Hey y’all 😊👋🏽 Just in case anyone is curious to how my hair was before texturizing while wet, I added a link in my description to a prior video that shows it. In this video my hair was blow dried (stretched) prior to adding the texturizing. Hope this helps!💕
I know this video is super old but I’m praying for a response anyway 😩 so I noticed you only put it on your roots like a touch up, were the ends of your hair texturized prior to this video?
Candi Lea you’re completely missing the whole point. We all know being natural takes a lot more work, especially depending on the texture. It’s not about liking it, it’s about maintaining your hair and doing what works for you and your lifestyle. I love my natural hair, but it’s just frustrating and hard to deal with. I don’t want to go back to perms so I use a texturizer to make it more manageable whether it’s in its natural state or straightened
You’re not supposed to put your hair in a ponytail right after a relaxer or texturized because it’s gonna straighten ur hair. I know it’s too late but for anyone considering doing it just keep that in mind😊
You dont have to explain to people why you are texturizing your hair, its your hair do what you want with YOUR HAIR!!!! I just came to see the results ❤️
I understand her completely in this video. I'm really struggling with my hair cuz yea, it's pretty but it's soooo thick and long that it's so much work
Your hair came out so gorgeous and natural looking. This is the first time I seen someone hair come out like this using this product. I’ve seen stringy loose curl, damn near straight with it. I’m going to try this...thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 💕 & yes I’ve seen some like that as well. I leave it on enough for my curls to loosen and that’s it! I couldn’t imagine dealing with stringy, over processed hair
Love your hair. I've been thinking about doing this. I founded out that a lot of naturals who have a youtube channel and be having hair like how yours came out be texturized but be acting like their hair is actually that curly. And we naturals be buying whatever it is that they use to try to get the same results. Yours is beautiful though.
I didn’t even know texturizing was a thing & would always just relax my hair. Seeing videos like this, makes me wanna try this out. Right now my hair is pretty short, so I might do it
I’m considering a texlax because I seriously HATE my shrinkage at this point and I wish my hair would just remain as stretched as it is when it’s wet 😭

You did a great job and your hair looks amazing! Thank you for making this video. I'm so over this "natural" hair game. To be honest, my hair was healthier and longer when I had a relaxer. I have my hair in braids now but come May 2020 I'm doing this exact same thing and I will be happy not buying all these extra products.
Thank you! & yes I’ve heard so many people say their har flourished more before going natural. I totally agree! And yes comment how it goes when you do!!
Your hair turned out beautifully. Mines not so much. I diluted the softener with conditioner and left it on my hair for 5 minutes. It's been 20 days and my hair is back to its kinky coily texture. I might go back to being natural
Texture softeners are already diluted. Mixing a chemical with conditioner is not going to save anyone’s hair from damage. Next time, just follow the directions on the box and do a protein treatment afterward to restore the bonds.
Wow, thank you so much, I’m sitting here with a box of the same exact children’s hair relaxer wondering if I should do it. And your hair sounds just like mine! You can’t imagine how thankful I am!
Girl I’m so over my hair I love it but it seems like the harder I try the worse it gets and it is so not manageable anymore I need help at this point a texturizer is looking mighty fine 😭 your hair came out so goooddd
Thank you for sharing your video. I’m actually considering texturizing my natural hair. I’ve been natural for 4 years and I can’t seem to get the tangling and breakage under control. At this point I can’t do much with it so it’s either texturizing or cutting it all off again. Definitely want to give the texturizing a go and if it doesn’t work then I’ll just chop it off. I’m ready for a change.
Your hair came out great, I’m currently relaxed and over processed but this is the look I always wanted, looks like I’ll be transitioning to texturized lol great video

Hey New Subbie.❤️❤️Yesterday I texturized my hair, natural hair is not for everyone. I got tired of changing products in order find one that's almost good for my hair. And also my natural hair is short and thick, I couldn't do anything
These are the best results I've seen so far, gorgeous! About how long did you leave it in total? I want to do mines this week but I'm a little scared lol

I bought everything and I’m ready to do it, but I needed this video gave me the extra confidence I needed. Thanks for sharing cause I’m in the same boat with my roots and have no idea what my curl pattern is either.

I watched one video saying not to do that before it won’t texture your hair in a curly state. My thought was blown out hair is not permanent and the texturizer will break the thr curl at the molecuee level. So it really doesn’t matter. Then your video came up on my feed. I like how your results came out. I too have way too much shrinkage, wash n goes and twist, and twist outs comes out horrible. This will give me more versatility. And to be honest, no one has to justify why they’re going back to relaxers or texturizer. This is your hair not theirs.

