    Hi Dr Sam, would you consider making a video on antioxidant alternatives to vitamin C and vitamin C derivatives? There seems to be a fair number of us who cannot (for one reason or another) use vitamin C in our skincare regimen as it causes too much stinging and burning, so it would be nice to know if there are any alternative ingredients that offer the same or at least comparable levels of antioxidant protection as vitamin C. 🙏😊

      LED Blue light therapy stimulates melanocyte activities and will make hyperpigmentation worse; on the other hand, red and green light therapy have been shown to inhibit melanin synthesis.

    I have a samsung and they have a very easy way to defuse the blue light your phone emits by putting on a slight orange filter on your phone . It's amazing i have had the setting on for three years and just turned it off to test it and the phone looks sooo blue and different!

    more on this topic please. it's the most trying info to find. I'm especially interested in night shift work or night owls. circumstances that don't require makeup especially now with working from home and whatnot. also details like lights from the outside that come through the blinds while sleeping and how they affect retinoids and just general information on how to care for your skin if you're in such situation. anyway the visible light and hyperpigmentation/melasma sure hit hard, exactly as I'd feared 😭

    Is there a particular Polypodium Leucotomos supplement you'd recommend please? I see Heliocare sell one (which contains other things as well) but there look to be lots of others available online too which are just PLE. As someone who has had melasma for 15 ish years I'd be keen to add this into my routine to see if it works for me. Thanks x

    Dr Sam, I use Tretinoin 0.05% cream every other night but until now i couldn't manage to buy expensive sunscreen like Obagi and used the Nivea Sun Soothing Sensitive Face Cream SPF50.
    Could you please advice and review for drug store sunscreen from London stores?
    Wondering why Nivea or others brand name of the products are not in review from dermatologists or Nivea sunscreens are not in the dermatologists's approved ?
    I just don't want to get ruined my skin after protecting with the Tretinoin .
    Thank you

    Hi Dr Sam. Good day to you. Need your opinion regarding exposure of sunlight to get enough vitamin D. How much and how long do we need to expose our skin as I saw some articles if we put a sunscreen it will block the uva uvb. Dont need to put sunscreen. I know the importance of sunscreen (anti aging) etc.

    I don't believe that there are any ingredient suppliers that supply polypodium leucotomos, I haven't seen a brand other than Heliocare that uses it in their products, it is a very impressive plant extract and because it is a plant extract, I doubt that they could have patented it, I think it's just a matter of no suppliers, you should include it in your products if you can though, I am still waiting for yout o make a lightweight potent antioxidant serum with stable antioxidants that are tested and proven to be stable and proven to protect the skin from free radicals IN VIVO not in a petri dish with a single skin cell, or at the very least on reconstructed skin samples

    • @senator5472
      @senator5472 4 года назад

      But isn't polypodium leucotomos most commonly used in oral supplement format? It's probably not as effective in skincare.
