It's beautiful. I don't want my hair to be straight, I just want the curls to be less tangled. Texlaxing without combing does exactly that. Just the use of your fingers detangling while u run the relaxer through your hair is enough to soften your hair without straightening it.
Texturizing is the absolute worst..don't get me wrong..it looks soooooo beautiful when product is applied.....however...if there is no product...or if you wash your hair....the hair will feel so brittle and dry that you will regret the day you ever did it. This pic I have up has my hair texlaxed....I couldn't comb out my hair or the curls would break..so I had to use my fingers...and for me to get the desired result I had to use way too much product...way too much...one thing I remember is that it grew my hair really really fast...did it like 3 months apart...I would have super growth...however the dry Barkiness of the hair was an absolute no no...I cut my hair one after I creamed it because it started getting stringy as well...now I'm one year natural..and guess what I discovered...if I use a specific product my hair looks just like it has been texlaxed😢 waste of my time...then the sticky icky on the skin...ruuunnn don't do it
Seven months and counting, I'm kind of regretting my decision because I'm experiencing what you just shared. I began my loc journey around three months ago and I'm glad I'm starting a new journey.
Britt.barbie_ just wanted to add that chemically , there is no difference . The same ingredients in relaxers are used in products labeled texture softener. If you use a relaxer and leave it on for less time you’ll get the same results .

When using box relaxers, you need to chelating shampoo to combat the dryness
Hello , kindly share which products to use to make my hair feel texlaxed becoz im 5 years natural and about to texlax my hair next week. Pls assist.
What’s the product and what’s your hair type?
What is the difference between texlaxing and relaxing?
Thanks a lot Britt.barbie_ for sharing this definition
I wanted a different look and beep beep beep, I got it. 😂😂 It's like blowing your hair as we used to say in naija

Left it in too long. You supposed to put it on, then literally wash it out after about a minute. Its been 12 yrs ans it's like I've never relaxed it.
Which brand do you use? Relaxer or texturizer?
Love your eyes
You’re just gorgeous 😍😍
Thank you!!
