Gojira are a perfect example of why metal doesn't need to be extremely complicated (guitar at least) to sound amazing. Gojira literally build their songs from dynamic rhythm.
@@FartSniffer1 I kinda agree and don't. I think a lot of Gojira's most popular songs are that popular because the guitars are so good. Stranded, Flying Whales, Oroborus, etc. have super catchy riffs. Not only that but Joe's voice and vocal lines have become way better since the more recent albums.
Gojira became my favorite band the moment I heard their abundant use of pinch harmonics. The drums are amazing, but Gojira is the whole package for me.
