We’ve reach a level when these are no longer cars but art objects like living sculptures.
Lamborghini should buy it back for their museum... that way it's continued condition is assured, and everyone will have the opportunity to see it, rather than it go into a private collection, maybe never to be seen again
Expect if you play this video again
calm down stupid, there's plenty in this condition
Pretty sure Lambo does have some of these in the museum :)
Rover Waters but harsh lol
Every manufacturer stores a minimum of 2 of these bound to be future classic vehicles. One In the most simple and pleasing to the eye exterior and interior choices and one in their most stand out & eye opening design packages. With each vehicle receiving EVERY possible piece of optional extra. Both Kept for the history of its brand.
I love how so many people miss the point of this story. The previous owner decided to keep this car as one would a great piece of art, he did a fantastic job of preserving it and today it is likely the only example to give the next buyer the experience of buying a New Countach until time travel is invented that is. Kudos to the previous owner for having the funding to do this, he already had a driver example to use. This car is a testament to the 80s time period of design and should be shown in a museum or exhibit but to use this car and put wear on it would be a tragedy. Thank you Tom for sharing an incredible story. I hope the new buyer buyer sees this opportunity the same way you do.
The money one must have to get a Lamborghini & park it up to wait for the price to be right some 30 years later. Respect to that fella.
As usual Tom knows everything & sharing the information. Shows a gem 💎
Absolutely amazing. Hats off to your detailer as well! Everything about this piece is better than brand new!
Really enjoy these videos Carl - your passion is clear to see!
Fantastic content Carl. Keep them coming!
Great video. I love your passion and knowledge on these cars and you are down to earth 👍
NEED to see a video on the Sang Noir as it is simply stunning. Love these vidoes, great job guys.
400k for such a stunning unicorn.. I was waiting for the price and along the way thought it would be near a million, Cheers from the Netherlands
There is one in Montreal 550k usd
Incredible car, fascinating insight. Thank you.
Have owned a one off Green Lambo anniversary for 30 years ,love the car and I look at it and treat it like work of art which it is ,drive it rarely as without power steering it is a killer to park but between 60 -9o mph there is nothing on the road like it ,the fuel comes out the exhaust the cabin is a real petrol heads cockpit and the thrill is just Bellissimo
Link to video's?
Stunning.....credit to Tom Hartley’s for capturing this car on film, for car enthusiasts to see. Great channel, just a real shame I probably won’t ever be able to afford anything you sell.
Was this the same one for sale 5 years ago. Amazing! Love it
What a machine. Anyone who can afford this SHOULD definitely snatch your hand off at that price. Was my poster car.
Had a go in a red one. Without the wing on. Around castle Combe race circuit. I loved it. Great video sir 😃
The only problem I would have buying this is I would have to buy another identical one to drive. It has to be my favourite car of all time, I prefer the 5000QV because of the cleaner lines, but the Anniversary in black is beautiful, love it!
Lucky owner! One of my favorites of all times. The countach! It would be hard not to drive it tho.
Just subbed, great upload & great car
Super fun to drive. More of a raw experience
Big thumbs up for keeping the spoiler on.
Great video, this is just unfortunately amazing
Wow! Amazing example!
You would have made more by buying a flat in london...
Great video production
Who didn’t fall in love listening to this cars story. Popped across to Autotrader wondering how much she may be
This car is amazing 😍
Nice video again ceep up the Nice work
Hi Tom
Loving your videos, I’m in the market to buy a SV , I’m definetly going to buy it from you !
God bless folks that keep these cars alive
As a detailer working at Tom Hartleys has to be the ultimate job
Brilliant video. What a bargain.
Surely it's damaging for a car to be sat there for that long. No fluids running round the engine, rubber hoses and seals all perished etc.
He said car was serviced and started on regular basis, so it should not be so bad.
It was looked after like a Picasso .... serviced regular by Lamborghini every six moths I think he said.
Do you even watch the video?
really..its been pampered!
wtf....ya its been looked after....not a shitty ricer..or even a hellmeowww! charger..its a lambo.....!
What a gem💎
Never been on the road but been driven to the MOT centre... Something does not add up here
thought the same...delivered at 60km on the clock but now has 221km?... how big's that MoT station!!? 😁
@@PompeyMatt17 It might have a couple of mechanic test drives in those miles, it's an old car after all. 221km is nothing, that's a weeks worth for most people.
@@PompeyMatt17 he said the mot station was a mile away too. So a 30 year old car minus the first three years will be 27 miles x 2 there and back that’s 54 miles, add 60 that’s 114 miles, where has the extra mileage come from.
@@andrewnichols1023 if the mot Centre was 1.3 miles each way that solves it
@@cephasmakuzva probably right, but he needs to be more accurate as that cars driving history is known and his maths doesn’t add up. People buying a car like that, at a premium want to know that every bit of mileage can be accounted for as it’s so low and only one owner.
Man the black paint with those wheels  :)
stunning and a great price..
