Review Clue for my Birthday please.
Been waitin all month for this! What a great streaming day! Andor season finally, a great Wednesday show (after watching the 2 addams family movies) and now this!
Commercials, the most beautiful transition to the Holiday season. Bless your heart Doug! You're amazing! I can't wait to see your Xmas-gasm!!!
Long, Long Man: the greatest soap opera on tv since the "SEGATA SANSHIRO!" Sega commercials.
Biggest Plot Twist since The Sixth Sense
“Good Lord Honey, your coffee sucks ass! “. “Oh dear Dear, why don’t you go to sleep. What’s this can of gas and lighter doing here? How’s that coffee tasting now dear? HOW’S THAT COFFEE TASTING NOW DEAR?!”
@@cfruge444 tbf, the woman Was trying to cheat on her husband for months with the same guy, so it does change things a bit
@@Spikex99 yeah by that point the woman had become so shameless and dishonest that you kinda WANTED her to get screwed over by the end. And she DOES.
yo segata sanshiro was the best
Long Long Man now being part of the Nostalgia Critic Cinematic Universe is now my favorite thing ever.
Mine too
I hate people being hoes, so I absolutely hate them
That was the plot twist of the century.
I saw the first Long Long Man video a while back and got hooked lol. I'd love to find video with the whole epic dram of Long Long Man. I randomly remember those commercials and still snicker I want to try the candy wonder if it's still around? If so does it taste good?
@@grimlen_named_Moss It was popular for some time but its been ages since I seen it on store shelves. As for the taste, it's not bad. Like the old american candy, Fruit by the foot.
Folgers vs Wilkins was not the crossover I was expecting but it is the one I now need.
A rom-com centered round Wilkins coffee and Folgers, I have too many ideas and someone out there has the money, can we please make this happen.
shitty husbands vs killer kermit? all for it!
Fun fact about the Long Long Man commercial is that when the guy proposes to her and she sees Long Long Man the camera pans up towards the ears, but you see the balloons go up with the camera. Long Long Man actually lost grip of the balloons when he saw the sight of the guy proposing thinking them he lost his chance.
I forgot that it has that ending, oddly progressive for Japan
@@ToHoldNothing Can't say it's "oddly" when there was that time when America changed Sailor Neptune & Sailor Uranus from lesbian couple to cousins.
You think this was originally gonna be a tv show but then someone was like," what if we used this to sell candy".
But sir this was going to be rated R there's like twelve sex scenes al...
" I wanna use it to sell candy".
I don't think the investors are gonna..
" Imma use it to sell candy".
America has to sensor out that stuff because it won't sell in China.
@@GlassesnMouthplates I mean, it's more progressive pockets and even that can feel queerbaiting at times
I remember saying last year that I couldn't believe it was time for Commercials again. My thoughts have not changed. This is my most anticipated RUclips video every year. Doug, you never disappoint.
I have the last compilation of commercials saved in a playlist for whenever I need help sleeping. And sometimes I just watch it in the day when I’m bored and wanna watch something I like
I used to really look forward to these things. Kind of disappointed Ngl.
I thought Dong was done with these?? But anyways *"COMMERCIALS!"*
Honestly? Same.
I love Doug and Co.
I remember voting on trix if you wanted to rabbit to finally eat them. I voted yes and a few months later they let him have the trix. It was so awesome
apparently that was 30 years ago....makes me kind of wonder why they even bothered with the Got Milk ad when due to popular demand they finally let him have it
You have no idea how elated I was to have Wilkins show up during the coffee segment. I'm all, "Where's Wilkins when we need him to put people in their place?" Low and behold, prayers instantly answered. Lol
Some learn, some don't.
Honestly, if someone made an entire movie centered around Wilkin's coffee, I'd watch it.
I was thinking the same thing hahaha I was like “Those a**hole husbands deserve the Wilkins treatment lmao
Okay, the juxtaposition of Tamara turning around with the so-called "ideal housewife" Yes, dear?" while in shackles was just too damn funny...
Nevermind, the banana gag during the Long-long man ad was WAY funnier.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were referencing Duckman there.
@@PaulW_ftPAULK That's where my mind went.
