I wish you'd have gotten in depth with the review. You really know how to make your videos fun and energetic but I wanted to see you talking about the tablet's performance and features more, and whether or not it's worth buying for its price, pros & cons etc.
MikeTran yes, he could improve critique wise but you know that there are more in depth reviews and should have expected it from someone who doesn't review on a daily basis
If you click on the link in the description it takes you the the website for the tablet and it says some of the optional accessories are a small blue tooth keyboard and a stand. ;-;
Believe me, its not as great and wont make you happy. I have one of them on by table currently. Its like 20 years too early for wacom to release these..
This is so beautiful. Not only your art but the technology behind this. It honestly makes me want to cry a bit. I can't wait to get one of these. Going to work my butt off for it
because low price wouldn't be worth enough for such a piece of technology? Personally I do not mind this price, if I can't afford it at this moment it doesn't mean I won't ever buy it. :)
It's my first time to watch a vid by you. You're amazing and I like that happy/positive vibe. Btw, that unwrapping opera sound on 1:02 FREAKED THE HELL OUTTA ME.
Thank you for recording this video! This helped me a lot on what art tablet I should buy and the tablet that you are using seems and looks to be the best pick! I can't wait!
Hey Ross! I love your drawing style so much 💕😍 I was wondering if you could do a basic/beginner series for drawing! That would be absolutely amazing. 💜😱
If u buy this u are probably rich or have a good job and some artist dont get lots of money but this one does his prints are 15-40 dollars and he has ads on his video wich means he has google adsence im pretty sure he has a lot of money and that is not a suprise he looks like a person whos really dedicated to art also thank you for being such an inspiring artist some people say art is not a real job but from what i have seen you prove them wrong super wrong thank you ross keep doing what your doing :D
@@super117knight 2-in-1's are perfectly fine for drawing casually and professional work. Same with non screen tablets. It's not the tool, but the artist.
CharPen it's absolutely not Way-com. Ill never understand how that makes sense in the English language? For what reason would there be a Hard A sound there...for absolutely no reason. I personally say "Walk-um" as that makes the most sense, to me anyway, but I could maybe see "Wack-um" as well.
Weeeee I can’t believe that you posted this video review about the tablet I’d like to buy! I was looking for some reviews because it was my birthday and for gift I’d like to buy myself a Mobile studio pro! I LOVE YOU LMAOOO❤️ thank you so much! And woah you are amazing I love your art so much
my wacom intuos pen and touch medium that i bought a few years back is shutting down on me. ive been doing art on it for about maybe 3-4 years and i expected it to last longer but sure as ever, if you use it every day, its gonna go early. it freaks out sometimes when i use it and when the pen is nowhere around the little blue light starts flashing and doing strange stuff to my computer. im about to get my first job but as someone who will be working underage i wont get that much pay. ive been searching around for a tablet with its own independent tablet computer thing, like a companion, and the second i saw you open that box i knew this is what i wanted to spend the next 10+ years of my art career on. thanks for the awesome review! keep up the good videos my man. wish me luck so i dont spend all my money on stupid nick knacks and actually save up for me a tablet like this!
As someone who also looked for a mobile device for making artworks, the 12-inch Ipad Pro is not only a tiny bit cheaper ($1700 AUS for me, including the pen), but is less heavy, more transportable, and is easily customisable. I bought myself a case with a lid that also doubles as a stand (not the official one) and have found it to be perfect. The downsides are 1) the apple pen's way of charging is irritating and 2) there is no photoshop app, but procreate ($10) is a fantastic substitute and even lets you record your drawing 3) there is no holder for the apple pen, but the case I chose has a holder for it.
i loved my ipad pro, but it only has 4gb of ram vs 16 on the wacom, ipad also lacks color calibration ability, and procreate is very far from photoshop. its a poor solution for most professional artists. i though it was a great companion device for simple sketching or simple paintings, but but i couldnt do all my work on it. i had to sell mine to get a mobile studio pro. the wacom pen is also way better than the apple pencil. but the wacom is not perfect either. its rather buggy right now. hopefully the drivers get better.
