LOL.... at a Tennessee Oilers 1997 game I yelled something about 36 year old Henry Ellard age during player introductions & that pizzed him off dude caught 2 TDs both in my endzone LOL... Oilers won easily though. Still funny to me
I agree. A little too impulsive. If he's not just an irredeemable narcissist, I think he'll mature and become well liked in the second half of his career.
The interaction between Manny and Tatis was good for the Tabloids and Non Padres fans. Of course, Padres fans know it was about Tatis thinking about the team and not himself.
I understand why a lot of people don't like machado, but I feel like he has matured a lot his last 2 to 3 seasons and hasn't really had many if any notable events since he's been with the Padres. I would go as far as to say he's normally pretty respectful despite still getting a lot of hate for his old antics.
Machado going to SD has been one of the best things for his attitude (that’s the best word I can think of). It’s put him in a veteran team leader role, which has drastically changed the way he acts.
Let me start by saying I’m a padres fan. I was weary when padres signed him to that huge deal with all the extra baggage he had. He was a dirty player IMO. Since he’s come to sd, I can definitely say he’s a changed man. He’s matured and realized what he’s done in the past was him being immature and young. What he did in the past was disgusting and he knows that. He has done a 360 in SD and is trying to be a role model to tatis (also a very young superstar with a lot of pressure). What did machado do recently to warrant this type of video though? He’s been in San Diego for 3 years already! Oh yeah your a red soxs fan 😂 checks out why you would still make a video like this.
If he'd done a 180 in SD he'd have pulled Tatis in the clubhouse & not in public where it can show a guy up! Machado can play, but I doubt you'll find many who'd disagree that he could start a fight in an empty room!
@@BobSmith-rf3ph hey bob you obviously don’t know baseball either if you think machado ripping tatis in the dugout was a problem. It had to happen especially at the moment. If you saw how manny played in Baltimore you can see the obvious 360 he made here in SD.
One of the better second baseman I ever saw on the diamond mentioned that he just waited to turn a double play against ass hats. The next time the situation presented itself he wanted the first baseman to set the target low and to the right of first base. And he'd line up on that spot and throw a 95 mph strike - or, set thar throw into the upper torso of the guy trying to take him out at second. All it took was one toss to the chops and retribution was sweet...
You mean he's cleaned up his public image? If I get in constant trouble because I keep cursing in front of my grandparents, it doesn't mean that I've stopped cursing: I just don't curse when my grandparents are around. Machado LOVES attention, and realized he had a ton of bad attention. People don't change at his age.
Considering that players today seem to play ball only for the money, Manny has made the big bucks, but he also plays hard to win. Back in the day, Manny wouldn't have been unusual for playing hard ball.
I fail to see how Manny's slide against Pedroia was dirty, yeah he came in hard but he clearly didn't mean to injure him. He then got thrown at in like 3 to 4 more at bats including the mentioned one at his head so he has a reason to be upset there
In my opinion I believe he’s matured once he got to San Diego cause people gotta remember he was pretty young when he made his debut and I’m sure he’s at that age now where he’s starting to mature more and more as he gets older
Machado may have been a hot head when he was younger, but he has definitely matured. He's the leader of the Padres on the field and in the clubhouse, and often seems to be the one with a level head. He plays the game the right way, hard and with intensity, as any player should. To say that he is the dirtiest player in the game right now (which you repeat at the end) I think is inaccurate and a disservice. He might have been at one time, but he isn't today. He is a different player.
We do love him he’s a great person I think he’s been able to mature a lot and it shows he’s the leader of the team and he’s taken a big step in the right direction and hopefully he helps us win it all this year!
A lot of these kids look up to these MLB players as an example of what they want to be. When they grow up, it’s a shame these players don’t live up to that, they are so disappointing and this is the reason why I’m turning against baseball
Tell it to Machado. He is a non-stop crier. I agree with others that he is a fabulous talent...which makes it even more pathetic that he is so dirty and cries all the time. I especially love how he celebrates very loudly and brashly but becomes uber-thin-skinned when the shoe is on the other team's foot. Good player. Spoiled brat.
@@wm_9640 I understand what you're saying. My point still stands. Not everyone learns from their mistakes and matures, so in general, we want people to do this, it shows that a person can grow/learn. Otherwise if you never forgive someone for their past, people are less likely to mature and learn from past mistakes.