@@brittb1696 can you elaborate more on trapping of abusive marriage being the reason why no fault divorce spiked.I was under the impression of that it was more profitable to be divorced then married for the woman and with no fault divorce being much easier as well to engage divorce.
10/10 for including Long Long Man! Best commercial ever!
I don’t even understand it but it’s still epic.
@@Jotinko JackSepticEye does a full review of the whole series, a lot got cut here. Or go watch the full thing. It's 6 and half minutes and so worth your time

Malcolm and Tamara saying "COMMERCIALS!" with the same level of enthusiasm... you know it's a great special. Also, Be Cool About Fire Safety is the annual obligatory PSA.
Absolutely, to honor Gilbert Gottfried.
@@PaulW_ftPAULK And featuring Lindsay Lohan
@Dann Rajeeh what about the house hippos?
Well, he can’t do any scary foreign PSAs anymore because RUclips’s Community Guidelines have become so draconian and unforgiving, Doug doesn’t want to risk it anymore.
@Dann Rajeeh absolutely.
The Long, Long, Man commercial is the greatest commercial series I have ever seen. And that song, when you hear it, you know it's going to be long.
I learned about them from a jacksepticeye video. They're like a soap opera.
@@alexjewett7455 I learned about them from Chadtronic and yea, agreed.
I found out about them at this one panel at a con I used to go to (before the Beer Crown Disease hit) where they just had a showcase of various Japanese commercials. Here's hoping Tarako shows up in a future installment.
The part when her fat female friend put the small, small man gummys from one package together to the same long, long man length
It's funny the build up is he likes the dude not her, but I hate those commercials I can't stand cheating hoey stuff like that

Fun Fact: The most expensive commercial ever was created by Chanel in 2004. It is a fully-fledged romance short film, featuring a forbidden love which is much reminiscent of Moulin Rouge - for more than one reason. Its price was 33 million dollars, 3 million of which were given to Nicole Kidman, who casted in the ad. It is a truly beautiful one, in truth.
what was it a commercial for?
Name of the short film please!?
@@KirboYT it was made by Chanel. My bet is perfume...
@@SMon42 It's called "the film" & it's for chanel N*5, here's the link (it'll also show up if you just search it) ruclips.net/video/0hcaaKhGL00/видео.html
I DO remember that commercial. IIRC, the comparison to Moulin Rouge is far closer than you might think: it was directed by Baz Luhrmann, directo of MR. And yes, the commercial was for a perfume: Chanel´s flagship fragrance Chanel No. 5
I couldn't restrain myself from cheering when Wilkin peeked around that corner haha
For once, he's the hero
“It’s autumn, and the nuts are beginning to fall” 😂 that’s my favorite
During the 1960's Imprisoned Housewife Tamera skit, when her husband opened the door, I thought to myself "This would be a great moment for Wilkins to show up," I then ended up thinking: "Please be Wilkins, please be Wilkins," and then WILKINS showed up! Amazing! I loved it! What a predictable but amazing twist!
lol yep! During the entire series of those ads, I kept thinking "Those husbands are more sadistic than Wilkins is!" lol
@@toptenguy1 how? What is so bad about saying "honey, your coffee is shit, and I would very much like you to improve it"
@@Sumschmuck it’s the way they say it, so passive aggressive and demeaning
@@mrcritical6751 so how does being passive aggressive equal sadism?
@@mrcritical6751 yeah they’re being assholes but Wilkins is killing wontkins
The psa gag with Jim and Tamara is the best kind of predictable. Funny enough to laugh as you see the punchline coming, and again when it's delivered.
Truth be told, I didn't see it coming, I was too busy laughing at the first few jokes from her in the shackles to wanting to know what the sun looks like had me crying 😂🤣
@@Juber777 That works too.
IMO, it’s one of the best sketches this show ever did 😂
Dude, Tamara looked like Cathy Bates in it, and I hope the gang noticed and will used that image in a future skit.
What started out as a joke episode about nostalgic commercials has blossomed into one of the most anticipated videos of the year. Love you all at Channel Awesome and have another wonderful holiday season and Happy new year!
Aw. I’m happy for Wilkins for finding a killer romance. ☕️
I totally saw that reveal coming 🤣
We should give this coffee addicted psycho babe a name
Like Sally Sin or something
It’s so romantic. I hope they’re happy together.