I would actually agree with you there. I only use my Ipad for sketching, and if I want to colour I take it into photoshop. Hopefully soon we'll get a solution that mixes a bit of both of them.
I would actually agree with you there. I only use my Ipad for sketching, and if I want to colour I take it into photoshop. Hopefully soon we'll get a solution that mixes a bit of both of them.
I'd say this beats an iPad pretty easily. It's not made for sketching, this is a fullblown work-station done mobile. The hardware is really impressive for its size. I'd imagine both photographers and artists alike will use this if they aren't a stationary worker, travels a lot, etc. If you're just looking to sketch you're obviously not gonna buy a piece of equipment like this, at that point a pen and paper would do you better.
I've had mine for a year and while it's really great for my 3D art, there are a few things about it that really pissed me off. #1 there's no stand. It hurts my neck looking down at it. #2 sometimes I can't use the pen in chrome or other apps when I need to write a sentence and look something up. To fix it Wacom ended up having me reboot the whole system.. it mostly worked, but there are still hickups sometimes. #3 the second time I had to entirely reboot the system because my 3D scanner wasn't working. IT TOOK THEM TWO WEEKS TO FIGURE IT OUT!! 😑 Annoying.. frustrating... Aside from those things it's pretty fun to use. Once Wacom fixed the things that weren't working. oO
I'm an art student and got the wacom mobile pro for my one year study in the US, since it would be easier to bring that than transport my gaming computer that needs screens and all that stuff. and I'm very satisfied with how well it works
ah same with my intuos comic ;-; but honestly, i draw faster on smaller devices AND looking directly at my screen other than my intuos that requires a PC. but i still love my christmas gift ♥
Everyone is bitching over $2000, in my country this fucking tablet costs almost 30k, which would cost like $9,569. IF IT WAS ONLY $2000, I WOULD TOTALLY BUY IT. ( I use an Wacom Pro Large, that fucking tablet cost me $500, YEAH, I COULD HAVE BOUGHT A CINTIQ IN USA)
Pepe Sasako XD yeah just because im truly into art, doesn't mean i want to give up so much money seeing how it can go to something a bit more important. lol thats why im still drawing with my small sketch books, (free from my dad's job. their small turner broadcast sketchbooks) my intuos comic, (two years ago for christmas that my dad bought me) AND my nintendo 2DS. (birthday gift from my sister she gave me two years go) so no go for me.
Puriki pop Yeah... i've been drawing for 3 years with my Intuos, i just through it was a good thing to change to an coolest tablet but nah, Intuos is ok. If I make art as an job, maybe i'll think about it.
Pepe Sasako i've been drawing for the 3 years as well. super true though. just stick with what you have. my problem is that fact that i feel like i need to have MORE art stuff because sometimes, its just for the upgrade that has more tools. like, i really want art academy for 3DS, then i want more small sketch books, and a boogie board drawing pad thing just for when i leave places, wacom bamboo slate, it just keeps going. (story time) but then another amazing chibi artist told me (inoli) in a live stream that sometimes, its just best to just stick with what you already have than buying more art stuff and to find out that it was just waste a money because you'll be far to overwhelmed with art supplies. and it'll be hard to choose where you want to create your art plus, is it REALLY worth buying for its functions and price. she said to just continue using the items you already have until one day, it just stops working, or it feels like its going to stop working, etc. but she said you choose to buy whatever fits you.
okay you know what, these things are amazing, but to purchase this for school is just way too expensive, at 2,5 Thousand its even more expensive than a year at my school.. even though I know it would help me use these display things, its just too expensive T.T
CiscoLitco Agreed. they perform just as good I heard. Plus I need something to switch to after I either sell my old cintiq 21ux, or just use it until it craps out. :P
Whoa, whoa, whoa! What happened to color dodge time?!?! I picked up an MSP last month as well. I was sold on the 16" but when I actually tried carrying it around, it just seemed to have for a truly portable solution. Went with the 13" and love it. Haven't had any trouble running photoshop or zbrush. It's handling them like a champ.
