This was my first poster car. I remember buying it at a school book fair. What a stunner... This car is ground zero for my love of cars. Never was too interested in the F40 apart from learning about it and it's importance/abilities as an Anniversary car.
An F 50 sold in Melbourne, Australia late November 2019 with the soft and hard tops, ooks, tool kit, magazine and log books. luggage and yeah . . . European Size 44 inch boots lol. 🤩 It only had 1 800 miles and was selling for £ 2 million pounds.
I agree 100% with your passion for the F50. Born in 1985 the two I desire most are the F50 and F355, ticked one so far would love to obtain an F50, simply hasnt been bettered since.
Enjoying these videos. There is nowhere I would rather buy a car from. Leaders in the industry. I watched the new showroom video last year and true to what you or your dad said I notice some of the "competition" are now trying to update their showroom.
I was born in 77, U.S.,. The first drawling I did, I was 2 my family Italian, my grandfather drew the side view of a 67 GTO,.. my first diecast model was a 275 GTO,.. the first poster was the F40 then the model.. I've always loved Ferrari, my grandfather introduced me and even though I was young, the 60s Ferraris were always my favorite beautiful lines,.. the newer cars just don't do it for me, they're fast yes insanely fast, but the beauty I believe is in the heritage, the F50 is beautiful and the sound of a V-12 and a manual gear box is even better great car love how the weave shows through the paint!. GREAT example!! That car I wouldn't drive but I'll drive the one that guy wrecked in Cali.. I'll drive the piss outta that one
2 million pounds 3 years ago for this specimen!! Lol this car as it sits is 4 mill now. I love the rise is f50 values. Really brings joy to my heart. Carl is spot on describing this as blue chipn3 years ago. If you bought that particular car a week after this video aired today you would have at least 2 million in gains.
About 7 or eight years ago I visited the local Ferrari dealership in Belfast were an owners club had gathered, it’s the only time I have ever seen an F50 in the flesh and it was incredible despite the fact the paintwork was dull and fading, I was a little bit furious that the owner had let it get into that state but the car was well used so props to him for that at least!
onkouth I remember that F50 in Charles Hurst! I had just passed my driving test and was driving a Corsa but it had the plate on from my Dad’s Porsche. One of his old 911’s happened to be on their forecourt and when they saw my registration I was invited into the showroom as they were starting the F50!
Paul8342 that’s cool, it was definitely a good day to visit and see the cars, it’s not often you see F50s, I’ve seen plenty of F40s, now the only one I’ve yet to see out of the big 5 is the 288 GTO, which is incidentally my favourite, I doubt as time goes by it will become harder to find one them 👍
I was extremely young when they introduced the F40. I admired it. Then they introduced the F50. I was 17 or 16 at the time. So yeah, I've always found the F50 the better vehicle overall. It was so directly derived from F1. Some people have issues with the way it looks, but I prefer my vehicles to be curvy. The F40 always looked so angular. Regardless, vehicles I'll never be able to afford or be able to drive (since I don't know anyone who's this wealthy.. I'm just a peasant..). The F50 will always be my runner up Supercar. The Mac Daddy taking 1st place of course. :-) If only I had 2mil pounds kicking around...
I have seen his videos,, and like the info and comments a lot,, but running away from an accident is the lowest of the lowest,,, IMO,,, but what they say,, what goes around comes around
He paid his debt Hartley was sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended for two years, and was ordered to undergo 200 hours' unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for two years.
Search tip on RUclips: ‘F40 F50 Reims’. I prefer the looks of the F40, but for the rest, especially the sound, the F50 is the greatest. F40 doesn’t even come close
My favorite Ferrari of all time!!! The F40 seemed rough and rushed to compete with the 959( it's was just a rebodied 288 with more power). The F50 was a car built to compete with the world. Unfortunately the F1 was out at this time and killed the F50 no matter what track they were on. I'd still take the F50 over the F1. Provided I wasn't allowed to sell either and the service was free.
Loads of people love the F40 because it was their poster car BUT that demographic is getting older now the F50 / Enzo would be their halo cars. I like the F40 but it’s build quality and relative high production numbers just puts me off too much. I known I would be more irritated by it than love it. The F50 for me represents a car that has way more racing heritage than the cars that immediately preceded it. BUT... £2m? Nah would want something more current tech-wise for that money. Zonda or this? No contest
Ferrari’s are amazing but they always put small/crap wheels......... The Enzo is amazing but again small crap wheels, look cheap. The only Ferrari with decent wheels is the F40........
The F50's ugly front headlights, huge air intakes and plain looking rear, aren't as good looking as the F1. But that curvaceous side view with the body integrated, high mounted rear wing, is just sexiest thing ever. Looks: F1 8/10 from all sides. F50 6/10 back and front. 10/10 side view perfection.
The weave on that car is next level! Stunning

