i play with the engineer of that paddle. He routinely lobs with topspin and touches lines. Its insane the spin he puts on balls. Hes over fifty and a helluva player.
Power will be on the lower side. It's not a thermoformed paddle so it's not going to have great power it's definitely much more of a control oriented paddle these days since the addition of thermoforming was released. Dinking and control feel amazing with the R1.16. Check out the review I did most recently if you're looking for a paddle under $100 ☺️
I have the pulsar too I'm going to do a review of it. It's definitely firmer and the spin seems relative and it's thermoformed which is a lot of benefits. It seems like it doesn't spin quite as much as the r1.16 but it does pop off the face a bit harder for a bit more power.
Yeah I did my test with no added weight but I may do a video with added weight and see if it effects the spin rate. Could be interesting right? Xspac is on my list to try I've heard good things! I just don't know if this paddle can be beat especially for the price.
That's funny, I have a 2 set from Xspak (not the expensive carbon fibers, the cheap ones), I recently bought a used R3.16 for $45. The value I got is unbeatable!
I'm constantly testing them now! I have a bunch on the way and will report back. Some of the other top names I am testing aren't spinning as much as this one though. Kinda crazy to think.
R1.16 is going to be top in spin. In my analysis so far pulsar seems to have just a touch less spin (not by much at all) and has a little more pop off the face. If you like a softer face or just want the best paddle for $100 I'd suggest 1.16. If you want a little more power I'd go pulsar. I have the EV2 on the way also so I'll do an in-depth review on the pulsar and EV2 coming soon!

lol that’s pretty awesome to hear. Dong is a badass 😂
Good to know. How about power, and how does it feel when dinking / control? Thanks

I have one and it does spin very well. The Pulsar spins well too but feels firmer.

I bought the Ronbus R1.16 in part because of this review. I LOVE THIS PADDLE!!!
It’s an awesome paddle man. Timeless. I am so glad you love it!!
Does it have a good sweet spot for slams?
Yes but you should check out my more recent videos. Mainly the Mark Paddle review and the BALLR Heat. A lot has changed.
Did you just took the frames out for one revolution or did you count by rewatching the slow-mo again and again?
An average over a ton of revolutions and a ton of serves to make sure it a consistent result!
I have the r3.16. Spin crazy in that as well.
Yes!! Same tech just a different shape. I'm going to review that one aswell!
Same, super satisfying to use.
And more power
I have this paddle and the xspak and they play the same. I added weight to the Ronbus and it helped a lot

I second the motion. Just made an order, thanks for sharing the discount code!
@@JesseUnderscoreMartin heck yeah!!! Enjoy you're going to freaking love it!
Which has more spin? R1.16 or R3.16?
R1.16!
@@stspickleball which one would you recommend if I already have the R1 Pulsar?
Higher than EVA foam paddles?
Oh yeah 100% EVA foam paddles have insane power and pop but not the highest spin
Super informative!
Thanks Tracy I put a lot of love and energy into this ☺️
Definitely getting one of these paddles!
You should they are incredible! Especially for the price.
How does this compare to the B&B Filth?
My filth is on the way stay tuned!!
I have a legacy pro
nice!
So you have tried how many paddles?
I'm constantly testing them now! I have a bunch on the way and will report back. Some of the other top names I am testing aren't spinning as much as this one though. Kinda crazy to think.
Yeah I'm getting "comments" on my serve with the 1.16. 😅
It's insane man. It's so freaking good!!!
is getting the pulsar worth the extra $50 or would this do the job
@@jordinkleton I ordered the Pulsar too, but haven't received it yet. I'm thinking I can switch between them depending on how I feel.
