Mayhem was probably the only one that was truly evil, after the lead singer commit suicide one of the band members took pictures and used them as an album cover, and also made necklaces with his skull fragments. The dude was genuinely insane, and constantly threatened the other band members, until one of the band members was just so disgusted that he killed him
Sadly, they are not the only band on this list that had members involved in homicides, arsons, torture, and other despicable acts. Both Emporer and Dissection had band members linked to murders. Most of the Norwegian bands on this list participated in arson. The vocalists for both Shining and Mayhem have advocated for their fans to self-harm. Gorgoroth's vocalist has done multiple prison stints for torture, and Marduk decided to douse its fans in blood during a concert. The only real changes I would make to this list is remove 9 and 10 to include Burzum and Lost Prophets: both near the top of this list for drastically different reasons.

Okay. Belphegor are an extreme blackened death metal band from Austria. They are named after the demon otherwise known as “sloth”, as well as one of the seven princes of Hell. Their music has been described as diabolic. The band’s frontman Helmuth Lehner was spat on by a Christian orthodox activist at an airport in Russia in April of 2016. So their music has stirred controversy between those offended by their lifestyle. Behemoth are a Polish extreme black and death metal band from Gdańsk, Poland. They were a band that were banned from playing in Poznań, as well as Russia in 2014. The frontman Adam Michaeł Darski, stage name Nergal, has frequently been on trial in Poland for tearing up the Bible in 2007. Stalaggh is a Dutch black metal and experimental noise group formed in 2000. The name derives from German concentration camps known as Stalag. The additional “g” and “h” are an abbreviation of “Global Holocaust”. Despite being a band from the Netherlands and Belgium, the collective have made themselves anonymous and claim they intend to keep it that way. The darkest fact about their music is that one of Stalaggh’s members worked at a mental institution, where the group recorded real screams of patients. The reason they do this is to capture the sounds of hatred and painful emotions which essentially recreate the situations of Stalag concentration camps. During one of the recording sessions, it was said that a patient almost murdered one of the members of the band. Yeah... why these guys aren’t higher up is beyond me. Emperor are a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1991. Vegard Sverre Tveitan, the vocalist known better by Ihsahn, possibly admitted to being an arsonist in an interview, promoting the burning of the Skjold Church, a church said to be around for a century. But their controversy most likely stems from their previous drummer Bård Guldvik Eithun, or “Faust”, who was a convicted murderer. Shining are a Swedish black metal band formed in 1996 by frontman Niklas Kvarforth in Halmstad, Sweden. I think this quote greatly sums up their music. “Of course we support suicide, Shining support all that is negative in this bastard world of ours. We have had a couple of cases in the past with people whom have ended their lives under the influence or partially under the influence of our work and of course this is a true blessing indeed, yet we pray for increased numbers of fatalities.” - Niklas Kvarforth Marduk are a Swedish black metal band from Norrköping, formed in 1990. Frontman Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson set out to create “the most satanic and blasphemous band in the world”. Further works of Marduk relate to that of the Holocaust. They sampled a march on their album titled “Nightwing” which related to the fascist and anti-semitic Iron Guard, a political party from Romania. The band were forced to leave a tour due to delays in visas. In February of 2017, the venue canceled their Oakland show for fears of security issues after a local fascist group threatened the band and venue staff. The band’s vocalist and percussionist, Mortuus and Fredrik Widigs, respectively, were accused of purchasing items from the Nordic Renaissance Movement, a Pan-Nordic neo-Nazi party. However, Mortuus and Widigs denied this. Dissection were a Swedish extreme black and death metal band from Strömstad, formed in 1989 by frontman Jon Nödtveidt and bassist Peter Palmdahl. Nödtveidt was a member of the Misanthropic Luciferian Order, a satanic occult order from Sweden formed in 1995. The band separated in 1997 due to a crime connected to Nödtveidt. The Keillers Park Murder was an unsolved case of a man, now identified as Josef Ben Meddour, who was shot twice with a pistol. A woman entered a police station in Stockholm claiming to know the culprits behind the