Biden can upstage them all by resigning so making Kamala president. She is the VP put there for this purpose. Biden has been suddenly deemed unfit to continue (despite his great achievements) and so decides to pass the baton to Kamala. The ticket can continue and Biden goes down as the strong man who made the bold move for the ticket, party, and country.

I disagree that the Democrats would win on the issues. On immigration, education, foreign policy, the economy, and law enforcement, voters have been saying they prefer the Republicans to the Democrats. The Democrats have Republicans beat on abortion and health care. Not to minimize those two issues, but in a straight up policy battle, I do believe the Republicans have the advantage.
Thus, it isn't too surprising that the Democratic strategy has mostly focused on Trump's personal flaws.
He's a joke and his legacy will be that of a stubborn old man who put his ego before the country.
If he stands aside in the next few days he can restore his reputation.

His administration is still effective even if he isn't as cogent, he can still make sensible decisions, that's the argument. I haven't seen a single policy from the Trump administration that eclipses any Biden one. There's a lot of lies from Trump about how he did, and what he did but nothing of any merit at all that I can see. Ultimately, this comes down to a case of do the Democrats think people have faith in someone other than Biden to the extent where they will vote for them? You can't make policy based on God by the way... it's just an unproven story.

I have disagreed with the Democrat agenda on virtually every point other than abortion rights for decades now. Most of the people I talk to disagree with them as well. Lichtman's 13 Keys to the White House currently are leaning towards Biden's win. Joe Biden is familiar with the 13 Keys to the White House. It is therefore unlikely that he will step down from running in November.
