Hey thanks for your videos I really enjoy them especially *Katatonia* that's one of my favorite bands!!! As far as the bands in this video the only one I can enjoy is *Behemoth* *{::>_
Not heard any of them, but not into black metal much, just some death metal, and mostly melodic death metal and gothic metal, very different vibes. Oh, and there's a subset of blackmetal that are fascists and nazis, so might be good to do some background checks if you should do any more videos on it :P I can recommend two black metal videos that could be fun: "The Black Satans - The Satan Of Hell" is a parody black metal video, and "BELZEBUBS - Cathedrals Of Mourning", which is a video by a ficticious black metal band from a finnish comic : )
Huge Deicide and Behemoth fan here. Both bands actually have some melody to their music. And Behemoth make gorgeous videos that look like cinematic masterpieces. It's not all noise, and it's very artistic, Lauren. Have a great week! And do more videos like this please.
Mocha knew you needed some emotional support after watching these, lol. I find it interesting to see all the different subcultures within metal and had a similar experience going to see an opening band recently where the headliner had a very different vibe and fan base. Looking forward to seeing which of these you actually checked out.
The guy cutting himself from the first video was Maniac, who was actually kicked out of Mayhem in 2004 for being too insane. He picked up the habit of doing that on stage to honor a previous vocalist, Dead, who famously committed suicide and then had his dead body used for the cover art of "Dawn of the Black Hearts," a live album they put out a few years later.
Trey from Morbid Angel did this for years. He cut his arms open in many shows. He might be some borderliner. I also saw a video in wich the singer of Skinny Puppy was cutting the corners of his mouth with a dagger. But the most dangerous band is and remains Hanatarash, an industrial noise group from Japan. They once gave a concert where the guests had to sign beforehand that they wouldn't sue the band for any damage to their health. And then they started demolishing the hall with an excavator while there were still people inside. Sometimes they also threw panes of glass into the audience. Funny guys.
Watain and Dissection are two bands I love. Katatonia is my favorite. Some music isn't for everyone, just depends on what mood I am in. Bands like Dissection and Watain are nice for me, because they help me simply enjoy my time listening without being reminded of my stress. Bands like Katatonia help me embrace my emotions, which is very healthy.
Vital Remains is worth checking out, especially songs Dechristianize, Rush of Deliverance, Entwined by Vengeance and Icons of Evil. Some earlier ones too of course, why not. Dave Suzukis leads are magnificent
I've heard a lot of the bands shown. They didn't mention Samael or Old Man's Child. No one will mention the most evil one, so I'm going to... Wind of the Black Mountain. They are underground Black Metal. I don't advise you to check them out. If you're going to listen to any if these bands I would recommend, 1. Praying first. And 2. Check out Emperor and Samael. Newer Samael is now more Industrial Metal than satanic. Their album Exodus is a good example. Good Luck and I'll see you on the other side. Hopefully you'll come out unscathed. Love your show, Lady L. 🎵🤘😎🤘
As I got into heavier and darker music over the years, certainly there was a curiosity of, or fascination with, some of this stuff. I have already seen all of these videos, Lauren, and it was interesting to see them, again, but much more interesting to see yours (and Mocha’s) reaction to it! I like being creeped out by sinister things, but I don’t own or follow or even listen to any of this music with anything more than a passing morbid curiosity. There is still some question as to the authenticity of these so-called satanic bands, but I’m sure there’s some validity to it in their minds. I tend to think it’s mostly an image they’re exploiting for fame and money. And, money makes for a more practical deity for them to truly worship. I somehow can’t help but imagine some of them lounging around in their mansions, sans hair weaves & stage make-up, in their matching pajamas & slippers with kittens chasing butterflies emblazoned on them, supping on the finest champagne & caviar while pouring over their stock portfolios with their brokers, laughing all the way to the bank! There is actually some amazing talent in much of it, especially with the drummers, but as a whole it just doesn’t turn my crank(.) To be honest, Lauren, I see this as performance art that is far more comical than scary. The scary part, to me, would come from any misguided fanaticism.
Stalaggh is supposed to be actual sounds of a criminal insane asylum that were captured on tape by the artist when he worked there but I'm not sure i buy that. I figure an criminal insane asylum would have security procedures for employees. But you never know a lot of places like that have staff who could care less so he may have been able to smuggle out the tapes.
