All jokes aside, we need to change the way women are treated, marketed to and portrayed in the self defense industry. That is the worst part of these things.
That's why i like when you do videos with women, cause you teach real life scenarios that'll hopefully motivate other women and show them they can do it too🙌🙌🙌🙌
As a guy with long hair I have some tips for Mike because he seems to wear the wig a lot, brush the hair beforehand, tuck it behind his ears but if you're in the wind you have no chance.
I was thinking about the scenario of that one. They were on a slippery floor with the man having shoes with no traction, so maybe you could make him do the splits. But, yeah the third kick into groin is what made that one almost practical.
This video will save someone's life, I mean not against a physical attack, they'd be fkin dead, but maybe the laughs will make their day happier and rethink their lives
This video is awesome, and hilarious, and it has a great message. That being said: Troom Troom self defense videos are so bad, I wouldn’t even test them out in my bad self defense series because I assumed they were a joke. When my kids found some of them on RUclips, they wouldn’t stop laughing about how bad they are. I mean, when a six and nine year old instantly know it’s garbage, what are the chances that any adult human being with a modicum of intelligence would take Troom Troom seriously as self defense advice? Maybe the real problem is that Troom Troom is marketed on RUclips as “made for kids” so it ends up being recommended to children on RUclips’s kids platform. Not every child has a dad who has coached them in combat sports since they could walk.
To be fair, your kids already have a wealth of knowledge that a lot of adults are lacking. You also have to account for how naturally lazy we are as a species, so anything that looks like it can protect you while using the least amount of energy (in both the technique and in terms of energy spent training) will always be appealing to those who live a more sedentary lifestyle. And then, there is the Dunning-Kruger effect. People gain a little bit of knowledge on things like pressure points and think they know a lot, then see those terrible videos that enforce this belief through "practical demonstrations". I've actually had friends sharing such videos on Facebook. As soon as I get them to tag someone they know who has boxing experience in those posts, they quickly learn how terrible those videos really are. Because they will always believe a boxer over a martial artist on account that they can actually understand how boxing works.
Lots of adults don't have a modicum of intelligence unfortunately. But as you said the real problem is this is targeted to a demographic that is still developing reasoning skills and expects all knowledge to be in short form clips instead of long form training. It's bad stuff. Although I would love to see you do these videos in your series.
Your videos portray alot of them really unfairly though like you aren't even trying to make them work. you just know they are bad so you don't try, it doesn't educate anyone.
You guys are deep. This video was so epic. Most people missed the small details you all put into your production. The side story that started in 8:23 came to fulfillment at 11:12 . Great character development! Oscar worthy !
@@jamjambo351 That's just one of the many problems with these videos, in order for a technique like that to work the women they're marketing need to have Brian Shaw levels of grip strength (I doubt the average woman has grip strength on the level of the 4x World's Strongest Man Brian Shaw.) Master acrobats might be able to pull off some of these things, but the average person (male or female) would not be able to do that, for the OP it's more of a point where if you're large enough most attackers wouldn't be able to do much if you decided to take them to the ground. But once again grip strength and control of your body comes into play.

Yeah I think it‘s supposed to be based on a technique where you try to force pressure into the person‘s ears this way, damaging their ear drums, which painful and disorientating. I agree. Often these techniques are not taking into account the difference in strength and stature between the attacker and victim. Sure you can learn how to use someone's weight to your advantage but not by watching a RUclips video. You need to train against many different opponents in order to understand the mechanics for yourself. And if I hear one more man say the best thing to do is just give them what they ask for I will scream. Generally men's primary concern in these situations is being mugged. But that is not the case for women. Generally when women think about being attacked their main concern is rape.