thank you for this video, i was planning on just cutting my hair short. I have very long hair, but I am so sick of this natural hair. I have 3c hair, but its a headache. I understand to have a little looser curls. I am definitely doing this. I love your hair. I do not have time detangling my hair for over an hour.
Thank you!😊Just make sure you know the risk associated due to it still being a chemical. I have weirdos come at me saying Im leading people to think everyone will achieve the same results! Nonetheless I hope it turns out great!!! Let me know :)💕
You are the first woman EVER that I've seen with almost my exact hair type (the beginningof the video, your hair looks like mine after it air dries) 😍 I am going to try everything you suggested in this video lol your hair looked so bomb at the end 🥰
Mine too! I can’t lie and I live in the GA heat so I look crazy right now. Currently watching this video to figure out how to do this cause it’s happening TODAY
I already have super thick curly hair type 3 and I really wanna put this in my hair because I’m tired of using a whole jar of hair lotion or hair creme. And i I have to hold my hair upside down and step into the shower like that while I use my shampoo and conditioner 😭. My arms and back are in pain but the problem is my mom says you already have good hair and you don’t need one 🤠 .
I created a new hair category of 5 for myself. I have multiple strands of hair per follicle, they twist tightly on each other which prevents me from being able to ever comb through it. When dry or several days after flat ironing, my hair swells to 3 times the size. Needless to say, I am over it. So I may be doing this soon. Like you said, i don’t have time for that so I usually leave my hair in twists. Your hair looks great!!
Thank you! & yes I totally understand. We definitely have more than 1 patterns in our heads which makes it harder, but yes give it a try and let me know how it goes!
Nothing wrong with creating a new category because many of us are in our own category anyway..our DNA.which is why everyone's hair doesn't 'behave' the same. Andre created categories that everyone seems to subscribe to. (not me) So u can too 😁
I have the same problem you had. My roots are so hard to comb. it's not soft at all...I have very tight curls. It always feels like the brush or the comb pulls it out when I finally get to the roots. Been thinking for a while if I should texturize my hair. I think I might. I use the new Dove products for our hair type. It's the best one for me, but I still have a hard time combing through it. It leaves my hair moisturized more than those other products.
I’ve used the just for me(the one for kids) because it’s milder! And I go months without a retouch, usually around 4-5. You don’t have to do it as often as a relaxer
so you only texturized the top of your hair? I'm going back and forth about texturizing but everyone keeps telling me I have such a manageable texture (3c/4a) but I honestly miss my texlaxed hair (had it unintentionally texlaxed all through h.s and college) and my hair was so long, and shiny and since I've been natural (probably around 7 years now) it is dry, breaks off, and just ends up in a puff 6/7 days a week. I'm just worried that with an already looser texture my hair will end up straight and I definitely do not want that!
If your hair is manageable I would say keep it the way it is. I only texturize my roots or sometimes I go a little furthering down due to my roots being extremely thick and unmanageable. If your curls are looser than mine you might not need one!
Your hair turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL 🤗 So, in your video you showed that your roots and edges are covered with texterizer on it, then it switched to you AFTER rinsing it out, BUT did you add texterizer to your remaining (all the way to the ends) hair? It doesn't show you doing it on camera, so I'm just wondering. 😏
Dayum it can out good!! I use to texturize mine when I first went natural but it’s been YEEEEEEARS since I’ve done it I kinda want to do the back half of my head because now that it’s longer it tangles I get those damn fairy knots 😫 my front half is much looser and more manageable ... anyway your hair came out cute!! 👍🏾😃
Take it from me. Wheeew Tlaxers have been the thing for me when the natural just wouldn’t do right. It grows thick before it grows long and the shrinkage in this Texas weather is crazy. Do you love, your hair looks fabulous. I agree why go natural if you can’t enjoy it.
@@LifewithQuanda thanks for the info! One last question, after you had it all in did you comb through it at all?? Or did you just let it sit on your hair then wash it out without combing through??
I agree that natural hair is not for everyone. I don’t know what to do with my natural hair if it’s not braided, I don’t know how to style my natural hair, so I shave it off at least once every year or two years, because I can’t deal with it unless it’s texturized
Thank you! & usually when peoples hair come back out stringy, at least when I see it, they’re leaving it on too long and treating it as a relaxer. I also never put it on my ends only my roots and maybe mid way down but never my ends. The goal for a texturizer should be to loosen and soften the curl
It came out so 🔥🔥🔥 how long was your hair in this video I have a curly fro (4A) right now and growing it out and I want it to fall a little past my shoulders like yours.