I would suggest 3 songs for Halloween. All 3 have Halloween in the title. King Diamond - Halloween, Helloween - Halloween and Wasted - Halloween (the Night of...). Not as heavy as this by still very great songs
To be perfectly honest, Shinning is definitely one of the most extremist bands on this list the singer used to self harm on stage and kick people in the front row of the audience. He was even banned from performing in Sweden because of the content of his lyrics. Watian are more ritualistic live and they have courted controversy by covering themselves in animal blood. Finally mayhem perhaps the most controversial bands in the world have been associated with murder and church Burning .black metal is definitely not for everybody, and if you are triggered by it you’re not the target audience.
I don't think you can be banned from performing in Sweden. You can get sentenced afterwards but never in advance. And GG Allin used to self harm and fight with his audience + take a dump on the stage and smear himself with it and throw it at the audience. His birth name was Jesus, by the way. 😄
You probably already know this but the Stalaagh is actually a recording of the screams of Mentally Disturbed Patients or more accurately Mentally Disturbed Inmates at an institution.
And that’s why I stay away from black metal and some death metal bands… on the first list I knew Mayhem would be number one because I’ve heard so many disturbing stories, like in one of their album covers they have a picture of the band’s singer taken minutes after his suicide. Very intense.
That's a bootleg CD (not official). The guitarist and 'leader' Euronymous found Pelle, later that day or longer, after he shot himself so he took pictures of him, he also collected some pieces from his skull and gave away to people.
Look into the background of Burzum and Mayhem for IRL worse choices (murder, arson). The singer of Dissection also had something going on (murder, went to prison, made an album after serving his time and then committed suicide). Members of Emperor and Hades Almighty wre imprisoned for arson on churches. And that is what I recall by heart. Musically, Behemoth is imho the best occult band out there. Lyrics are on point and have depth. Dissection has great songs and lyrics. I like Marduk as well.
Another reactor took requests for a livestream, and someone requested a Swans song. I said it sounded like a serial killer’s quiet dialogue as he stalked his next victim. It might have been “To Be Kind”. The livestream fans were not into it.
Is dimmu borgir not a thing any more? Or did they change their sound? I havent listened to them since college, but they were way better than this stuff. "Progenies of the great apocalypse " had an amazing halloween worthy sound too. Dig that one out!
Yeah, not scared at all with these lists. Baffled but not scared lol. Yeah, there is music for everyone. We are all unique, with our own individual tastes.
Sunn o))) was really hard to watch because they play this heavy loud droning guitars and bass non-stop for an hour or whatever, it's physically intense and you just want to get the fuck out. Not scary (non of these bands are, although gorgoroth stand out with their hostile aggressive sound and vibe), but it did feel like you where deep underground with the earth roaring and trembling.
I used to be obsessed with Deicide back in the 90's when I was a teenager pissed off at the world. Now that I'm older I still appreciate the music but the lyrics are comical to me now.
i would add satÿricon to that last list. i’m not a satanist(ignore my channel name 😬) but i like the music.im not religious but i like some christian metal music🤷🏻♂️ just because you listen to it doesn’t mean you practice it.i find it all interesting. p.s. don’t look up the history of MAYHEM you won’t like it 😳😉🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
u should listen to type o negative's cover of black sabbath from the satanic perspective by black sabbath cos ud probably enjoy it not u know hate music lol
Wow mayhem gorgoroth watain marduk and shining in 3 vids i wonder if anyone at loudwire even listens to black metal theres so much more than the big bands 💀
In my opinion (and in most satanist’s opinion) satanism isn’t evil, they don’t believe in a devil, they just support free will, individuality, and not being ashamed of who you are as a person, they aren’t against religion as a whole, they’re just against the bigotry of it, they even hold charities for domestic abuse survivors
Happy Monday, people! Are you into any of these bands?
After watching this video, I think I need to go pray now. 😂
Hey thanks for your videos I really enjoy them especially *Katatonia* that's one of my favorite bands!!! As far as the bands in this video the only one I can enjoy is *Behemoth* *{::>_
I am into Swans, Sunn O))), and Behemoth.
Oh I totally forgot, I also love The Dillinger escape plan!

