I haven't even played WoW since the launch of Legion but I just love the lore. Thanks for getting me caught up before my new xpac relapse.

This is a great video and I love both Crendor and Nobbel but goddamn based on it you would think Crendor plays the game blindfolded and with earplugs in.
I can understand not paying attention to the story but here he sounds like someone who's legit never even heard of Warcraft at all.
"Who are the Titans? Are they important?" Good Lord man. This physically hurt me to watch.
Wow, I didn't even get to that stage, I tuned out when he didn't know what X'era was. I mean she looks a bit different for a Naaru but she's still obviously a windchime like all the rest. Not knowing about the Titans is worse though because Sargeras is literally the main antagonist of the entire Warcraft universe and he basically still is even though he's now locked up. Most of the bad things that happened in the universe can be traced back to him. Say what you will about the Void Lords but they've done a whole lot less damage than him to the parts of the universe we know about.
Lol, I don't like to read quests are really anything IG really (been trying to change that) so I can understand not learning from the game itself, but man, the Lore is so amazing in this game so I do "Lore Study" on my own on Google and RUclips and occasionally the books if I can get my hands on them haha. Even just playing the game and going to places like Silvermoon, I feel, should get you interested in learning what the hell happen there, lol.
Haven't even played legion and I know more lore than Crendor just from watching cinematics.
I think Crendor just really likes the sound of Nobbel's voice so he invites him so he can just zone out for an hour and that's why he blanked on all the lore... kinda like how I am with hearing Crendor speak. We're watching Crendor listenting to Crendors' Crendor?
I'm actually amazed that Crendor pretty much knows nothing about the wow lore, for how much he plays it and hearthstone you would think they he would at least pick up something like come on man.
It's more the fancy names like the Naaru and the crown of domination
Like he would say "oh yeah Arthas put on the fancy hat and turned evil"
While a lore person would say "Arthas out on the crown of domination and accepted the power of the Lich King"
I actually got kind of sad when he didn't know about Titans and Azeroth, lol.

I think Doronsmovies is another good page. Lots of good lore. And not just lore on the story, but lore on classes, items, events, etc. He just has a thick accent haha.

I dont think we still know what happens when a titan wakes up and forms his/her material body. Afaik Argus (the planet) was in one piece when the titan soul woke up.

I imagine it'd be like this show called Drunk History, where a bunch of comedians explain historical events with the idea being they're getting more and more wasted as the night goes on.

Arthas raises himself from the dead, walks up to Bolvar on the frozen throne, slaps the helm of domination off his face and sits back down until the expansion after BfA hits while new whispers emanate from the throne about how he is going to save us from the void by killing us all.
I just had a thought about the whole "The hour of her 3rd death"-thing. When Il'gynoth says "her" he could just be very cryptic and mean all 3 of the Windrunner sisters. Sylvannas dying and turning into the Banshee-Queen could be the first, Alleria turning into a Void Elf could be the second (turning into a void-creature could be a metaphoric way of dying). And about the death of Vereesa, well we have seen the drawings of Teldrassil burning from Blizzcon, and it looks like Vereesa is lying and is wounded/dying. Her death would only create more reasons for the coming war in BFA, and while the Horde and Alliance fights, it would be the perfect timing for the Old Gods to try and break free from their prisons.
It might just be me thinking crazy thoughts, but what do you guys think?

Should i start playing WoW again? The only time i really played was when i was 9 during burning crusade and i did nothing but dungeons (super fun, some of my greatest gaming memories had there) but idk the new expansion seems pretty hype

Some of these comments are the finest gatekeeping stuff. I for myself play wow on and off since cata and am totaly clueless about the lore cause I could'nt care less. I'm playing for the gameplay mechanics in raids or chilling while twinking, listening to a podcasts. There is multiple ways to enjoy this game, even without caring about lore.
Wild speculation? I got some.
The first raid, the titan facility, was built to study/contain the remains of the 5th old god. Earlier lore said there where 5 old gods but was later changed to 4 and then again changed to 3 and 1 killed by the titans. My theory is that there WAS 5 at first but the 4 others always warring with each other actually killed one of the 5. What tiny bit was left was found by the titans during the ordering and it's basically like the Flood from Halo.
I'm basing this purely off of 1 thing that isn't even WoW related: the art they showed at blizzcon for this reminded me of the Primordial from Halo who is the first flood. Also HiddenXperia won't shut up about the flood in his lore vids so it's stuck in my head.
Bysentenial They already told us the origin of the first raid. It was where the titans were experimenting on a way to defeat the old gods and accidentally created a blood god, then locked it up.