@@jareththegoblinking3191 When Hairless Met Sally. 😅
Wilkins commercials are wholesome not going to lie lol.
The fact Tamara is always the most convincing at looking dangerously insane is a bit worriesome XD
Adding the Wilkins Coffee puppet!
It takes real talent
She's been phenomenal at it from day 1! (Wicker Man Review)
Edit: The REAL day 1 was technically Catwoman, but Wicker Man was the first review where she had a major role. Just clarifying XD
She was also supposed to be in a Face/Off review for a skit but all we got is the behind the scenes of the skit, not the actual skit
I’m half convinced the Poopsie Slime Surprise toy and commercial was a deleted SNL skit where they throw in everything little girls would like (babies, unicorns, dolls, slime, glitter, music, Twitter, dancing) and there was one consultant who's a cynical, burned-out parent and wants to have the toys poop so the kids know what they're in for when or if they become parents.
Yeah. And unfortunately there's one that actually craps out slime. He looked at the one that just sings about it.
That actually sounds like it’d be a pretty funny skit
Honestly those commercials were so cringy that I feel that weird people who are actually into poop stuff probably have more dignity than the people who made that toy.
@@Twinklethefox9022 it’s going to sound weird but I’m glad there’s one that actually poops. So at least the song wasn’t completely pointless.
Link?
These specials are legendary.
Long Long man is so funny. They really pulled no punches in creating the best commercial drama.
I feel like there should be a sequal series to Sakeru Gummies, I'm thinking Netflix series that's centered around Long and Tooru-San living their lives together happily...until they bump into Chi-Chan again, they ignore her but Chi-Chan continuously tries to break the two up, will Tooru-San and Long have a happy ending or will Chi-Chan have the last laugh.
I can imagine every father in the 59s “son, whoever you marry, make sure her coffee doesn’t suck “ those commercials have NOT aged well
Simp.
The long long man commercials are my favorite. I'm glad you finally covered these.
Long Long Man is love!
It cracked me up how the commercial was enjoyed by all four of them like it's a movie or the series finale of a TV show
@@GBmovieluv it kind of is. Look it up and watch them. They're hilairious but... there's actually a story and character development.

Long long man actually being after the guy must be the biggest twist in commercial history
nay, in human history
Holy crap, I literally squeeled like a child being surprised with a puppy! Best twist of all time!!!
I loved the little nods to past commercial specials (Chia Pet, Wunder Boner, the cereal commercials being serials, boards games and toys being twisted back then + Crash Test Dummies, "I've fallen and I can't get up" woman , Wilkins Coffee, starting the special with a video game commercial) and an indirect one to the Batman Diet Coke.
In a sense, it kind of felt like an anniversary commercials special.
We’ve heard this one since, on another NC video somewhere, but I never tire of ‘f***ing BUBBLES!!!”
Finally, NC gets to talk about Pizza Head. As a millennial, I would always watch old commercials of them on RUclips and yes, I knew it was basically Mr. Bill even back then. I'm glad you praised them because they're so hard to hate.
Good lord, those coffee commercials. Wilkins truly saved the day.
I would have poured the coffee in their laps.
You can't imagine how big my smile got when I saw the Long Long Man commercials make an appearance. Jacksepticeye introduced me to them and now NC's giving them some love. He definitely saved the best for last.
i first saw them on a Fine Bros React video years ago.

Dude, those Long Long Man ads are the stuff of legend, especially the twist ending that changes your whole perspective of the whole series. But if you want a series of ads that really messes with your mind, the Ken Bruce Has Gone Mad ads are legendary.

Honestly a year without Commercials just feels different like something is really missing upon our lives
Like a day without sunshine?
We experience that in 2012.
There’s only so many commercials. These kinda compilations will be easier to make in like 2150 as they pile up lol.

Ever since I saw the Pizza Hut commercial compilations on that little guy, last year; I thought to myself: "Nostalgia Critic should do a review on that, during one of his commercial specials."
And you came through, so thanks. 😁👍
COMMERCIALS!!!!!!
Whooo hoo!
