How Gul'dan managed to find out about Illidan? Through the mind of Cordana Felsong, who he was able to mind-control during the legendary quest line. As a Watcher herself she definitely knew about Illidan's whereabouts.

zizamdidan The axe actually returned to Azeroth after the encounter with Sargeras. Korialstrasz, disguised as an Orc, gave the axe to Thrall in the present day. Thrall later gave the axe to Brox's niece and is the current wielder of the axe.

My theory on Anduin. Varian dies when he frees Anduin from some evil thingy-demon, crossbreed, Anduin takes his father's sword and armour and get all Naaru light-infused and becomes a badass leader of the Army of the Light. Varian's sword (Shalamayne) is already a legendary fusion of two elven swords: Ellemayne and Shalla'tor. And his belt is from Anduin Lothar (The fucking Lion of Azeroth).
So Anduin Wrynn with his light powers + ancient legendary fusion sword + armor piece from Anduin Lothar = Badass leader of the Light!
With Velen and Baine Bloodhoof as his advisors he would be the best dude ever! Med'an wouldn't have shit on him.
Illidan should have a complete meltdown at a character who has the Warglaives, and throughout the encounter you have with him, he tries to convince you to give them back. Like a little kid wanting his toy back.

RP servers won't have to deal with everyone having an Ashbringer because you are not allowed to RP and aknowledge in character that the weapon you are holding is of legendaey power (ie: Shadowmourne, Thunderfury, Warglaives) you can use the weapon for the model, but you cannot say that IC you are using the weapon. THE MORE YOU KNOW.

The way I see the Gul'dan thing is like this: Anybody ever play Dawn of War?
In Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, the Chaos leader was a guy called Eliphas the Inheritor. We beat him and he died, but his soul was sucked back into the Warp. Later on in Dawn of War 2, he returned having been brought back by the Chaos gods to fight us. So I imagine Gul'dan got sucked into the Twisting Nether, and they came up with another use for him. "This is your last chance" sort of deal.

Although it would be interesting to see pacifist Anduin turned by the Legion, whether by showing him the universe in perpetual war and chaos (claiming that peace is a myth), or that peace can only be achieved when all are part of the Legion (or dead), or possess him... Ony-3.0
Calling it now... After the battle against the Dark Titan, Anduin will get injured. Anduin will then set up a psychic/holy veil, protecting Azeroth from demons. Gnomes will then hook his body in a life support chamber, and this will spawn a new religion surrounding Anduin.
... sounds familiar for some reason.
If Illidan still has the Skull of Gul'dan..somehow...I would just love a little moment involving Gul'dan just having an out of body experience and staring at the skull.

Nagas come from Night Elves, all the elves that went under water became nagas. This is basic information learned from WC3 & the sundering books.

I've always wanted to see Black Rook Hold, the name alone seems like it would make for an awesome place. I'm hoping for an immense stone fortress with a raven motif, corrupted by the influence of the Nightmare.
23:10 I mean in Cata there wasn't any chosen start-raid like many other expansions had. You got 3 raids at the same time and you could you whichever you wanted to do.
In our timeline, Gul'dan was killed in the Tomb of Sargeras, and his skull was kept as a powerful magical artifact. When Arthas first met Illidan, he tricked the demon hunter into stealing and absorbing the Skull's power, causing Illidan's metamorphosis.
AU Gul'dan, having been sent through the demonic portal by Archimonde, arrives at the Warden's prison, and would likely sense the demonic energies and his own magical traces that would lead him to Illidan's corpse.
I think Class Halls should have a proving grounds area for their class, and have the proving ground be observable by other players of that class at the hall, kind of like brawlers guild. Multiple people can queue for PGs at a time but as long as someone is doing one it shows up. If multiple then it picks one and shows it for people in the hall to observe.

