I use to work at Meade Lamborghini of Lakeside about 30 years ago. Don’t think it’s still in business, or the owner moved it. We had a 30 year anniversary purple Diablo, and I absolutely fell in love with that car. Although backing those things up is a total pain in the ass! We also had another customer have a removable golf club rack welded to his Diablo😅.
Another great story from John. The man is so passionate about the brand and obviously very savvy in purchasing the rare models. I agree about the metallic green, great color 👍🏻
Fascinating! There are different worlds out there. Record breaking price for a Diablo sitting in a kitchen never being driven. I guess it is all relative. My modest life would seem unbelievable to someone living in a grass hut. We all have a lot to be thankful for.

Like many people I can agree that this is the greatest spec Lamborghini Diablo! Personally I love dark green a lot, and the new collector has gotta be the luckiest man alive! That's one amazing spec that deserves to be rare in it's 16 or 17 limited number!!! The guy representing the company has been blessed to experience such an interesting story like this before selling it to the next owner!
What's cool as well is that on Google Street View if you put yourself on the corner of the BMW dealership, it appears as though both the Countach and Diablo are parked outside the shop.
This has to be one of the most beautiful Diablos ever made next to the SE 30 in that metallic purple. Due to the color it looks like its related to the Jaguar XJ220 which is almost always seen in this same color.