So would I apply it all over my hair or just my roots and egdes? My hair is just too thick. My shrinkage is disrespectful and i literally end up wearing it in a bun 99% of the time
There’s no certain time frame that I do touch ups, mostly just whenever I see fit. Sometimes 5-6 months and sometimes longer than that. I kept it on around 5-7 minutes, including application time
How long do you leave it in before you wash it out?. I recent went natural and chopped all my relaxed ends off and I wanna try this method but I’m scared it’s just gonna straighten my hair again
About 5-7 mins WITHOUT combing through. I can’t promise anything but mine has never gone completely straight unles your natural hair is already straight
Yes I had done so in the past. It had just been a couple of years! I honestly don’t put it on my ends regardless. Even when I first started I would only go down so far because usually my ends are looser already
I tend to have dry hair so this definitely made it worse. You definitely have to keep up with deep conditioning and moisturizing your hair. That’s the only thing for me!
Thank you so much for this video beautiful I am contemplating texturizing my hair to reduce breakage too your came out PERFECT. You have perfectly shaped lips btw lol

thank you for this video, i was planning on just cutting my hair short.
Let me know :)💕
It came out really well. I’m seriously thinking if texturizing my hair
Thank you! & definitely give it a try just be careful! Let me know how it goes if you decide to! 😊
You are the first woman EVER that I've seen with almost my exact hair type (the beginningof the video, your hair looks like mine after it air dries) 😍 I am going to try everything you suggested in this video lol your hair looked so bomb at the end 🥰
Thank you! Glad we’re hair twins lol! Let me know how it goes!💗
Mine too! I can’t lie and I live in the GA heat so I look crazy right now. Currently watching this video to figure out how to do this cause it’s happening TODAY
I was thinking the same thing. I think my texture is a 4a with parts of 3c
(not me) So u can too 😁
Wow everything you explained is exactly how I feel. Thank you for sharing. I’m either considering a texturizer or going the locs route.
This result was lovely 😍 thanks for sharing sis 💞
Thank you!! 💕
Your hair looks great. I say, if it works for you then go for it. You don't owe anyone anything.
Tired of my hair, lemme get the Texturizer
Application starts at 7:43
What’s the upkeep like? Do you constantly have to put product in to keep your hair moisturised? Does it ever feel really dry? Thanks
I think I might ask my mom to buy one... IT LOOKS BOMB OMG😍✨
WOW! your hair looks AMAZING! my eyes widened in amazement lol. Definitely will try it.
Thank you!! Let me know how it goes!😊
Life with Quanda will do!!!! do you just use any texturizer from sally's? and how many weeks do you go without doing a texturizer?
I’ve used the just for me(the one for kids) because it’s milder! And I go months without a retouch, usually around 4-5. You don’t have to do it as often as a relaxer
Life with Quanda Ok 👌🏽 that sounds great!!! I'm definitely going to try it out 😘😘😘 thanks for responding ❤️🤩
so you only texturized the top of your hair?
I was considering just texturizing the roots and edges to make it more manageable.
I’m the opposite I would do my ends to control the shrinkage lol
Your hair looks like a 3b texture, it’s so pretty.😍 💕
Thank you !❤️😊& yes we’ll go with that lol
Your hair turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL 🤗 So, in your video you showed that your roots and edges are covered with texterizer on it, then it switched to you AFTER rinsing it out, BUT did you add texterizer to your remaining (all the way to the ends) hair? It doesn't show you doing it on camera, so I'm just wondering. 😏
Did you apply the tex to your ends too? Or jus roots????
You've sold me. I'm going out tonight. My hair is just so thick and curly. I love it, but it doesn't fit my lifestyle, and like you said, that's okay.
how long did you leave it for last time i did a texturizier i followed directions and my hair came out like a relaxer
Thank you! 💕& yes to everything you said! You definitely hit the nail on the head!
Wowzers! Your hair looks great!
Looks great! I may have missed the answer to my question in the video, but how long did you keep it on your hair for??
Thank you! I left it on for about 5 to 7 minutes or when I noticed my the curls loosening up
@@LifewithQuanda thanks for the info! One last question, after you had it all in did you comb through it at all?? Or did you just let it sit on your hair then wash it out without combing through??
