R1 Ronbus FX Pickleball Paddle Review by Famous By Friday Pickleball (Use code RCLCGL11 for $20.00 off your next Ronbus Paddle Purchase) #Ronbus PulsarFXReview #newpaddlereview
After playing a few hours with the FX R1 paddle since I got it this week, I'm kinda wondering how this passed USAP testing when the Gen 3 Joolas are delisted. It hits like a Mack truck when you drive, serve and punch your volleys and you definitely feel the variable hard/soft slight trampoline effect. I'm struggling with adapting my technique to take off some power and hit soft enough for dinks and drop volleys as it's much more powerful than my 11six24 Hurache-X Control Kevlar 14mm (waiting for a replacement as the edge guard started detaching). Speedups are easy though as just a quick roll of the wrist launches a fast dipping shot. Oddly, it does have a similar soft feel for the face as Kevlar when you're not hitting hard (despite having more pop) and is extremely stable and forgiving. I have edge tape around the top of the head and 3g of tungsten on the lower corners. Like Kip says, I'm going to need some more time to adjust to playing with it.
My paddle of choice! Love the stability of this paddle that was added to the Pulsar without losing the pop/power. Nothing is overwhelming with this paddle but is solid and gives me real confidence in what it can do.
What paddle would you choose to use for aggresive play taking them out of the air at transition zone. I think filth is fine. But looking for somthing with a little pop n power, elongated & just a tad more in width than the filth in 7.8 to 8 oz ??
Tip for ya on the cross court dinking, avoid short hopping or taking the ball right of the bounce. It’s really harmful to your offense/disguise and consistency.
I feel like you don’t really know what you’re talking about 90% of the time lol. Like you’re hesitant on what you’re saying, because you don’t know what you’re saying lol
lol I’m a 5.0 player and pretty educated on the paddle scene. Are you sure YOU know what’s happening? Because I haven’t heard otherwise from this guy. I wouldn’t sub him if I felt he didn’t! 😂
@@zeruth467 Name an example because I have an FX R1 and he's spot-on with all the tech specs and the way he describes how it plays is similar to my own experience.

Is this a balanced weighted paddle or head heavy or handle heavy thank you

With the spin and so-called accuracy you were getting, how did you not place this in your bag.

Thanks for reviewing this paddle I’m likely to buy one coming from the r3 pulsar
How would you not take a rolling dink off the bounce? Literally every pro does this at the kitchen.
@@kabob21 there is a time to short hop when hit a very aggressive topspin drop. He was short hopping too often, it’s a defensive shot.

@@NOT_A_TOP_FAN yeah, he doesn’t even know the materials and methods of the paddles he “reviews” half the time.
