    Literally the healthiest texturized I’ve ever seen! I myself am newly texturized (3 weeks now) and my hair is sooo much more manageable and is STILL SOFT! Wash days are way easier - only thing I’m missing now is all that length! Honestly if not for you, I wouldn’t have had the courage to do it - ❤

      I used the kid version texturizer on mine and my daughters hair yesterday. It was enough for me to slather all over mine and the last little bit I applied on hers later that day. I didn’t even part it any special way just made sure to apply to edges last. I applied mine within 5 min leaving it in for approx 2 minutes. Same thing with my little girl and washed it right out. Our hair came out perfect. Still curly, but mot tangled and hard to comb anymore. We have coarse 4c hair 😩

    I have a question for anyone who can answer… why is it that my hair is SOOO much stronger and healthier with a texturizer? They say it weakens the hair but I ONLY experience breakage when I’m natural tbh. Unless I just don’t know how to care for my natural texture but it literally doesn’t make sense. Those chemicals give me length and strength!

    • @LifewithQuanda
      @LifewithQuanda  Год назад +25

      Same , same! I feel like it’s because the hair is more manageable. Also it’s easier to detangle due to the looser texture and to properly apply products to every strand.

    • @Rezyyyyyy
      @Rezyyyyyy Год назад +23

      My ends were horrible when natural and those single strand knots. I found myself constantly trimming my ends. And my natural hair is crazy crazy thick. Wash day was literally an all day affair…

    • @Yahlana
      @Yahlana Год назад +19

      The reason for that is because the more curly your hair is, the more tangles, fairy knots and split ends you incur FROM the FAIRY KNOTS.
      Looser curls (or straight hair) are less prone to breakage because of fewer knots/tangles. Hence why the hair SEEMS/Appear to grow faster, as well as having little to no shrinkage.
      This is why a lot of Natural Women with super long hair either wear it stretched (blown out), or in plaits/Braids. That way it can't get tangled or waayyyyy less prone to breakage due to no knots.

    Short answers to questions 1 & 2: This is NOT a Jerry Curl OR "Perm." It's a relaxer with oil added to it.
    What I'm trying to figure out for myself is just how exactly I want to do mine. The back of my head, mid head down and the perimeter is probably 4a. I shaved my head in 2020 and didn't know that about my hair. My crown however.............is like a coarse 4b not as tight as 4C. So I'm mentally trying to figure out how I can work the crown first and do the back and perimeter absolutely last. The struggle is REAL 😂

    Wanna do mine but I don’t know if I should wash it and wait two days since I straightened it a week ago and it’s still dirty. Is it best to texturize your hair while it’s in its curly state? Or do you think i’m good to place it on top of the straightened hair(hasn’t been washed in a week). I have a combination between 3c and 4b
    Edit: I noticed at the 8:05 mark you said you don’t apply it to your hair in a curly state so I’m gonna try it. Fingers crossed

      Unless you’re hair is easy to detangle , I personally wouldn’t apply it in the curly state as I feel you wouldn’t be able to work it through properly. You definitely want to apply to clean hair so if you do wash it , wait a couple of days and make sure it’s detangler. Hope that helps! 😊

      Nothing is wrong with that if you’re just applying it on your new growth in my opinion. That’s what I’m going to do. If I’m not able to texturize my new growth often to keep all of my hair looking the same, then there’s no point in ever getting one.

    • @urgunnaluvmeh
      @urgunnaluvmeh 2 года назад +5

      @@diamonddancer7508 many people’s hair only grows 0.5 inches in a month, some more, some less. So in 2-3 months that’s 1.5 inches at most. People think they’ll only do that much, and then end up getting the stuff on the already processed hair, it gets messy and it can be hard to feel your new growth. So waiting longer when your new growth is longer makes it easier

      Hey! So my hair was braided up prior to this video so it’s mostly wavy. If your hair is similar to this and has lose waves , me personally, I wouldn’t just because it may actually end up leaving it straight or semi straight and I definitely wouldn’t want that.