I love your videos Ross, my favorite part of the videos is the COLOR DODGE :) You should draw more disney princesses, like Tiana, Belle, Alice, Ariel, or Pocahontas
Ross, thank you very much for your videos. I would like to see a video where many lights interact. I get lost when they say the light that bounces or the light from the sky or the light of x thing that emits light.
...Is that a soldier 76 statue I see on your desk? Because it is BOMB. DIGGITY. WHERE DID YOU GET IT. Also, have fun using the Wacom Mobile studio!!! :D
I am a big fan of rossdraws. and I inspired to your painting so I start a channel but I did drawings in my phone plus finger plus messenger app. and I am going to be like ross someday
Make sure that you're optimizing the Mobile studio pro. Take a look on youtube on how to optimize windows to be the fastest it can be. The Mobile studio out of box is pretty slow, but after adjusting everything you can get back to your normal desktop speed. When I first started using mine I was really bummed out about how laggy it was but after looking up how to fix it I can comfortably paint at my usual speed. The only problem is that after you optimize it, the tablet can get warm and the fan will continually hum. It's not the worst thing in the world but it is noticeable.
Thanks so much for putting this video together, Ross! We're glad you're digging your Wacom MobileStudio Pro!
Wacom can i get one please lol but dam this is what im looking for what is the actual price?
Go get a 4k (or even better 5K) Version of the Cintiq 27 inch out soon! I highly am looking forward to it. :)
I heard the battery life on this device sucks, for $2,500 is not worth 4hrs outside of battery life, no thanks, I'll pass!
Childprodigy28 yeah i just heard about it now very disappointing
Wacom, I'm getting one of your amazing tablets for my bday!
NihongoGamer made an in depth review about this if you're curious
MikeTran He's an artist..I believe he uses lot of art vocabulary which is good word choices.
It's probably because he got it for free/paid review. Wacom made like 50k off this video.
a proffesional tablet for professional usage. doesnt come with a stand.
Honorablewolf, for that luxurious price I was also hoping for a keyboard.
HonorableWolf It's probably too heavy for a kick stand
If you click on the link in the description it takes you the the website for the tablet and it says some of the optional accessories are a small blue tooth keyboard and a stand. ;-;
What's the point of a portable tablet if you put it on a stand that's bulky that you can't move it?
You need to buy another pro stand
over $2000?! I won't be buying this anytime soon
same
Alex Martin I spent about 3,000 on it.
Tppical price. I'd get the 24inch cintiq or what ever upgrade version they come out with.
Just think about me.In country im living , i have to pay almost x4 to buy it!
ah ha! same. im just gonna keep on drawing on my intuos comic tablet and on my small sketch books until some day i get rich lol.
when u want one of these but ur poor
Believe me, its not as great and wont make you happy. I have one of them on by table currently. Its like 20 years too early for wacom to release these..
Succon Im considering financing this tablet and putting it on my taxes as a business expense. That's something to consider
too poor ):
Jut dont. Its bad.
I'm the one😖
This is so beautiful. Not only your art but the technology behind this. It honestly makes me want to cry a bit. I can't wait to get one of these. Going to work my butt off for it
welp, gonna stick on my intuos pen&touch for now
SAME XD
same. i have the comic version.
your skill is what really matters as long as your pc is not a potato
XD
Me wacom bamboo.
You're honestly my biggest aspiration, visiting your channel brings delight into my heart and life!
Damn, this is a cool thing. But I'm too poor for this kind of luxury xDD
Linunae your not alone
Linunae same here why can't they price it low for us poor people damit
because low price wouldn't be worth enough for such a piece of technology? Personally I do not mind this price, if I can't afford it at this moment it doesn't mean I won't ever buy it. :)
Linunae id buy it with no problems if i have the money this is what I've been looking for
Linu Same here
It's my first time to watch a vid by you. You're amazing and I like that happy/positive vibe. Btw, that unwrapping opera sound on 1:02 FREAKED THE HELL OUTTA ME.
Its should have come with towels man.
Lol🤣
I remember trying this out at Society of Illustrators before it launched! Love how this video demonstrates "it's not the tool, but skill"!
Over $2K dollars?!? OUCH, MAN! Just in the poorness! XC
The Power Player best comment ever lol
I feel you though :(
not even my car worth that much q,q....