I've NEVER seen such immaculate paintwork.

Out of the famous 5 Ferrari line up,
Iam taking the F50 with no regrets.
bryan LaF Aperta + F50 are the best 2.
F50 and 288 GTO for me
@@guuslombarts9004 exact same choice for me .
They're cool and the engine is directly bolted to the passenger tub. But there's nothing like an f40 lm.
finally a proper f50 video
I really enjoyed you sharing your passionate relationship with this car . Thank you. Please could you do a video on the grey LP640.
Didn't Jeremy Clarkson once say on Top Gear that driving the F50 was like having the engine bolted to your spine?
It can feel however it wanted to. Even if it as smooth as Bentley it's not a daily anyway. 1:1 diecast.

Also born in 1985 and that’s also my 2 favourite Ferrari’s. The F40 has always left me stone cold actually.
A few stupid questions, how do you protect them from a hurricane, earthquake, flooding , tornado or ceiling sprinkled water?

The F50 is the best looking Ferrari ever.
Superb video as ever Carl, fantastic insight into these cars. Can’t wait to meet you both later on this year for the book signing.

The driving boots would be very handy to do a runner in, after you have an accident whilst pissed........
I have seen one of the Nero Black cars. The guy owned Becker Beeper. He lived in Highland Park, Illinois.
Always good to hear To Carl talking about Ferraris, that Veyron SS next to the f50 is beautiful

I do remember that day till today :)
And that magic number above 500 was something to me :)
"they hold their money in times like these". All cars are suffering 🧐

This and the 355 Berlinetta made me love the Ferrari Brand when I was 7 years old 😍
f40/f50 , Porsche 959 , Countach .. were thee Poster Cars .. .

I was completely engrossed in this video. F50 is lovely of course, but I just adore the F40

I want this car if you could just give me 6 numbers I'll come get it thanks carl

288 GTO is my pick,,,,,,, F40 and E30 M3 are in my opinion unreal overhyped,, so the F50 is my next pick,, dont like the Enzo or Laferrari
2 Million that's a steal ........... Ps Cars are meant to be driven
If I closed my eyes it’s like listening to your Dad 😂 a fascinating video to watch. Thank you 🙏
I have even sat my son in the car, I was a bit older than him....comedy gold 😉

GTA PLAYER Yea because I am buying half his showroom :).
Awesome
The most least expensive lol... nice sales pitch though...
Wish my daddy was rich
Then get him to work a bit harder.
Then again you could do what his dad did, start from the bottom and work hard.
Michael Walker too late for that
A collector s car with fucking drill holes in the front bumper 😠
Someone tag shmee
Don't sell it to Shmee, he'll paint it blue and put a lot of miles on it.
What's wrong in doing what it were made to do? Cars are meant to be driven, not turned into garage queens.
Oh no!? Someone who drives a car!? Unbelievable!!!!
Dudes 22 years old and looks 45
Skip the lame video , f50 was so majestic the way it was marketed, it was a super car
Such a stupid comment / money in the bank isn’t safe, but a £2mm F50 is - deluded
It’s 4.5 mil now in 3 years. How about that for ROI?
Tom, aperta is pronounced (a-pear-ta)..🙂
Be worth 50 quid in a few months
Ugly car, if it wasn't a Ferrari it would have been lucky to sell a dozen.
F50v Urs ok ok Se
Better looking than the F1? Ha!

Christ he sounds like a slimy stock broker, don't think he could spell passion.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The F50 is an UGLY car.