Enjoyed that👏👏👏🇦🇺
Dont suppose you have an advert photo shot by Helmut Newton in the late 80's for Lamborghini aftershave that featured a yellow Countach periscope ? I misplaced my copy which I tore out of a magazine.
How easy is it to fiddle the mileage like the F40?
Soooo lovely
Wow, this is something unbelievable for me, that there is still a brand new Countach in hand of a collector. I would buy it and name it "Black Bull".
I like the angular design of the Countach, this sooo uniqueness and memorable 😁
Awesomeness
One to rock and one to stock
What a great car
I own a 25th Anniversary and drive it often. Cars are meant to be driven, and driving this one is an event. Should someone buy this example only to admire it at a standstill? That seems sad to me.
Agreed, and good on you for taking the thing out. Old girls need love too ;) I hope this one gets bought, gets taken to somewhere like Topaz or NV for full protection and at least sees the road to the pub on a saturday or sunday. The only museum Countach should be at the Lamborghini factory.
Did yours come with a rear spoiler or didnt you add one?
I have to agree, but when you pay the required amount you can do what you chose..
@@Zepherian I have my M4 wrapped in PPF by Topaz big investment but well worth it
AudiS4B7 Mine came with an uninstalled rear spoiler. I much prefer the look of the car this way.
Interesting time to sell just now having had it in storage for so long - when there may be fewer buyers and lower values perhaps?
There's never been so many people able to view these cars and want one so to the right man with cash it's a gotta have regardless of what's going on in the world
Never liked the overweight looking 25th anniversary. It is gaudy, even for a Lamborghini. If it was a 5000QV in this condition it'd be worth the $700k that the collector thought this one could be. I think that's why this one in pristine condition is only 400k. If i was the owner I'd hold onto this for about another 5-10 years to see if it goes up in value.
One day I am buying this from you ✨💯
Tom Hartley jr = the ultimate daddys boy 😄😄
Bargain - IF kept like this, which of course would be a shame.
I prefer the LP400 myself and then the 500s then 5000 QV.
Always special in my heart. Had one of these and a Vectra on my wall as a kid.
Harry Metcalfe should love this. Maybe put in an offer
Too Many car for this guy that he would not to be driven! Those cars need to be alive my friend. 😌
Unbelievable!!!!
With it having it less than 200 miles only .. the value would exceed £5 mil maybe even sell more than the Model that achieved 7.6mil at Auction last year .Though that wasn't a Countach
Hi Tom loved the video, question are some cars like this one not worth putting in your collection and keeping for yourself and in 25 years it might be worth 1mill? Than turning a wheel for a profit?
Hi Jason hope you are safe & well , we don’t buy cars to keep !! we buy to sell 👍🏻
@@tomhartleycars156 I understand that for sure, but this car will never come up again so it's kinda priceless and could be worth double in 10 years, so is that not worth the investment for long term profit?
jason bull Amazing car but remember you've got 10 years high end storage and comprehensive servicing with Lamborghini to keep its value let alone the chance it'll appreciate. For these buyers it's the pure pleasure of ownership and it's exclusivity. The appreciation is a bonus, rather than a priority.
@@brynleytalbot778 alot of people who have this sort of cash buy these cars as investments, putting your money in an appresciating asset is better than any bank can offer you, they have no intention in ever driving them yes its nice eye candy, but to see your investment grow every year must be rewarding, put 400k in a bank a the return will be next to nothing
Best spec
When I was a young man I made a little money and I had good credit..there was one for sale for 125k with 5500 miles on it ..I wish I could go back and time and bye it.....I bought a nsx 91 for 44k .....now I can’t afford anything but at one time I was trying my dream cars
I love the look but I'd want one in red or white. It should be driven. Thanks.
Crazy thing is with these...............a few allen key bolts on the dash would enable the speedometer to be dis connected! SOOOO EASY!
If I was rich and could drive. I'd buy this for my 40th birthday in July. It would be no garage queen.
same! my 40th is December
It's never been on the road it's been back and forward to mot to get up to 137 miles wow it must fly
That’s a beautiful example it’s just a shame it’s not an early low body or a qv model with the epic 80s look. It got a bit fussy and over worked on the body with the anniversary model.
How much was it new in 1990? Did the owner make a good return on his investment when you bought it from him ?
Ok, ok, enough already ... I’ll take it 🤣
Headlights look frosted over. Need polishing?
THEY ARE INDICATORS,the head lights pop up. they should be frosted!
Thought that would be way closer to 1m
Covid19 laughing at your estimate 😷
Kib Kib agreed all cars are losing money but prior to this situation it's a good point well made
Worthy of being in a Lambo museum, How much would Lambo offer for it?
they have one allready
Would love to see an Enzo video. It's the number 1 car ever made
fuck thats insane
if i bought it, i'd drive the hell out of it lol
Totally awesome. I wish I could afford it. But make no mistake,, if I could purchase the car, I would drive it right outta that showroom to home! And proceed to take my kid to his baseball games, and the wife out to dinner!!
