@@whitleyshannon4613 I waited 3 months after bleaching/toning with a semi permanent dark color to do mine and I had no breakage but my hair is pretty strong period so go off of how you know your hair is, you know your hair best but as a general rule the longer you wait the better. Also I did a OlaPlex treatment 3 times over 3 months before using texturizer.
Someone at the hair store told me to leave it in 20 minutes! I just started searching so many different sources on opinions about how long. glad I found your video.
Oh no 20 minutes is way too long. Definitely don’t listen to who ever stated that. The would be over processed or even worse you could experience breakage
My hair was 4c texturizers absolutely change your curl pattern even when you don’t have curly hair . My hair never curled up while wet or any otherwise I naturally have African 4c hair.
I have a question for anyone who can answer… why is it that my hair is SOOO much stronger and healthier with a texturizer? They say it weakens the hair but I ONLY experience breakage when I’m natural tbh. Unless I just don’t know how to care for my natural texture but it literally doesn’t make sense. Those chemicals give me length and strength!
Same , same! I feel like it’s because the hair is more manageable. Also it’s easier to detangle due to the looser texture and to properly apply products to every strand.
My ends were horrible when natural and those single strand knots. I found myself constantly trimming my ends. And my natural hair is crazy crazy thick. Wash day was literally an all day affair…
The reason for that is because the more curly your hair is, the more tangles, fairy knots and split ends you incur FROM the FAIRY KNOTS. Looser curls (or straight hair) are less prone to breakage because of fewer knots/tangles. Hence why the hair SEEMS/Appear to grow faster, as well as having little to no shrinkage. This is why a lot of Natural Women with super long hair either wear it stretched (blown out), or in plaits/Braids. That way it can't get tangled or waayyyyy less prone to breakage due to no knots.
I just did mine today using just for me, so far I love it. I Still have my curls, but my hair is softer and way more easy to manage. I’m definitely back motivated to take care of my hair, and I’m going to try to grow it long

Nothing is wrong with that if you’re just applying it on your new growth in my opinion. That’s what I’m going to do. If I’m not able to texturize my new growth often to keep all of my hair looking the same, then there’s no point in ever getting one.
@@diamonddancer7508 many people’s hair only grows 0.5 inches in a month, some more, some less. So in 2-3 months that’s 1.5 inches at most. So waiting longer when your new growth is longer makes it easier

Hey! So my hair was braided up prior to this video so it’s mostly wavy. Only to new growth
I texturized my hair using this chemical and my hair is breaking and so dry😢
I hate to hear it didn’t work out for you. Was your hair in a healthy state before applying? Did you condition and deep condition afterwards?
Thank s, like! The knowledge.
Ty for the qna
great info!!!!!!
Thanks! 😊
can you or should yu dye your hair after the treatment? not immediately but like 2 weeks?
Yes! It would be best to wait a few weeks, even stretching it further to a month or so to keep from damaging the hair!
ThankYouuuuu 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Can you dye ur hair after texturising it in a few months??
Yes, as long as you wait a few weeks that’s fine!
Can you braids your hair after texturing in the hair
Hi yes after everything has been washed out you absolutely can!
Heyyy baby boy 😍🥰
Can I texturize my hair every two to three months
I wouldn’t recommend applying that often to maintain the health of your hair.
People think they’ll only do that much, and then end up getting the stuff on the already processed hair, it gets messy and it can be hard to feel your new growth. So waiting longer when your new growth is longer makes it easier
Can you texturize your hair twice and it will still look curly?
Yes BUT only in a specified timeframe so you don’t overprocess your hair!
@@LifewithQuanda oh ok because my momma texturized my little sister hair again because the last time she got it texturized was like 7 months ago and I just wanted to know if it was safe thank you💖
Oh yes 7 months is a great amount of time in between!! Everything is good💕
@@LifewithQuanda OK💖 and btw u are beautiful #blackgirlmagic ✊🏿💖🖤
Thank you gorgeous!😘✨🤎🙌🏽
Thank you.
can you dye your hair with one?
Yes but you have to wait a certain time period! A few weeks at least I think
I wait at least 3 weeks. I use a rinse one day after I texturizer. My hair isn’t damaged.
If my natural hair looks like your hair in the video. What to expect if i use that texturizer? My goal is to have like a 4a hair. Will this be the right product to achieve that?
Hey! So my hair was braided up prior to this video so it’s mostly wavy. If your hair is similar to this and has lose waves , me personally, I wouldn’t just because it may actually end up leaving it straight or semi straight and I definitely wouldn’t want that. I’d say if your hair is tightly curled it wouldn’t be bad
@@LifewithQuanda thank you so much dear ❤️❤️
what texturizer do you use
Just for me kids!
Of you use this you are still natural just letting yall know
😂really how 😮
@@amenaobaid9434your hair may be more damaged but still natural
its your natural hair so even if you texturize its still natural idc 😂
Girl math😝
That can burn your forehead
my hair is bleached and blows dyed a lot and i just bought the texturizer should i wait a bit
If you recently bleached it yes I’d wait a while!
@@LifewithQuanda okay so I used a box dye in my hair a good 3-4 months ago would it be safe to use on it now?
If you feel like your hair is in a healthy state and not damaged, it should be fine. If the hair was bleached I’d wait a while longer. Hope this helps 😊