They actually mention a lot that some believe Xal'atath, Blade of the Black Empire, is the remains of an Old God that was much weaker than the others and devoured by them.

Guys, you ever watched talk shows where host ask his guests questions even tho he knows the answers? "What's the name of your new movie?" or "How many children do you have?" I think this is the same thing (maybe I'm wrong).
Don't hate the Crendawg, hate the game.
The game explains all the main plot points just fine, it's just that Crendor doesn't care much about the game unless his friends are playing it or it's triggering his nostalgia. As a result he genuinely doesn't know the answers to these questions. Not knowing what a Naaru is, why Illidan is his scars, or anything about Alleria and Turalyon is pretty inexcusable if you care at all about the lore and it's pretty easy to tell that he didn't listen to either of the Legion audio dramas which is as well.
I was trying to think thats what he did too but when he asked about what the titans are I seriously started to think that hes genuinely ignorant of the basic lore of Warcraft

I'm pretty sure Crendor just does the quests without reading them. Even if he did, to be fair most of them are very forgettable. I always take my time with every zone, but my god it's all so easy to forget when it's not even important save for one aspect of it.

Well he does play but not really, he doesnt play as much as some of us do, but he does play. Like each new patch he will play for a week or 2 and then stop

The Pantheon being killed and inhabiting their watchers on Azeroth doesn't make sense, why would Sargeras be torturing them and we free them then? I heard that it could be part of their spirit that was being torture, but that does not make any sense because once they are free Magni acts as if they were the whole spirit. It really seems like sloppy story writing at this point.

Do people think that monarchies and seafaring are mutually exclusive or something? I'd be fine with them if they were in the Horde. They're not really unique but neither are any of the other Allied Races, they just don't fit with the Alliance at all. If they could go back and have Tyrande treat the Nightborne better during the siege of Suramar and then switch the Nightborne and Void Elves factions I would much prefer that.
Yeah, most of the people I talk to seem to agree with that.
But in a way it fits lore wise, bc it plays on the actual depth of the factions. Game wise I still like the idea, bc it's different from Horde = Bad/Monsters haha

But to go deeper.... an old God is likely whispering to keep us fighting, so they can bring back the black empire.

What fighting due to legion launch events? Are you seriously trying to say there was any at all? Do you mean the shitty WQ towers between AND ONLY BETWEEN FORSAKEN, AND GILNEAS? Try again please, yknow that's work if they launched the stupid reveal with a small even a old god whisper, something hitning at it more and not some autistic war that makes no sense. You say they've been fighting? But literalyl ALL FUCKING ZONES ARE BANDING TOGETHER. Suramar, Argus, And every other quest area except Stormheim because austic forsaken and gilneas circle jerk. They're fighting because (speculation) N'Zoth was blown up so Alliance naturally attack the horde. Some speculate N'Zoth corrupted the Night Elves into blowing up Teldrassil and blaming the Horde to start a war as a distraction for Queen Azshara to attack and try to free him. (Queen Azshara being a future raid boss). Im not sure how I personally feel about the Elves destroying Teldrassil, but the rest I like. Blizz tries to make us think we're just gonna get an expansion based on the faction conflict "going to their roots" and then throws in the last Old God in the end.
Crendor's been playing for years and doesn't know about the lore, he's missing a big part of the experience!
This was a pretty good illustration of why Blizzard writers are abysmal, and WoW lore is a complete shitstain...