👊👊
Countach not Contach say it correctly bro...
Still, what a car. 80s legend
Wrong. In Italian, the right pronunciation is KOON-tuck but in English most commonly pronounced KOON-tash.
@@ToBeOrNotToBeThatIsTheQuestion you just want to say KOON don't ya🤔
@@PerfectPetProductions No. I want to educate people about the right way of saying it.
What a waste, in current money he must have spent £100k on storage costs. There are better looking Countachs than the 25th anniversary and that engine will need some sort of recommissioning as well if you are you going to use it.
Storage costs? he has the space... and servicing? part of the fleet service costs... price he gets? doesn't really bother him one way or another...
He's doing future generations of people, a service. This is eventually be a museum piece of one of the few Countach's that are AS NEW
Ok 👌
Please...... drive it!!
Why is the seller selling it then if it's only £400k after doing so much to maintain it, yet a very good used version is around £300k, so all of that headache, costs for storage and maintenance for only £100k or so, surely the owner is worth a heck of a lot.
love the vids but the word is countach as in count not contach ok,now also all tyres have a manufacturers date stamp eg 4319 this will be 43rd week of 2019 .this is so all tyres are good for roughly 6 years shelf life, this when they start to deteriorate .so if they are the original tyres bin them now
Those US spec Countach’s lol !!!!
I acually kinda like the US bumpers. Look like a radar jammer on a fighter jet.
@@04dram04 Yes, agreed, all have their place
Countach!!lol
Does Mickey Rourke know he has a long lost son?
COOntash
I always thought that aniversary cars came with out spoilers, a friend gave me a spin in his only British Racing Green 25th Ani car www.amarisupercars.com/detail/178336/lamborghini-countach-25th-anniversary
here is that car I found it I knew the 1st owner and it didnt have a spoiler from the factory, it was this guy that told me that as we queud behind a purple Diablo 30th Ani to go around goodwood circuit
MrThearnichols cheers cheap now a days lol
Unusual pronunciation of countach .I’ve been hearing the word for 40 years ,never heard it pronounced like that
Carrera 1972 same with the "nu" as opposed to new. Think i am getting too old..... not quite the usual firty free pronunciation but am sure he will get there soon. :)
David 777 Smith
I know exactly what you mean David , my kids have started talking in a bizarre new language’ replacing th with f at the start of words
I ‘fought ‘rather than ‘thought ‘ !
Don’t get me started on the new London Jamaican esque type accent it drives me insane !!
Carrera 1972 and my favourite ........ "sumthink". The english language is being destroyed. My old teachers would be turning in their grave
Tom did you slap the owner for not driving it ?
That spoiler on the front thing seemed almost fake. What possible regulation could have caused such an abomination? It's blocking the headlights! LOL
thats a bargain... money in the bank...
There is an identical one to this with the cream interior for sale in Canada with 135 KM on the odometer. Price is $799,900 USD. There is still the original plastic on the seats. Link below.

Wonderful story. Iconic car. Funny how bad they drive in real life. I mean by todays standards, obviously.
I love everything except the gear knob lol looks like an old walking stick
Here's a guy that was able to drive a Countach and took it on a road trip :
ruclips.net/video/TB7_YZMqOWw/видео.html
This is the car Jesus would drive if he came back.
you kind of look like horacio's son:)
27yrs. Put away.
Let's say a modest $300 a month storage fee x 12
X 27 yrs. = $97000 😮
Do not get why ppl buy cars just to store them, they gotta be driven, there are other ways to make money instead of storing cars for years
i noticed a few things that don' t add ,up the inside carpet is not original.the tires are original, the rest interior looks good excellent except the side sills or scuff plates, too many scratches where it wrights Lamborghini they forgot to change .the motor has new leads ,my car has about 18000km but i'm still running the original leads and they actually burn out if you use them they should be new on a car like that not red ones. all the water hoses look like they have been changedi can not see the red line pirelli hose. A few years ago i'll tell you a story ,i wanted to buy a Testarossa . and it suppose to have 17000km on the clock. the sales man said to me they change that and that.when he oped the bonnet or hood ., i told him straight out this to me looks like is done 117000. i have a lamborghini with 13000km and when you open the bonnet it looks new, this looks like sh_t! he walked away from me straight away. if the camera was not moving so much i could tell you even more things.I'm sorry to say this car to me looks like its been rebuilt, good job but!
Every time he says the word contact he's winding me up lol!
It's pronounced coontash not contash!!
For someone who sells cars for a living you'd think he'd know that doh!😀😀
Shut up dick.. Do you have one?
@@danielneil6276 Are you asking does he have a dick ? That's an odd thing to ask anyone
Wrong. In Italian, the right pronunciation is KOON-tuck but in English most commonly pronounced KOON-tash
@@ToBeOrNotToBeThatIsTheQuestion . My point exactly koontash! Point made thank you for that lol👍
700k all day long
