    Ohtani made a fraction of what this clown earned per year and I'm sure Ohtani also views his own family as a priority ... after all, he let his mom handle his paychecks and give him an allowance. But the difference is Ohtani was out there going 100% to the point of blowing out his arm twice bc he has pride in his craft and respects the spirit of competition. I guarantee you Rendon was one of the major reasons Ohtani bounced and also elected to defer $680M of his contract.

    • @user-pk6oz3jd9v
      @user-pk6oz3jd9v 5 месяцев назад

      So Ohtani’s injuries are because of pride? So does that mean Rendon has more pride than Ohtani? Ridiculous, inconsistent statement. Your hate of Rendon is clear, Ohtani gets injured it’s pride and effort, Rendon gets hurt it’s lack of pride and effort. He has frustrated the crap out of me at times, but I give him credit for any good too, like I mentioned earlier, I think it’s great that he showed up to camp earlier and the praise from O’Hoppe about the help he gave him, and other recent positive comments he said about the coming year. The negative is deserved, but let’s not ignore the positive just because you don’t like him.

      @@jayceh1031I understand everything you said, and I have the right to my opinion just as you do. Saying that he doesn't care, hates baseball, and doesn't work hard just because baseball isn't his #1 priority is in my opinion wrong. As I said, he reported early, is trying a new workout routine in hopes that he stays on the field, and expressed excitement to work with Washington. That doesn't fit the hate baseball narrative. I also stick to my opinion that saying Ohtani cares more because of his injury, but Rendon's been injured more so why doesn't that reflect him caring as much? Ohtani may care more, but injuries aren't proof of that. I'll say it again, Rendon has done a lot to be criticized about, but these comments aren't one of those things in my opinion. And you can question my baseball comprehension all you want, but as a former semi-pro, father of a son who had a chance to go pro but arm problems steered him in a different direction, 3 cousins who played pro, one in the Olympics, a handful in the Canadien HOF, as a coach on and off since 18, and a son who's a coach for a living, I'd easily and confidently match my knowlege of the game with anyone commenting including you, and the guy that made this video.

    Bryce Harper won’t have the same numbers as Trout but Harper will be remembered for his postseason bombs.
    Also, Roy Halladay didn’t want to leave Toronto or Blue Jays fans but knew his window was closing on his career. Blue Jays fans understood and wanted to see him succeed. Trout wanting to be with the same organization his who career is commendable but sometimes it’s just stupid.

You won't be able to get paid 38 million dollars a year, and you don't even play, that's just to good to be true. The future contracts will be performance based, you get paid based on how much you play, and you won't get paid during your IL stint.

    While I’m no fan of Rendon, this specific exchange is being blown out of proportion.
    I’m sure 99.9% of players would put their faith and family before baseball. I think it’s pretty nearsighted to think all players should be like Trout and live and breath baseball.
    He isn’t wrong about anything he said, it is his job. How many of us live and breath our careers? I’m sure some do but they are definitely in the minority. Just because it’s baseball he’s suppose to be in love with it? It’s obvious he had the talent and saw baseball as a way to make the most money, it isn’t his passion, it’s his job.
    Maybe he could be less blunt about it but at the end of the day at least he is telling truth. Everyone knows Redon and his mindset towards baseball. The Angels should made the choice to sign him, you can’t blame him for taking the money. Any one of us in his situation would have done the same thing.
