It's a huge insult to experts like that, that someone would try and force them to answer a question that doesn't fit into those boxes.
Not to mention that he swore to tell "the whole truth" but they won't allow him to do that at all. What's the point of that caveat in their vows to the court if they won't actually allow it? I'm glad he finally decided to go with it being untrue. That's the only good answer he could give in that situation.
In grad school (for anthropology),we discussed the ethics and risk of possible harm for testifying as expert witnesses, and this is one of the issues that came up
I know it’s coercion lawyers are curropt
What would've happened if he just replied "No one could", and then refused to any further answer?
I have NEVER in my life seen lawyers ask someone a question and object to their OWN question until I've watched amber heards lawyers!!! And on top of that he said he tried to lie and say he didn't remember his OWN question he asked them seconds prior, they're as bad as Amber.
I love how Amber's attorney tried to slip out of restating his question once his objection got overruled. He was REALLY relying on the witness to follow his lead.
When a lawyer so desperately doesn't want someone to answer a question in full, it certainly isn't a good look for the lawyer or their case.
I'm a photographer and filmmaker and I totally understand what this gentleman is saying. Amber and her team are lying pieces of S#!t blows my mind how she is trying to cover up something she can't! I feel bad for Johnny Depp.
then you know that merely resizing or cropping ALTERS THE PHOTO. or lightening it so it's visible. etc. ( correcting to look like the real object).
Amber's lawyer insisting the lady just wanted to be on TV , How odd for someone to say that. That was totally uncalled for.
Same logic she used on the ex TMZ guy. Truly a sad excuse of a cross examination.
@@phoebedarker right! Those lawyers are running out of questions so they go for cheap shots 😂
That's when you know that Amber's lawyers are now scraping the bottom of the barrel and has no more substantial arguing points so they just resort to the equivalent of playground accusations, lol.
But the TMZ guy dragged her right back and the jury will remember that and possibly make them think the same for her! 🤣
She puts so much weight on 13 years ago. What about Depp’s stuff from 40 years ago that they keep bringing up?
Once he was forced to be given an answer to a question he asked but decided he didn't want the answer, he said he forgot the question. Good thing the court reporter had the question! The photo evidence going from phone to phone to phone so useless is aewsome. That man was a good witness!
He even tried to deflect the judge from recalling it, "we don't need that, they can redirect"! What a farce
embarrassing
The most hilarious part was when the lawyer was trying to get the expert to say no by twisting the question and gave the expert the perfect out by being able to say "thats incorrect" the lawyer bamboozled himself 😂😂😂
Shrimp
For a man that spent over 50 years whom kept private...He would NOT go through this if he was lying. Bam bottom line
My thoughts exactly
Yep. Nothing worse than a lawyer trying to outsmart an expert.
Agreed 💯
Absolutely! No guilty man would ever put themselves thru this horror...So happy JD knocked her off her high horse.
Amber sure has the right legal team... abusive, arrogant, and extremely aggressive
They badgered this poor man to near distraction.
Just like her!
I was thinking that..
AH’s lawyer humiliated himself by rephrasing his yes/no question with a ‘correct’, making it easier for the witness to answer with ‘INCORRECT’ , useless lawyer 🤣🤣🤣
Laughing at this.. the lawyer actually had a chance for this one because the judge had allowed him! Lol
I just hate how hostile can they be with anyone who’s not their team. I mean, LET HIM TALK FOR GS
This is proof that her allegations are a lie and that she meant to defame his character by making and fabricated stories and altered pictures to portray a lie. At this point their should be no question she is a liar.
Bingo.
It has long been obvious she's lying, but the lies have kept mounting up and clearly shown as such
there*
This is not about a specialist. This jury doesn’t need a specialist to tell them how clearly those photos are edited…
If they’re older yes they do
The fact that Johnny has rings and she once said he “hit her while wearing them” that means she should have had bigger bruises. And her face would have been much more swollen
@@denissemedina4619 exactly. I've been punched by a dude without rings on and had much more damage from one punch than she ever had.
@@denissemedina4619 If hit with fist or hand repeatedly would there also be cuts from all the rings
And she claimed Johnny's photo was photoshopped. Funny how she's always accusing Johnny of what she did.
Projection!
That's exactly what Narcissists do. Take note Amber is a sociopathic Narcissist.
