Ray Monette is an under rated guitar player. I knew this back in 1971,when I bought their double live album. People say they're a bubble gum band!! Far from it!! I'm glad I had the chance to see them back in 1974 ,at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium 🙌!!
@@sgnorris the first lead guitarist for earth was rod richards, this is the great RAY MONETTE,RIGHT HERE ON THE SCREEN,MAN IS INCREDIBLE,LIVE UP CLOSE HE BLOWS 99 PERCENT of guitarists to the curb, told him so,i made him understand, the world loves his sound, still got the pick from the concert, made my year
This was from Saturday, Aug. 14th, 1999 (not 2004). "Itchycoo Park 99" was an awesome 4 day, 40 band extravaganza, that took place in Manchester Tennessee. It was the predecessor to the Bonnaroo Festival. One of the best weekends of my life. 🔥🤘😎

Let's get this straight. Rare Earth made a career on doing great cover songs. So, when the band members change, it's no longer the same? That's too funny!
The band lineup has changed a lot in the years, Peter is no longer in the line up, last time i checked, weather he is in the band or not, its still called Rare Earth, deal with it !
Sorry, brother, you're good, but you're no Peter Rivera. And Rivera's Celebrate band has a TERRIFIC guitarist, Joe Braush. Far better than whoever this Ivan Greilich is. I do give props to the saxaphonist. Sadly, Rivera only rarely does Rivera use brass on his tours.
Ray Monette original motown studio guitarist has played on hundreds of Motown songs and on Meat Loaf's first album, as well as with the funkadelics. He's best known for playing with Rare Earth because he is their most prominent guitarist, , not on the first album but all the other albums and toured with them until around 2014

Un bon groupe merci pour ce bon disque bravo
Ray Monette absolutely kicks ass here.
One of the most underrated Drummers. He is using a VERY Small Kit. Anybody can sound good on a Very LARGE Kit like most Drummers use today!
Plus Vocals, unusual for a Drummer to sing Vocals. GROOVY!!!!
Damn guys you RIP HARD ! Bravo ! Encore !

Damn! Sinbad is good on drums and vocals!
One of my favorite bands of all time, but I can't listen while the drummer is singing.
That's because the drummer isn't Peter!
Elihu Wygant 100% true.
This is not Rare Earth
No Pete Rivera no Rare Earth, not the same
no Rivera no Rare Earth Peter's voice was very distinctive that's what makes the difference -for example no Jagger no stones
