- Luxury supercar dealer Tom Hartley has opened the doors to his £10m showroom for Car Dealer Magazine as part of our Selling Supercars video series.
Hartley explains what drives him, how he started in the car industry and his secret to his sales success - and even takes us for a spin in a £2.4m Ferrari LaFerrari.
Hartley has been in the motor trade for 50 years and now runs the supercar selling estate alongside his son Carl. He reveals why he still loves selling cars five decades after he began.
Sat alongside some supercars costing millions of pounds, Hartley says he has sold some of the most expensive cars in the world from his dealership. Find out why he loves this industry so much in this video interview.

Keep going Tom. I'm not in the same game as you but been in my aspirational collector/owner business (music) for 40 years, still got the passion, still wake up every day not knowing what I'm going to be offered or sell. Similarly, never borrowed, always financed myself.
I have enjoyed looking at Tom Hartleys cars since i was a lad now 63 all I can say is that he is a superb advert for passion and doing what you love. Long may he continue and maybe I’ll win the lottery 😂

6:50 If I was driving a £2.4m La Ferrari I would have given way to oncoming traffic :-> Test drives must be heart stopping with some customers. Story reminds me of Sir Tom Farmer, founder of Kwik-Fit; slightly less glamorous but just as fascinating how he went from Scottish roots to multi-millionaire.

I have followed tom for ages and he is a gelreat person and is an amazing role model that tell it as it is rather than what he thinks people want to hear.
I've been following TH for around 40 years - I remember; I used to cycle to the petrol station as a boy to just look at his ads in the car mags (Only looked as could not afford to buy them) like Top Marques, Auto Trader and various newspapers (Times) etc. An amazing company

Stop trying to be cantankerous, and just respect the fact that some people state the truth that hurts others! It’s a well known fact, that derby in general is a shit hole, industrial area. The Derbyshire countryside is quite pretty, but that doesn’t stop the peasants that live there, hence they live next to average houses and a mobile home park. Not to mention it’s significantly cheaper. I have lived 6 months in derby whilst I was on a placement at university 6 years ago, trust me I know my shit. The average house price is 3/4 times cheaper than where I live for the same sort of property. Their houses are beyond garish, learn your place. Finally, if you knew anything about the English language, you’d realise it would be envy not jealousy. Jealousy is to do with relationships, envy - things - typically materially. Now I’ve cremated you, I suggest you stay quiet! 😂

Mclaren intended to build far more F1s, but they couldn’t sell them.
I thought this guy was going to be a bell end but I was quite surprised he’s the opposite.