Lots of players sharpened their cleats back then for traction. I heard that too, but then saw a documentary that said it wasn't true about him trying to hurt people
The way a former team talks about a player says a lot about them. The Braves love Freddy Freeman, and their fans gave him a standing ovation when the Dodgers played in Atlanta after he moved to the Dodgers. With Manny, it's clear that the Dodgers couldn't be happier that he's no longer on their team.
Albert Belle was a linebacker who played baseball but he wasn't dirty. He was just physical. I could see if you mentioned the corked bat incident because that was clearly cheating, but if it was about that, this list would be a couple dozen players long and include Sammy Sosa as well.
MLB needs to start punishing pitchers the same way they punish the batters. A pitcher throws at someone's head, season long suspension no questions asked. A pitcher throws at a batter more than once in a single at-bat, 10 games. And I don't mean 10 games for the team, I mean the pitcher is out for 10 games they would have played in. Starters would be out for half the season.
The Aguilar thing was way too far. If I was Aguilar I would have found after the game and fought him no questions asked. It’s just hard to get someone by them self so you can fight without witnesses.
At this point baseball needs to be a VR sport. No one’s allowed to have fun. You make millions but don’t have the athleticism or field awareness to dodge someone trying to break up a double play. Either let both sides play or just don’t play at all.
I can only speak to his time in San Diego. As a Padre, he has really been solid. He has averaged around .280 with 30+ home runs and 100+ RBIs. He is an amazing defensive player with great hands and a rocket for an arm. He makes a lot of plays look a lot easier than they really are. He also brings a confident fiery edge to the Padres that has been missing over the years. The guy wants to win and delivers when it counts. I like that he does not like to lose. I believe that he has also matured quite a bit since coming to the Padres. He show up in top physical shape and ready to play. He is the current leader for the Padres and what is needed to compete with the best in the NL West.
Everything you've said about Manny is solid. However, your assessment does not change his "dirty" play of the past that got him voted "DIRTIEST PLAYER" by HIS PEERS!!!! Sad to see his energy channeled in such a negative manner. Although not "dirty", Yasiel Puig comes to mind as another talent that was tarnished by his character.
When the former sitting vice-president, and current president uses his office to get his crack addicted son a job as an "Advisor" for a firm thats currently lobbying the US government you deserve to be ridiculed.
Sounds fishy to me - I'm in San Diego and Manny is loved here by players and fans. Whatever his past transgressions were, he seems to have grown out of that and became an actual team leader
I’m a lifelong Dodgers fan and I was disgusted when the Dodgers picked him up in that trade but very happy when they didn’t re-sign him in the off season. San Diego was perfect for him. Trash player for a trash organization.
Alex Rodriquez was never a dirty player ok, slapping the glove? so f ing what? an unusual thing to do but not dirty. When Machado stepped on that first basemans ankle that time told me all I need to know about him.
"If I hit someone with a bat, I'll get suspended for a year but if they hit someone with a ball they only get suspended for 2 games." Like, yeah? That seems totally fair to me, my dude.
It is…. Tatis got into a fight with the third base coach Bobby Dickerson, not manny. Manny stepped in to stop it and yelled at him that they need him in the game in order to win. Not that hard to understand
@@haseongpresident5327 so many better ways to handle that than screaming at your teammate for the world to see. Like it’s definitely an attempt at being a leader

He had a dirty slide into 2nd and he reached 3rd, I had 1st row right at 3rd base and yelled at him about his dirty slide and he was visibly pissed..never the less a bit later he smashed a HR that had to be one of the longest ever lol and pointed me out turning 3rd base... to bad he went all diva long after that
LOL.... at a Tennessee Oilers 1997 game I yelled something about 36 year old Henry Ellard age during player introductions & that pizzed him off
dude caught 2 TDs both in my endzone LOL... Oilers won easily though. Still funny to me
Manny’s a cool dude, he just reacts to quick.
I agree. A little too impulsive. If he's not just an irredeemable narcissist, I think he'll mature and become well liked in the second half of his career.
Well, if any of us played with him, we could say he's cool. But the entire league voted that he was was the dirtiest. They played with him.
9:06 Machado and others were breaking up an argument between Bobby Dickerson and Tatis.
Finally someone speaking facts!
The interaction between Manny and Tatis was good for the Tabloids and Non Padres fans. Of course, Padres fans know it was about Tatis thinking about the team and not himself.
Growing up a MARLINS FAN??? ...wait...WHAT? They have those???
