I couldn't be any happier with this paddle. You really nailed it. It's clear that you spent a lot of time using and thinking about the paddle, and you articulate its features so very well, better than all the other reviewers in my opinion. Also, I think its worth mentioning this paddle's maneuverability. Super fast hands at the net with this paddle. Thanks for all of your great content. Really enjoy your paddle reviews.

Very good review! I have the R1 Pulsar and I agree with you that it is harder to control and almost too poppy. I just ordered the R1 Nova based on Brandon and your reviews. I believe it what I need! I also have the Prism V7 and it’s a good defensive paddle but not enough power! Thanks!!

I have one, and I freaking love it.
    Not over the top price.
    Extremely durable.
    Best all around top performance.
I'm curious how the R3 Nova will be when it comes out. Maybe more focus for doubles play.

Now that I’ve gotten used to how it plays I love the paddle

It's sibling the Ronbus R1 Pulsar is basically similar or even better. Ive demo'd both Nova R1 and Pulsar R1, and imo the R1 Pulsar is a more all around paddle

So, does this paddle sit somewhere between the prism and other thermoform paddles for power? I love my prism flash, but do find myself wanting a little more power at times, and I'm nervous to go to a thermoform, because I don't have time to drill and get my drops and dinks dialed.

Please pleeeeeeeeease look into reviewing the Pickleball apes pro line energy or pro line energy S. John Kew and Pickleballstuidio both love this paddle because it checks all the boxes. Good pop and power, top tier spin, while still having a satisfying plush feel to it that has been compared to the same feeling as the Hyperion. I feel like you being a tennis player, you’ll especially like the pro line for singles because it’s a full 17” long, and then the pro line s for doubles. But, people have said both of the excel im both, just personal preference. The Pro Line S is considered a hybrid shape at 16.4 long.

I just switched to the nova from a dbd and I'm still trying to figure out the best lead set up. What are your thoughts Luca?

I liked it a little farther up the paddle face on this one for a bit more plow through and power.

Interesting switch - why did you decide to do that?