Cordana is the one informing Gul'dan calling it. Remember she was corrupted by the Orb and survives Warlords of Draenor.
So i think, the reason why Gul'dan ended up in our Azeroth is because, the portal where he was send through, was standing right at the place, where the dark portal to our Azeroth was standing.
9:50 Nobbel didn't get it quite right, but not all wrong: Kalimdor used to be the one and only continent of Azeroth, spanning from, what is now known as, Northrend to Pandaria, from the eastern kingdoms to "Kalimdor". These pieces weren't pushed apart by the well of eternity. The entire sea that circles the Maelstrom used to be a landmass spanning between the current continents. The well of eternity imploded, and then it was not.
I hope the prelaunch event is on the scale of WotLK's scourge invasion. SW's docks under attack, necropoli popping up everywhere etc, but this time internals and demon gateways start popping up

I imagine we'll see Alternate Draenor again in the future. Maybe next expansion, just like we're now seeing the result of Wrath come into Legion with the new Lich King maybe being involved in some way. Maybe when we finally get an Army of the Light expansion we'll see the reformed Draenor armies joining us against the Legion.
I want them to do something with Vol'jin. He's the first non-orc warchief, he's gotta do something big.

talking about anduin turning evil.... what would make since is that varian dies and anduin tries to revive him through the light and fails, so he seeks dark magic and speaks to sylvanas about resurrecting his father, and sylvanas takes this opportunity to teach him necromancy and corrupts his soul though the dark magic.. but even with his soul corrupted, he attempts to do "good" in the world by "resurrecting" the fallen heroes (but is blinded by sylvanas and is really making more forsaken)
WoW movie was part of the reason for WoD, but think for a moment: it was also a way to bring a real, actual villain back (i.e. Gul'dan) as well as Grom. Part of Legion near the end will almost surely have Yrel, Grom, and the Frost Wolves coming to help against the Legion. And if they do actually kill some major lore characters (perhaps Thrall and Vol'jin among others), think about how Thrall can be "reborn" via his alternate universe parents AND Vol'jin can be replaced with alternate universe Grommash. I think these things are almost certain to happen, because the Horde needs some revitalization while also getting rid of green Jeebus. This absolutely isn't the last we've seen of alternate universe characters.
Illidan and Maiev better have an epic fight cut scene like Thrall and Garrosh did

Is it me or does Crendor still not comprehend the idea of alternate reality?
It's another universe dude, one really similar to ours. We go there during it's present time.
It just happens their present time isn't as far along as ours. So it looks a lot like our past.
That aside I notice a lot of people don't understand proper time travel and alternate realities. Which surprises me, it's a pretty logical concept that eliminates the inconsistencies of time travel. I'm not very smart, but I find this concept very easy to understand.
Is there some reason people don't comprehend it? I want to say that it conflicts with peoples conceptions of time travel, and people are having trouble accepting new ideas or replacing old ones.
I think Gul'dan goes after Illidan to get the vials to create a new well so that he can summon sargeras.
What I think would be cool, is if we lose against Sargeras and are force to flee Azeroth, perhaps to Argus... completely cut off from Azeroth, no jumping back and forth. And have to try and survive on Argus until we are strong enough to kill Sargeras in the Nether.

So we THINK they (Maiev's troops) are dead in the Tomb of Sargeras. Chances are Blizz will make them quest givers or insane npcs we have to kill.
And Nobbel, there is a 4th "Trace" to all topics which is the Void. It may not have played a large roll yet, but it is still a place of origin for some.
I don't think there was mention of the Nightmare in WC3, but I think Crendor was talking about the cut scene where he calls the spell Illidan is casting a nightmare/an abomination.
I think Karazhan will become the Class Hall for the Mages tbh. A lot of potential there for weird things to happen. The Rogues are getting the Sewers of Dalaran (which has changed apparently too) so you never know.

Tbh, Anduin is a wimp now but I still think he is a great character, I think he just needs some story but he was just a kid and he made mistakes but I think he is going to be an amazing character who isn't always looking for a fight
Does anyone else think that an expansion which had the burning legion invasion work and the races combining forces and possibly attracting the attention of the Titans could beat them back after maybe 2 expansions?