Thank you for recording this video! This helped me a lot on what art tablet I should buy and
the tablet that you are using seems and looks to be the best pick! I can't wait!
"didn't want to overwhelm myself with a complicated drawing" *draws fucking mona lisa masterpiece*
I always appreciate an actually good artist reviewing the product. Those are very rare here on youtube.
Hey Ross! I love your drawing style so much 💕😍 I was wondering if you could do a basic/beginner series for drawing! That would be absolutely amazing. 💜😱
ahhh my tablet is getting old but as a broke high school student, it's either this or a car..
yep, true.
Alena Morciglio so true
Choose this. Cars are overrated asf anyway.
get a iPad Pro, Intuos or a used Cintiq.
i have an ipad pro, and prefer a wacom
If u buy this u are probably rich or have a good job and some artist dont get lots of money but this one does his prints are 15-40 dollars and he has ads on his video wich means he has google adsence im pretty sure he has a lot of money and that is not a suprise he looks like a person whos really dedicated to art also thank you for being such an inspiring artist some people say art is not a real job but from what i have seen you prove them wrong super wrong thank you ross keep doing what your doing :D
Arts Lover who said people beside professional artists don't draw :)
Arts Lover or he was sponsored to do a video on the tablet by the company itself
Ever heard of punctiation marks
I think it's adorable his dog is falling asleep listening to him :)
for $2,000 it should come with a stand or a case that had a prop. might as well get a high end 2-in-1 for that price.
whih will never draw as good as this, this is for professionals, get over i
@@super117knight 2-in-1's are perfectly fine for drawing casually and professional work. Same with non screen tablets. It's not the tool, but the artist.
The office in the back round slick dude
Let's do a mini poll guys. What is the correct way to say "wacom"??
Way-com or wack-om
Comment your answer!!

CharPen You gotta wack 'em
Neither. I think it's Wah-com.
wah-com schmah-com, way to expensive. wait for it, soon it will be much more affordable.
"He was sleeping" I dunno why, but had me dying. I had to replay that part 😂 you were so surprised

Wow. I didn't' know it actually was like a laptop. That's so cool!
No Ross it only looks inappropriate if you have a dirty mind lol
yeeeah lol.
i bought this tablet and let me tell you guys - it's fantastic!!!! i have 13 inches model i7 and 250gb which is pretty enough for my bed doodles
okay you know what, these things are amazing, but to purchase this for school is just way too expensive, at 2,5 Thousand its even more expensive than a year at my school.. even though I know it would help me use these display things, its just too expensive T.T
Ross being amazed by a tablet for 5 minutes and 25 seconds straight. Good Job.
me: "that looks nice, let me go and buy it"
My Wallet: "NO!"
Milo was like, "Can't...keep....eyes...open... huh? what'd you say? What year is it?" XD Nice review btw, didn't know they came out with this til now.
this is painting why you are not sketching
Great video and speed drawing-Thank You! And rad sweet doggie! You Rock!
Everyone says "industrial design" as if it's something high end? It literally means a manufactured product, like wat?
Not really it's a study into the use, innovation, ergonomics and style of products. The in-between of art and engineering.
Still using my > 10 years old Intuos 4 and works like a charm. Replaced the nub once or twice and I use it almost all the time.
eerrggg.... nooo... Just for sketching on the go, this is way too much.
I definitely will be looking to get this in the near future.
Wacom in 2017 LUL. just get an XP pen or Ugee for 1/3rd of the price lmao.
CiscoLitco Agreed. they perform just as good I heard. Plus I need something to switch to after I either sell my old cintiq 21ux, or just use it until it craps out. :P
great review thank you! gonna get one of these bad boys! side note, your forearm tattoo is super cool! NERDS RULE MAN!

Do you have to connect it to a computer? Or can you use it by itself?
Went to go see how much it was and I swear I could feel ten years come off my life
Does the photoshop program comes installed, or you need to pay ? And if not, does it come with some program for coloring ?
SLEEPY DOGGO I REPLIED THAT PART LIKE 100 TIMES AWWW
