@BullDog Jackson Hello, I would just like to say that the NAACP was not controlled by blacks at that time, not until about the 1970s. I can understand both views as a black man. Somethings have 2 b done away with for progression of the black race n any country. And there's collateral damage that had 2 happen for that progression 2 shows like Amos & Andy. Don't 4 get all the usage of the 🥜 peanut. Their r courageous whites that helped n the Civil Rights movement 2. Some phrases would remind U of uncle tomming. Acting is great n those shows. The show stands as a testament of what we as BLACKS have over come & surpassed as a PEOPLE not just n America but worldwide.
Harriet of the Underground Rail Road, said she would've freed more slaves, but some didn't realize they were Slaves. There's enough ignorance 2 go around. Don't point fingers keep working 2 gether. Amos & Andy played it's part .The foundation of what we as BLACKS have many contributing Factors. Look where Tupac, Ice Cube, Ice T, Jackie Robinson, Condolezza Rice, Paul Robson, Ali, Jay Z, Sears use 2 b Sears & Roebucks. And please for the sake of understanding don't focus on the Spelling focus on Content & Context. NAACP HAS DONE ALOT OF POSITIVES N THIS COUNTRY
AMERICA THAT HAS BEEN SEEN AROUND THE WORLD.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT GO FIGURE
Benjamln Lewis It’s called personal growth!
Great show on radio too
I love this because all the women of color were thick .....
SHOWS A PERIOD WHEN THE BLACK RACE WAS HAD A STRONG SELF WORTH...
The black race STILL do, it's just isn't publicized on tv
@@Buisness1 👍👍👍.
@@alphonsozorro7952 BULL!!! Timbuktu was "not" originally Arab. The "islam MOORS (blacks)" destroyed "all" presences of the "AFRICANS," Africans. YES, I said "AFRICANS" educational institutions then killed and/or disbursed (sold into slavery) the remaining AFRICAN PPLS. LEARN (research) HISTORY!!!
O'h, and while we're at it, are you really so naive to "believe" Palestinians were "not" black? Today's Palestinians are "arabs," meaning (over a period of time) "mixed" with "various" races. Have you not noticed? Some "arabs" are black as coal while some are as white as europeans. EDUCATE YOURSELF!!
The First date app with out scammers
Blacks in positions of authority where is the racism and stereotypes here ?
In an all-black society they are bound to hold all postions, including higher ones.
Poor Andy!!!!!
I think it tried to portray Black Americans as dumb and uneducated, truth be told, these guys were brilliant actors!!!! Tgey were classy people, too.
If you think about it, didn't Norman Leer do the same in the way he portrayed white (and rich Black) men...and women in the 70s?
Think about it!
B.S. that's as absurd as saying the Three Stooges or Laurel & Hardy tried to portray white people as dumb and uneducated. It's COMEDY. Left-wing snowflakes aren't happy unless they're offended about something.
And yes, they WERE brilliant actors.
George Murphy, It was a COMEDY!!!!
Why they show this show anymore
TV = number one mind- altering drug. Too bad it changed for the worse.
And getting even worse.
I think It's the only type of life...meaning Marriage... This is very very sexist on both sides... love the show for showing African American lawyers, nurses, judges, police officer's, business people... for all the negative things surrounding a few characters, the African American powers that were, decided the show was a bad view of African Americans based on the lead characters ignoring the positive ones... There were many years later before African Americans were portrayed then anything other than a servants. This was a trade off....
THAT IS NOT TRUE!! CK out some of Harry Belafonta, Sidney Portiea's, Ertha Kitt "ealy" movies in their youth. My favorite, Porgie and Bess. The other, I can't recall the movie's name, Harry Belaphonta plays a soldier. It is somewhat a musical and the scene takes place in a small pub or cafe. It can be found on RUclips as I recently watched it several months ago.
MY but there were "so many" movies made in the '40's and '50's with "all black cast," where thery "are not" buck dancing as so many ppl imagine.
When king fish.died in 1959.he did have enough money to be buried
What a disrespectful comment
@@johnbishel1270 Fact.
Not 1959, it was 1958.
It's as funny as a tooth-ache.
Correct me if I’m wrong but when sapphire told king fish that she needed a new dress he said well I didn’t expect you to meet him with your “camel toe”.....😜
Hello, That's camisole, it's a ladies undergarment like a slip.
Yes it's just acting.