Ok, as someone who watched Mr. Bill and The Pizza Head Show, it is so nice knowing that these ads are still remembered. Also, Doug does a pretty good Pizza Head impression.
The coffee bit was genius! 😂
They should have tried Wilkins Coffee instead
The second I heard "Oh my God! Not you!" I knew exactly who was gonna pop out from behind that doorframe. 🤣
Tamara during the pizza sketch: wins most believable Pizza murderer award, such conviction! That was adorably hilarious 😂
The Wilkins bit was gold
Especially the coffee commercials cuz Kermit is just in every commercial forcing everybody Especially his partner in crime to drink Wilkins coffee or I'll kill you
Another fun that i love about commercials is: It is said that one of the oldest outdoor advertisements was carved on a stone column in the ancient city of Memphis. It was created in approximately 500 BC. and stated: “I live here, Minos from Cyprus, who can interpret dreams for a moderate fee.” Bold.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Long Long Man! Possibly the greatest commercial episodic arc ever created. I was shown this compilation about a year ago and I could believe how long that whole series went and a payoff I never expected. My God it's amazing and I'm glad you guys showcased it briefly here.
Do NOT stop making these, ever. Always makes me laugh. Thank you.
I love that I was able to call the Wilkins joke as soon as the husband said "Not you!"
When you started the bit with the coffee and the door bell ring, I literally thought "that better be freaking Wilkins Coffee." So when it happened I literally screamed out loud YES!!!! Lol you don't disappoint 😂
When your coffee commercial skit was in black and white I was all, “ please reference, Wilkins coffee, please reference Wilkins coffee .” And you did! Bravo!
Wilkins coffee is the cinematic cross over we never knew that we needed!

A Nostalgia Critic episode on commercials premiering are one of the best times of the year
yup.
You know the slogan for Folgers should of been "The best part of waking up is evil coffee man in your cup."
"THE BEST PART OF WAKING UP IS COCAINE IN YOUR CUP!" *SNRRRT* "GNAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
For those looking for "COMERCIALS! ", When he said "The last video" he means its in the "Mrs. Doubtfire - Nostalgia Critic" review and its at 12:21.

I love this series. I anticipate it every time November comes in. It’s a shame about the PSAs this year but it still won’t stop me from enjoying these commercials. Thank you Doug. Can’t wait for next year.
Technically speaking be cool about fire safety was a PSA It just wasn’t creepy
After the husband opened the door I was saying, "PLEASE BE WILKINS!.PLEASE BE WILKINS!.PLEASE BE WILKINS! YAAAAAY!"
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Omg I think I actively repressed PizzaHead. Omg it hit me like a truck
Edit: ok. I have not been so invested in one of your skits in a long time. But that coffee skit had me chanting THAT BETTER BE WILKINS so hard XD THE DELIVERY IS GORGEOUS
Honestly Channel Awesome thank you for everything you do and thank you for making everybody Wednesday feel so much better
Thanks for watching Konehead!
Going to be honest, this brightened my day so much. I laughed so hard at the coffee skit. Thank you, guys. You're amazing.
I haven't thought about Pizzahead in a good 20 years. Thanks for unlocking that repressed memory.
This is honestly starting to be my favorite thing for every year what new Commercials the Critic will bestowe upon us
Malcolm and Tamara’s gratuitous Pizza Head violence had me shrieking with laughter. Also, for the next commercial special may I suggest a Jeno’s pizza rolls ad from the ‘70s? It parodies other well-known commercials from the time - including these dreadful Folgers ads!
It reminded me of 3 guys one hammer :(
That had to be my favorite part of the video.
Really? I'm intrigued.
I frankly, only know Gilbert Gottfried as the voice of Iago from Aladdin and Mr Mxzyptlk on Superman TAS. But he sure was memorable.
And the voice he was remembered by wasn't e ven his voice, I mean it was, but it was a voice he put on. He had a completely normal speaking voice, he just used that one because it got popular.
28:59 best use of the Tom scream
It's worth waiting an entire year for these.
I haven't seen Nostalgia Critic in a few years, and seeing this just come across my dash was a fun trip to the past.
