It wasn't that insightful. He was wrong on some points, and mostly just repeating Zionist lines of argument.
For example, he skipped over how many early Zionists _did_ want to expel the Palestinians. Or how he claims Palestinian statehood was only advocated for from the 60s onwards - when in fact Palestinians were calling for Palestinian statehood from at least 1936 with the Great Arab Revolt against British Mandate rule (because of all the Jewish immigration which was squeezing out locals from jobs, housing, & arable land - and also high taxation). It's just they wanted to be part of the Greater Pan-Arab state that was being discussed at the time as well. He also didn't touch on how the British facilitated Jewish immigration to shore up Imperial presence in the region (the Suez is nearby), or how the Jews rebelled against British rule, expressly so they could expel the Palestinians.
Qoranos was a shrill idiot and argued poorly, but he was right on pretty much every point, and the others got a lot wrong.

The entire concept of having “valid historical claims” to territory is kinda crazy. We could go back indefinitely as long as there is written history documenting warfare and land conquest. It’s as true now as it always has been: your claim to a land is only as strong as your ability to defend it from those who would wish to take it.

You're correct, of course, that historical claims are impossible to quantity accurately and the most important thing is might. I think is was Menachem Begin who said "No one listened to us until we had guns" (paraphrased). However, historical claims do matter, in how the world views the righteousness of the claims, to how the people themselves push to make those claims a reality, and to bodies like the UN and to institutions who adjudicate matters of international law.
The Jews may have conquered Palestine with their numbers, guns and will to fight. But without some historical claim, they wouldn't have been motivated to emigrate to _that particular place with that level of commitment._

Egyptians really don’t want the Palestinians to move south into Egypt. If people think the Israeli’s are “racist” against the Palestinians, they should check out the Egyptian attitude. And the “Arab world” really don’t care about the Palestinians, they were just used by the arab powers to attack Israel.
Jews always maintained a presence in the land. There were many occupying colonialist forces who ruled over Israel, including every Arab society that ruled over Israel. The only people to ever be self governed in that land are the Jews.

They're just Arabs and before the 1920's there were no states in the Middle East,as most of the area was part of different empires. Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudia,UAE, Qatar and so on were all created after WW1 but Israel ( which is smaller than New Jersey) is the biggest problem. The whole Palestinian name comes from the ancient Philistines,who probably came to Israel from the Greek islands, so again no connection with the Arabs at all.

The most frustrating part is that he describes Israel as being entirely settled by European jews who were put there by the Europeans, when a majority of Israelis are actually from the middle east and settled in Israel after being expelled by basically every Middle Eastern country except for Iran. There is no world where you can justify sending these people back to where they came from.

Journalism is always biased just by virtue of wanting to cover specific stories, reporting whats happening is just either true or not. Fox's pundits and news coverage is biased against my views, but they report factually outside of their "entertainment" segments that they try to dress up as news. Destiny is not getting opinions from them, just information which reliable, unlike RT or Chinese news who actually just make stuff up.

Very accurate, however due to the nature of islamic fundamentalism and the modern interpretation of jihadism, they can never ever coexist. The Palestinians view the land as theirs, they hate the jews and want to destroy israel to reclaim “their” territory; considering that their only means to do this is through the weak hamas, they will never actually get their territory back and theyll endlessly kill israelis and the israelis will endlessly retaliate. The only outcome (or in an extreme case, solution) to this endless conflict is the eventual systematic eradication of one of the two groups - and in this case considering hamas is weaker, itll likely be them. Then this poses another interesting question; if the majority of palestinians support the actions done by hamas, it is hypothetically possible that israel could still view them as a threat even after the eradication of hamas and believe that palestinian civilians will eventually form new groups to enact violence and attempt to destroy israel once again, thus leading to the eventual genocide of palestinians which will be over course bad but seemingly inevitable if this is the case

My main issue with the Israel Palestine conflict is that it wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the complete mismanagement of the region by the British. It’s a decolonization experiment gone completely wrong. There’s no easy solution because the problem is not one that came about organically.

Looking at the section of the Aljazeera article, they show the difference in casualties, but not too surprising considering Hamas was confirmed to do shit like put military equipment in hospitals, marking them as viable targets. There was an article covered by Dev/SFO about it either earlier this year or sometime last year involving that information that I cant recall exactly. Just interesting to note.

I doubt the Palestinians thought when they lost half their land, Israel would then take 78% more of it, disperse 6 million from their homes and put them in a fenced off area of the country where they're now the second most densely populated area in the world. On top of that, if you aren't aware the very first attack, initiated and planned by the Zionists of the time, set fire to, planted mines, raped and killed women, children and babies. So we can't act like the state of Israel is morally superior to Hamas when they did exactly what just happened, and there are still living survivors of the attack known as Deir Yassin, which was far more brutal, immoral and substantial of an attack, and led to the war and tensions in the entire Middle East with Israel. Blows my mind how in this world of political discourse how often people can't wrap their mind around the concept of a hypothetical. It reminds me of how little kids think they are bad people just because uncomfortable thoughts may pass through their mind so they do whatever they can to not engage with the idea whatsoever, lest you be bad person.
It's not that they can't, it's that they don't want to. They know that the hypothetical makes their stance look stupid, so they'd rather not acknowledge it.
Well the problem with engaging with certain hypotheticals is that they don't always present something that is realistic. Asking if a person would be ok with a Palestine country where the Jews are treated as first class citizens and there are no continued grievances one way or the other is a fantasy at this point, which is why he treated it as such.
It's easy to throw out a utopian hypothetical but it doesn't actually help in any way shape or form and is actually detrimental because they will use it as a springboard to advocate for elimination of Israel in pursuit of that utopian ideal.
Hypotheticals are immensely useful tools when used correctly, when used incorrectly they can derail entire conversations.

To showcase that there is more to the mindset of the person it's presented than they are presenting to the group. The actualization of the hypothetical is irrelevant. @@anthony452 Yes of course, but just like any tool in the rhetorical toolbox, hypotheticals can be used, abused and misused to achieve illogical points of argumentation.
For instance, when talking about say WWII, hypotheticals were used to create appeasements.
"Well what if we could avoid war, by just GIVING Hitler some land that he wants? Wouldn't such a compromise be better than entering into a war?"
A person who agreed with this hypothetical would be seen as someone who is magnanimous and willing to seek alternative solutions to might makes right, whereas a person who disagrees would be seen as a warmonger for being inflexible. After all, if giving Hitler some land was enough to completely assuage his desires it WOULD be a preferable outcome to war.
However the reality is that the hypothetical did not actualize in reality because Hitler ended up taking the appeasements AND started a war. This is what I mean when I say that hypotheticals can be abused in debate.
When someone gives you a hypotehtical of "wouldn't it be great if we all had infinite wealth and rainbows and unicorns" it's not a useful hypothetical. You're not teasing out any nuanced or useful information because it is not in the slightest bit germane to reality. A good hypothetical MUST be either completely abstract, or well grounded in reality. Anything else is just a waste of time at best, and propaganda at worst.
