    Can't wait for more great reviews! Interested in the R2 FX.

    Great review! I have the original Pulsar R1, the Nova R1, and now the Pulsar FX R2. This weekend I played with all 3. I started with Pulsar, then the Nova, then finally the FX. I was playing okay with the first 2, very satisfied; but when I switched to the FX R2 my play went to a different level! I had much better spin, especially on my serves- some were un-returnable. The power was good but the Pop was insane. Good job Ronbus! Again, great review, what you said made perfect sense, the best of all of the reviews on this paddle. Can’t wait for your review of the R2!

    Great review! Can't wait for your R2 FX review comparing it to the Scorpeus and potentially the Mach 2 Forza (other standard or wide-body shapes)?

    Hard hitting questions:
    - Do you still prefer the Nova?
    - Of the two, which FX do you prefer R1 or R3?

    • @BryanLim
      @BryanLim 2 месяца назад

      I’m curious about these questions too. I love my R1 Nova so not sure if it’s worth looking into the FX R1 Pulsar or not based on this update.

      Was thinking the same. Looked like he was using the R3 in most of video.

      I think I do still prefer the Nova but that could be just because I am used to it.
      It's weird, I really don't know which shape I prefer. I go back and forth all the time, with these I preferred the R3 and with the Gen 3 Joolas I preferred the Hyperion.

    I’ve had a beta for 3wks or so now… your review reflects my experience. I just don’t understand how JohnKew thought these were stiffer than the OG Pulsars.

    • @thehiddenfamily
      @thehiddenfamily 2 месяца назад

      Considering Johnkew cut it open it makes sense. Adding more carbon fiber won’t make a paddle softer. It felt stiffer to me too and a lot more poppy than previous gen.

    Great video!! I just have two questions
    -Do you prefer the R1 or R3?
    -also if you had to chose would you pick the B&B Filth or the Ronbus Pulsar Fx series?

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball
      @RacketsandRunnersPickleball  19 дней назад

      Thank you! I really don’t know which shape I prefer, I’m always going back and forth but probably the R1 by a bit.
      Between the Filth and the Pulsar, I like the Pulsar’s adaptive playability a little more.

    Does the FX or gen 3 Joola have more dwell time and spin? I.e which paddle would you be more comfortable with trying to make the ball dip?

    currently got an R3, which I love but I am looking for an upgrade. I play a lot of singles, but also do a fair amount of doubles, I do not want to compromise in power, but I also think the current R3 I have is not the best for dinking. What do you think in terms of Pulsar FX R3, R1, or NOVA are worth getting? I was thinking going with pulsar FX R3, but would love to hear your thought

    • @thehiddenfamily
      @thehiddenfamily 2 месяца назад

      The pulsar r3 has the softest feel out of all the paddles you’re looking into. It’s probably the most controllable.

    • @backbonz

      The FxR3 definitely better dinker than the OG IMO

      I would go for the FX3. It's great for dinking - the best out of the Ronbus line I've tried thus far.

    What happen to the FX R2 review must people like it better than the FX1 or FX3

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball
      @RacketsandRunnersPickleball  2 месяца назад

      I'll definitely review it soon, but keep in mind it's a 16 inch paddle so you have to like that length to like the paddle. Personally, I'll always prefer something elongated.

    What was the weight of your R1? Did you find it stable enough to use without lead?

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball
      @RacketsandRunnersPickleball  8 дней назад

      Mine was 8.1 ounces and, yes, I used it without lead for must of the review since I preferred it that way.

      Pink X40

      @@RacketsandRunnersPickleball Do you also find it to play much firmer/faster than the optic green X40? To me, it's a much better playing ball than the optic version but finding a group willing to play with it is a challenge.

    Hi i am about to buy a new paddle , unfortunately i am in canada and options are limited , i know i need a wide body , low swing weight paddle which can do 2 hands , i am confused between this and volair mach 2 forza 14 and 16? , this is still not availiable at racket and runner , forza however is in both 14 and 16

      Think the word I'd use for the comparison is consistentency. Played with the r1nova for 9 months and loved it. The fx1 however has more consistent feel when hitting at any speed. The nova at times felt almost like 2 different (but good) paddles when changing speeds. The fx feels like a more 1 to 1 ratio in responsiveness when changing speeds whereas the nova soft game sometimes required extra effort to control. Plus fx has bit more speed and spin which allows for a bit more variety when rallying. Cant knock novas control and accuracy though, could hit some of the sharpest angled topspin shots with it. The added dwell they advertise I believe is best felt on resets when absorbing someone else's power and also when hitting medium paced balls for spin and placement. Best adjustment I made to fx1 was adding a bit of weight to bottom corners at 430 and 730. Lowered balance point and swing weight while bumping up twist weight. Became a much faster lighter and more maneuverable paddle while keeping spin power and pop. It was too head-heavy out of the box for me.

    How would you compare these to a Ruby?

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball
      @RacketsandRunnersPickleball  2 месяца назад

      They Ruby has a more "rich" feel to the way it pockets the ball, but the dwell time and spin is similar. These are also elongated so the swing pattern is quite different.