case, saying that her boyfriend Vlad confessed to murdering Meddour along with his friend and fellow MLO cult member, Jon Nödtveidt. The two were promptly arrested with Nödtveidt receiving a sentence of ten years. Nödtveidt was however released in 2004, when he restarted the project of Dissection before disbanding in May of 2006. That same year, Nödtveidt would take his own life in his apartment surrounded by a circle of lit candles and beside him a copy of the Liber Azerate, a satanic book written by Frater Nemidal, leader of the MLO. Watain are a Swedish black metal band from Uppsala, formed in 1998. The band are infamous for their Theistic Satanist views, as well as quite recently infamously known for their concerts in which the band used pyrotechnics and candles as well as the limbs and bones of animal carcasses. Watain went so far as to douse their audience in the blood of said animals in a show at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar in 2014. It was reported that this stunt caused many in the audience to vomit. This garnered attention on TMZ, where the band was noted with extreme controversy. Gorgoroth are a Norwegian black metal band based in Bergen, formed in 1992, by guitarist Roger Tiegs, stage name Inferus. Gorgoroth drew controversy from their concerts which included featuring impaled sheep heads and mock crucifixions. Infernus is open about his theistic satanism and considers himself as “Satan’s minister on Earth”. He has also said he started the band Gorgoroth for the purpose of expressing his beliefs in satanism. Former vocalist Kristian Eivind Espedal, or Gaahl, responded to a question in an interview asking what the inspiration for Gorgoroth’s music was. Gaahl simply said “Satan”. When asked what he believed Satan represented, Gaahl replied “Freedom”. Infernus and Gaahl both were openly supportive in the church burnings perpetrated by members of the black metal scene, with Gaahl stating that there should have been more and that there will be more. Gorgoroth also strongly evade sharing the lyrics to their music, though the reason behind this is unclear. It only adds to the strangeness. Mayhem are a Norwegian black metal band formed in Olso in 1984. They were one of the founders of the Norwegian black metal scene and their music has shaped the black metal genre as a whole in what its know as today. The backstory and controversy behind this band is probably the most notoriously well known compared to the rest on this list. Per Yngve Ohlin, better known by his stage name “Dead”, was the vocalist for the band from 1988 to 1991. This would be the year he would kill himself in the house he had lived in with fellow band members Euronymous and Hellhammer. Eronymous found Dead with his wrists and throat slit, as well as a gunshot would to his head. He left a suicide note behind stating that he claimed he wasn’t human, saying he was actually dead and that he was in a dream. He left the lyrics to the song “Life Eternal” behind and said that he came up with the idea of not being humanly alive seventeen years ago. Euronymous, believing Dead’s death to be a promotional stunt, returned with a camera to photograph the aftermath and used one of the photos as the album cover for the band’s bootleg live album “Dawn Of The Black Hearts”. In 1993 Euronymous would be fatally stabbed by fellow band member and founder of the band Burzum, Varg Vikernes due to an altercation at the latter’s home.
We all know one band so evil they can’t be shown on any list, so evil that even mentioning their names will make satan himself quiver in fear, so evil that no one dares to mention their name. The Wiggles
These are satanic bands. Stay away from them. They mock God and believe me you don't wanna mock God. God will win this battle. God has already win the war guess what Satan loses.
I love how different they all sound from eachother. how one guy is like double bass pedalling the shit out of his kit and then the next song is like, nothing like it. also love the lyrics and vocal melodies. very touching stuff.

Looking at this video again And seeing Mayhem at #1 I think “Yeah of course”. But after having seen numerous interviews with a more adult Jorn “Necrobutcher” Stubberud I became to know them as just a bunch of misguided youth in a misguided scene (the music is awesome, but I’m talking about the group of young people at the time). Just a volatile mix of peer pressure, isolation, alienation, poverty, addiction, neglect. Frontman convicted for assault and torture Mayhem: church burnings, guitarist used their lead singer's suicide for the band's 'hardcore' image (included using pieces of his skull to create necklaces, using a picture of his corpse for an album cover and saying that the vocalist commited suicide because death metal was getting popular), bassist killed guitarist.