No problem girlie! And I always use my hands, Since I’m not trying to get it straight like a perm. lol i hope that makes sense
@@LifewithQuanda yes that makes complete sense lol thank you!
Your hair turned out soooo pretty 😍
Thank you girl!🥰😘
U sure did a fab job! Ur hair looks so pretty w & or w out!
Thank you!💕
I agree that natural hair is not for everyone. I don’t know what to do with my natural hair if it’s not braided, I don’t know how to style my natural hair, so I shave it off at least once every year or two years, because I can’t deal with it unless it’s texturized
I totally understand! I used to say at least once a week, I wanted to cut my hair off. But yes I couldn’t imagine doing it without a texturizer!
Very good video! How do you know how much of your hair should be texlaxed so that it doesn’t look stringy?
Thank you! & usually when peoples hair come back out stringy, at least when I see it, they’re leaving it on too long and treating it as a relaxer. I also never put it on my ends only my roots and maybe mid way down but never my ends. The goal for a texturizer should be to loosen and soften the curl
You’re Beautiful the way you are... I will tell you the same thing I usually tell my daughter Love your Natural hair .. it’s fun and magical 🌳
Not fun at all.
Same what I'm going through right now, and people don't understand
It came out so 🔥🔥🔥 how long was your hair in this video I have a curly fro (4A) right now and growing it out and I want it to fall a little past my shoulders like yours.
Thanks so much!💕✨ & it was a little past my shoulders at this time!
La misma crema quiero apmicarle ami hija de siez años para que le baje el volumen y lo pueda lucir suelto ella lo giene largo y abundsnte
We have the same exact hair happy I found this video
your hair is gorgeous!
So would I apply it all over my hair or just my roots and egdes? My hair is just too thick. My shrinkage is disrespectful and i literally end up wearing it in a bun 99% of the time
the very first time you did a texturized did you put it on all parts of the hair instead of just the roots?
Did you comb the texturizer into your hair or just applied it all over and left it
i've only ever done relaxer and it ruined my hair. is this considered a perm and does it burn? it came out great and you look great.
Yes, it is a relaxer. *Same chemical.* Marketing determines what the box is labeled, 'relaxer' or 'tezturizer'.
Beautiful 😍
You still get natural hair back when stretched right?
Thank you😘 & yes I have a video where I washed my hair and did a silk press! No major changes at all
How long did you leave the texturized in? Your hair looks so nice, you can’t even tell u used chemicals. 😍😍
Thank you!😘 and about 5-7 min, not long at all
It’s beautiful!❤
before applying, what was your hair texture to be exact? 4b?
4a
How often are texturizing it ? Like every month for the new growth?
Oh no it’s still a chemical so every month would be horrible. I don’t have a set time frame but usually between 5-7 months
That is really cute. I didnt hear how long you left it in. Cute tho!
Was your hair dirty or clean before you applied this?
I had previously washed it so it was clean at the time
That looks amazing!
Thank you!💕
Hey hun how long do you leave the texturizer on your hair for ? Xx
Truth! Love this video!
I wanna do this so bad but I have so many questions that google doesn’t answer😭
If I can answer I absolutely will!
Now natural for 10 years. Texturizing in the next 2 days. Im broke. My arms are tired. It aint worth it anymore.
How often do you do touch ups? and how long did you leave the relaxer in for?
There’s no certain time frame that I do touch ups, mostly just whenever I see fit. Sometimes 5-6 months and sometimes longer than that. I kept it on around 5-7 minutes, including application time
What is the music playing at 7 minutes and 50 seconds. Sounds soothing.
I don't know how to cornrows or braid my own hair, I"m thinking about it myself
So you only use this on the root of your hair?? Did you texlax your hair prior?
Yes I had done so in the past. It had just been a couple of years! I honestly don’t put it on my ends regardless. Even when I first started I would only go down so far because usually my ends are looser already
How did the texturizer affect your hair in the long run ?
I tend to have dry hair so this definitely made it worse. You definitely have to keep up with deep conditioning and moisturizing your hair. That’s the only thing for me!
I’m so late but I’m wondering what relaxer you used? I’m sorry if you mentioned it and I missed it, loved the video btw! 💗
Thank you!💕 & np , i uses the just for me texturizer
Thank you so much for this video beautiful I am contemplating texturizing my hair to reduce breakage too your came out PERFECT. You have perfectly shaped lips btw lol
😘🥰🥰glad I could help & thank you 😊
Did you apply it in the ends ?
