Jay is passionate and deeply knowledgeable about cars and his enthusiasm comes through all of his videos, which just make them a joy to watch.
@Elliot Rodger Sorry, Elliott, but the "ultra rich" drive Paganis...as daily drivers. Jay is not even "rich" by the standards of 21st Century America. He was just smart enough to buy most of these cars when they weren't so expensive only the REAL rich could afford them. And that's the Jay Leno thing: it wasn't just money - it was as much smarts.

That Alpine CD player was from the 2000's, not as "classic" as the car, but still cool they kept it Alpine. Great video, Jay, just let me know if you need another driver to help you test out these cars... ha ha
Damn! i'm only 18 so i don't remember much about the the late 90's but i do remember a Lambo dealership close to my dads work. Me and my brother would look into the window a admire a purple diablo they had on showcase.

You haven't really addressed the point that I made Shaun. I never said that the current crop of Lamborghini's aren't great cars. When Richard Hammond described the new Huracan in relation to the past Lamborghinis he's reviewed, he said, "As a car, this Huracan is probably better than all of those other Lamborghinis. But, those cars are better Lamborghinis." And that is precisely my point. Great car or not, the latest crop of Lambos have strayed a long way from the original philosophy that Ferruccio had when he gave up tractor production in favor of cars. And, that is why I regard Lamborghini as having effectively died with the Diablo. We are, philosophically speaking, dealing with a completely different company today.
Philosophically speaking, all auto manufacturers are completely different companies than they were 60 years ago. In fact, most manufacturers are completely different companies than they were 60 years ago. It's called progress, I'm most instances.
"It's called progress, I'm most instances." In most instances, yes. And, for the most part, progress and evolution improves the breed. I'm still not a fan of the 991 911's steering as opposed to the 997, nor am I a fan of the direct injection, but I cannot deny that it is an incredible car to drive. Having driven both modern and classic Lamborghinis though, it's a different story. The reason the 911 and corvette are the Rolexes of the sports car worlds is that they possess consistency between generations. Do they make changes? Of course. The G-forces are higher. The styling has changed. The numbers are bigger (in everything from horsepower to MPG), but the cars still feel fundamentally similar between generations. New Lamborghinis, with the exception of the 550-2 Gallardo (and possibly the 580-2 Huracan. IDK because I haven't driven it yet), all feel completely alien compared to the Miura, Countach, and Diablo. The three cars I just named, the "real" Lamborghinis, if you will, also feel completely different. They are only united by their V12 and the incredible sense of alienation. Driving them is unlike anything else. Even the Aventador is as easy to drive as a VW golf once you get used to the turning radius and size. You have to be absolutely thrashing a modern Lambo to make it feel special (particularly with DCT cars like the Huracan), and that is why these cars are not deserving of the Lamborghini badge. EVERY moment in a Miura feels special. Same goes for the other two. That reference to emotion may seem silly, but supercars, PARTICULARLY Lamborghinis, are emotional purposes. Want a car for its performance numbers? Go buy a Camaro ZL1, Hellcat, or a GTR.
To hell with all these so-called can-be-driven-by-grandma lamborghinis they're coming out with. The Diablo was the last of a dying breed of pull your hair out wall poster lamborghinis. This is an awesome machine and thank you Jay for sharing it with the new kids on the block and letting them know what the term 'Supercar' ACTUALLY means.

as much as i like the new Huracan, Aventador and Sesto Elemento, the old school one still has my heart. The Countach and the Diablo are timeless beauties/beasts.

I think the same thing too every time I see a Diablo!
This car is one of the many many reasons Dumb & Dumber is my favorite movie of all times lol
" What if he shot me in the head...thats a chance we were willing to take" haha my favourite movie...and my dream vacation is still to go to aspen...preferably in a lambo with a stupid outfit on haha
"We'll take it!" VROAAAAR
Hey guys! Ahhh big gulps huh??
Welp, see ya later!
I love this car definitely better looking then the Countach
Jonathan Díaz meh
There is nothing like the Countach. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
First time I saw the car I fall in love with it, its one of the best design that ever made ❤❤❤❤💯
Omg this is probably the best colour for diablo ever. :o white raven. It's amazing to see people so passionate about the cars that they work with daily. You'd think they got tired of it after so many years of exposure but they still fresh in the love. Respect!
The Diablo was my favorite supercar growing up. I wonder how much they go for :)
~150k now
dat evil sound! like a swarm of killerbees
Always loved the slightly rounded corners on wheel wells but it's just in the overall design. This is a beautiful car.
Beautiful... Still incredible