Fun fact, the track (Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy) you here in 8mm (i think you mean the ending scene) is done by an artist who makes electronic music (i have to admit, an unusual style of it) and not Black/Death Metal. As far as i remember there is no other track of this type in his repertoire.

@@kerdak It's far easier to fathom a serial killer listening to Mozart than metal. In fact, I think classical music is the most fitting genre for serial killers.
Some of these need some backstory as to why they are "evil", so let me fill you guys in: 10: Nothing 9: They uhm look evil? 8: The band went to a mental institution and recorded mental patients and victims of abuse and made an entire album of them screaming 7: Their former drummer, Faust, was convicted of stabbing a man to death 6: The frontman is known for assaulting audience members 5: They look and sound evil I guess 4: The frontman was involved in a killing 3: Blasphemy and all that good stuff 2: Band were arrested for blasphemy in Poland, and the frontman tortured a guy for several hours in "self-defence" and threatened to drink his blood 1: Former bassist set 3 churches on fire (possibly more) and stabbed his bandmate to death and served 15 years in prison
Addendum/bonus fact for nr 2: Gaahl, the frontman, disputes the blood drinking part of the story. During the ordeal, the guy Gaahl was torturing began bleeding alot, so Ghaal handed him a dice cup to collect it in. The victim said it was so Gaahl could drink it. However, Gaahl claims it wasn’t for drinking, but so that the victim wouldn’t make a mess by bleeding all over Gaahl’s house. This was supported Ghaal’s mother, who, in court, argued he wouldn’t do such a thing because he is a vegetarian and is very fussy about food... Personally, I can believe Gaahl’s version of the story. Arguing that a guy that is known for his satanic stage performance wouldn’t do satanic sacrifice stuff while torturing someone because he has a very picky diet tho...

Some of these need some backstory as to why they are "evil", so let me fill you guys in:
10: Nothing
9: They uhm look evil?
8: The band went to a mental institution and recorded mental patients and victims of abuse and made an entire album of them screaming
7: Their former drummer, Faust, was convicted of stabbing a man to death
6: The frontman is known for assaulting audience members
5: They look and sound evil I guess
4: The frontman was involved in a killing
3: Blasphemy and all that good stuff
2: Band were arrested for blasphemy in Poland, and the frontman tortured a guy for several hours in "self-defence" and threatened to drink his blood
1: Former bassist set 3 churches on fire (possibly more) and stabbed his bandmate to death and served 15 years in prison
Study more
Addendum/bonus fact for nr 2: Gaahl, the frontman, disputes the blood drinking part of the story. Thaaat’s a special kind of logic XD (ref: tinyurl.com/yyweyyh7 )

Maybe they are saying subscribe to pewdiepie?
I think its telling people to bake cookies for their neighbors
Lmaooooo
Black metal bands always use satanic lyrics, though I get you were joking
Do they look positive
My IT teacher, who is a drummer in a deathcore band called Accidental Death Benefit, performed with Marduk in Irkutsk. So damn proud
That's wild. I just searched for this group. So damn underrated. such a pity even i have more subs than they do
Old true mayhem was really evil,.,
every mayhem album is true mayhem.
@@peccamecha no it's not
@@nekromantik6417 just because there was a murders and suicide and arson and controversy doesn't mean they weren't still teenagers in a garage metal band. The absolute best thing about Mayhem is that they are constantly improving the quality of their craft while staying true to their roots. They push themselves to be better musicians every album. nobody wants to listen to the same shit for 20 years. The best bands from the original Norwegian black metal scene are the ones that didn't get caught in the old formula.
@@peccamecha The "new" mayhem is shit
RIP DEAD
I only think evil is the actions of a monster not an image there using to sell music but Mayham is 100% evil not all but Varg and Eurynomos are evil i dont know about the other bands
When you know who is number one before watching...
Yaguara mayhem deserves is without a question
With the other bands, I'm not sure whether evil or self-promoting as evil, but I have no doubt about number one
I was just waiting for it. I mean who else would they choose?
still like them though.
