  • Hello! We're back! In my last video you saw me detangle Sydney's very thick 4c natural (roots) and relaxed hair. Today you will see our shampoo, and deep condition using a fabric steamer which will help open up her hair follicles and the pores on her scalp. Which will allow the product attach to her hair and also help with elasticity. Dry damage hair needs to be steamed At least two times a week. Steaming more will cause the hair to become fragile and break. I used my rev air for a fast cool blow dry and of course I trimmed (cut) her hair.

4 years ago I did medium sized plaits/box braids in my daughter's hair. I wash her hair in the plaits and undo and redo them one at a time. It reduced the pain for her. I gradually trimmed the relaxer off until it was all gone and her hair is now at her buttocks. My other daughter is 18 months into the process now. I don't know if you and Sydney would like having plaits/braids medium to long term.

If you do decide to relax Sydney's hair again just remember to "only put the relaxer on the "new growth"!.
Despite the hard hair lesson she just had, Sydney's hair is so long.
I've seen lots of ladies using fabric steamers and facial steamers on their hair, so you're doing great mom, save those coins because hair steamers are expensive!
You and your daughter are so beautiful.
You and Sydney both have skin that is blessed.

The temperature of most (not all) fabric steamers is higher than most hair steamers coming out of the nozzle. Steaming your own hair with a fabric steamers be careful.

Just a suggestion: heat training. It's safer than chemicals. Either way beautiful job

I think you can mix the olaplex with the relaxer.

you should try doing a roller set and then put her under the dryer... I think it would get her roots better and they won't revert as fast ;)

I was wondering why that child's hair looked damaged. And then heard the word 'relaxer' 😔