It was a bootleg.
I started to forget how lame these Loudwire lists are. Damn! Like you go through the 3rd list in a raw and you see all the same bands there...
Watain and Dissection are two bands I love. Katatonia is my favorite. Some music isn't for everyone, just depends on what mood I am in. Ofermod - Ondskapt - Funeral Mist
Sargeist - Horna - Behexen
All great bands too.
Portal should of been in those clips
Vital Remains is worth checking out, especially songs Dechristianize, Rush of Deliverance, Entwined by Vengeance and Icons of Evil. Some earlier ones too of course, why not. Dave Suzukis leads are magnificent
Any guesses on what band I chose? Some of you already know, so 🤫.
You'll see that video on Halloween. 😎
Edit: Some of you have guessed correctly.
I recommend Watain. Love your channel!

Happy Halloween season! My wedding anniversary is on Halloween so it’s my favorite time of the year ❤️

It's a Loudwire list... how scary can it be? ;)
😂😂😂
Swans is one of those love 'em or hate 'em deals... I have loved Swans for years...
I would suggest 3 songs for Halloween. All 3 have Halloween in the title. King Diamond - Halloween, Helloween - Halloween and Wasted - Halloween (the Night of...). Not as heavy as this by still very great songs
Reacting to slipknot for so long, nothing scares you 😂

*Varg was here* 🤣
Varg is the BEST!

They kicked out Vortex, Mustis and Barker... that's when shit hit the fan and they went completely in the wrong direction :p
Yeah, not scared at all with these lists. Baffled but not scared lol.
Yeah, there is music for everyone. We are all unique, with our own individual tastes.

Giving myself some credit because when it got to the second most evil band I paused and tried to guess. Mayhem was one of two I had guessed!
Dissection is amazing
I'm a black metal fanatic, and I have to say it was cute how distressed you looked through the whole video. Funny...
Portal not in any of these BS lists, ha, loudwire have no idea
Dillinger escape plan was not expecting at all
I used to be obsessed with Deicide back in the 90's when I was a teenager pissed off at the world. Now that I'm older I still appreciate the music but the lyrics are comical to me now.
The scary part would be if I bought tickets to see any of these guys!
Ok, let's try it again with Last days of humanity, Mortician, Fluids, Gut, Inhume..
Stalaggh is a noise band known for supposedly having people from a mental hospital scream in their songs
If you have heads on a stick, you might be Vlad the Impaler.
How come no one ever does react content to GG Allin?
The poo poo king.
Have you ever seen his live performances?
@@gman0047 Yes!
@@dreadtrain2846 dude was a complete nut, I think the reason why no one has reacted to gg Allin’s stuff is because RUclips doesn’t like it.
I wonder if these bands do birthday parties😂
i would add satÿricon to that last list.
i’m not a satanist(ignore my channel name 😬) but i like the music.im not religious but i like some christian metal music🤷🏻♂️ just because you listen to it doesn’t mean you practice it.i find it all interesting.
p.s. don’t look up the history of MAYHEM you won’t like it 😳😉🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
GG ALLIN!!
Damn I miss Dissection, but Jon went out when he wanted etc.
Ive seen that woman's expression when they find out about her new boyfriend hobby or passion.....
What was Dillinger doing on there😂
They're awesome, but nothing scary or evil.
None of these bands are even satanists. Its just show
Fr
You are correct sir
Well, maybe Watain
Infernus of Gorgoroth is a Theistic Satanist iirc. He founded the band and has penned most of their lyrics
Behemoth is and they are very open about it
u should listen to type o negative's cover of black sabbath from the satanic perspective by black sabbath cos ud probably enjoy it not u know hate music lol
The dillinge escape plan is hardcore /mathcore e metalcore
I've seen most of these live. :)

Loudwire is so lame. No band is really scary because you know it's all a performance.
This is NOTHING!! The demons in Hell torture damned souls to the tunes of....(shudder) Kenny....G. That is HORROR.
Me.
Dillinger Escape Plan aren't metal. Are they even "Satanic?"