I’m thankful we have another fun mix of commercials and commentary. Critic, never stop doing these. They’re the highlight of my year
Been watching since the first “After These Messages" episode you did and it was the first time I cared about an online character. Not an insane amount, but who can’t relate to a crisis of purpose and “I donut donuts”? Highly engaging years ago and I love seeing the new ones too. Thank you.
The pizza-head show. Doug you just unlocked a core memory. I've been trying to find out what that commercial was for the longest time, and was starting to question if it was even real.
One of the best compilations I've seen. I've even seen some of the commercials included. Nice to know you're continuing with Wilkins Coffee! The outfits on Tamara are awesome. So is Malcolm's at 28:17. The ending commercial with all of you in the shot was fabulous!
We going to get a Super Bowl ad commercial special? That would be interesting to see old commercials for it
Ooh, that would be fun!
why won't he do one? it would be better than actually watching the super bowl (I live in Canada we can't get the ads live) and he could always do it the way he did in the original trilogy
The Gilbert Gottfried ad here had me rolling!!
The Long long maaaaan commercials are my favorite series of commercials
I saw them on an internet historian videos; and the plot twist is the best ever!
Commercials are back! And so is Wilkins! So happy to have another episode in the Commercials anthology!!
I feel bad for the musicians and 3D animators who had to make that Poopsie commercial. You spend years honing your skills at something you're passionate about, and when you're finally good enough to charge people money for it, this is what they ask you to do.
And then everyone who sees it blames you for what you were forced to work with, like you deliberately chose to make something so batshit insane
Even after a shitty stressful month, another edition of these videos brings me back to that warm cozy fuzziness again. That ABC jingle oddly enough takes me back to 2013/14, it's strangely nostalgic. Thank you.
Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since Commercials Resurrection. How time flies. It’s a new video every week and it’s always something I can look forward to. I remember at school when we were a month from Christmas break, I just thought to myself “it’s only four more Nostalgia Critic reviews away”. I haven’t seen this video yet because I’m binging all of your commercial specials, but I just wanted to say, I’ve been watching you since I was 11 and I’m 14 now and you’ve been a big influence on my life and my love and knowledge for movies. I always look forward to your reviews every week. Keep up the good work, Critic.
Gibert Gottfried playing a smoke dector was uncanny but hilarious Pizza Head was so funny and zaniest then some of the commercials I watched lol.
The commercials specials have become one of my favorite formats. So entertaining and nostalgic, awesome 👌🏻
And I can't believe that you put in the Clapper. I was around 7 years old when I saw this commercial for the first time. It aired annually around Christmas here in Germany, and the song would get stuck in my head for days, at least. Thank you for reviving that long dead ear worm 😂👍🏻
“Hey Internet, have you ever wanted see My Little Pony crossed with Rainbow Brite as a shiza stripper? Of course you do, you’re the Internet.” The fact that he was able to say that whole line without cracking up is reason enough to give Doug Walker an Emmy.
Has it been a year already? This time last year the commercial episode really lifted me up from heartbreak and a reply to my comment was a big help too
Love these specials ❤️ keep up the good work
I'm pretty sure Pizza Head is probably the most dangerous thing in the world
Been years and years, but thank you for being a constant form of entertainment
Finally. He covered another Japanese commercial. And he chose one of the best.
What was the previous one?
Sega saturn commercials
7:10 😆😆
This had me in tears.
Tamara had too much fun with that one
Fun Fact the man behind The Clapper and Chia Pet is the same person: Joseph Pedott. There is nothing like promoting two brands for the price of one.
Honestly at this point i don't think Commercials will ever die it will just go to the end of time
You know if you take the Purple Pill you get to watch another Nostalgia Critic Commercial episode, but if you take the Orange Pill with spots all over you get to see Bruce Willis fight off a Giant Toothpaste Container.
Fun Fact: The Unicorn Poop toy company is being sued by Black Eye Peas because the company didn't pay to parody the song for their commercial.
This was the BEST COMMERCIAL EPISODE EVER!!!!!!!! I actually screamed in delight with the Wilkins appearance and Long Long Man! I actually show the entire Long Long Man saga during a Japanese commercial panel that I host at anime conventions. Having you highlight that series just made my whole year! Thank you for another epic commercial video!!!!
I got to see the saga for the first time at Connecticon this year, was the best part hands down