I understand why a lot of people don't like machado, but I feel like he has matured a lot his last 2 to 3 seasons and hasn't really had many if any notable events since he's been with the Padres. I would go as far as to say he's normally pretty respectful despite still getting a lot of hate for his old antics.
You’re assuming these people even watch baseball lol that was your first mistake
The guy is a padres fan, he has said it in several of his videos.
Who are you talking about or what game specifically? I'm very curious
Machado has really matured and you can’t deny that
You mean he's cleaned up his public image? If I get in constant trouble because I keep cursing in front of my grandparents, it doesn't mean that I've stopped cursing: I just don't curse when my grandparents are around.
Machado LOVES attention, and realized he had a ton of bad attention. People don't change at his age.
@@KC-bg1th what bad things on or off the field has he done that was negative or showing if his old aggressive and angry self… tell me
Considering that players today seem to play ball only for the money, Manny has made the big bucks, but he also plays hard to win. Back in the day, Manny wouldn't have been unusual for playing hard ball.
I fail to see how Manny's slide against Pedroia was dirty, yeah he came in hard but he clearly didn't mean to injure him. He then got thrown at in like 3 to 4 more at bats including the mentioned one at his head so he has a reason to be upset there
He spiked the back of his calf bro. Fully intentional
He pulled his foot up, and put in right into his leg intentionally
He’s literally staring at his right foot as he plunges it into his leg lol

In my opinion I believe he’s matured once he got to San Diego cause people gotta remember he was pretty young when he made his debut and I’m sure he’s at that age now where he’s starting to mature more and more as he gets older
How is he maturing?
@@andrewbathish9265 you mature as you get older it’s natural
@@xo_Shadow I mean yea but have u seen any of that maturity. Still seems the same maybe a little more calm I guess
@@andrewbathish9265 well there you go
@@andrewbathish9265 my guy... the incidents don't happen at all anymore and hes calmed down... That is called maturing.
He being with SD helped him become more mature.
Albert "don't call me Joey" Belle. 😂
He has been great this year. No issues so far. SD loves him.
We do love him he’s a great person I think he’s been able to mature a lot and it shows he’s the leader of the team and he’s taken a big step in the right direction and hopefully he helps us win it all this year!
@@Juan-rm8kf your comment sounds so fake lmao either you're a cult member or a bot

@@iTalkStudios Lol they're using their love for a team as a justification for shitty actions. Crazy to see.
A lot of these kids look up to these MLB players as an example of what they want to be. When they grow up, it’s a shame these players don’t live up to that, they are so disappointing and this is the reason why I’m turning against baseball
and football?
He’s an all right baseball player some things he does is uncalled for but remember there’s no crying in baseball
There's plenty of crying in baseball. First thjng that comes to mind is Dee Gordon's HR after JoFer died
He’s actually a good baseball player
Tell it to Machado. He is a non-stop crier.
I agree with others that he is a fabulous talent...which makes it even more pathetic that he is so dirty and cries all the time. I especially love how he celebrates very loudly and brashly but becomes uber-thin-skinned when the shoe is on the other team's foot.
Good player. Spoiled brat.
he has done a great job of calming the rage monster within
Machado was pretty dirty back then but he has matured in SD
Too little too late
@@wm_9640 So when someone learns from their mistakes and matures, by the age of 25/26, you say it's "too late"? Seems pretty childish to me lol
@@dizzydwarf502 no, I mean he already rubbed so many fans the wrong way that theres no reconciling
@@wm_9640 I understand what you're saying. My point still stands. Not everyone learns from their mistakes and matures, so in general, we want people to do this, it shows that a person can grow/learn. Otherwise if you never forgive someone for their past, people are less likely to mature and learn from past mistakes.
@@wm_9640 not even close! SD loves Manny!!!
I'd like to see Albert Bell try that shit with Frank Thomas or Bo Jackson.
Read somewhere that Ty Cobb sharpened his spikes for the sole purpose of sliding into whoever was covering second base.
Lots of players sharpened their cleats back then for traction. I heard that too, but then saw a documentary that said it wasn't true about him trying to hurt people
No actual evidence of this speaking of Cobb
The way a former team talks about a player says a lot about them. The Braves love Freddy Freeman, and their fans gave him a standing ovation when the Dodgers played in Atlanta after he moved to the Dodgers. With Manny, it's clear that the Dodgers couldn't be happier that he's no longer on their team.
Albert Belle was a linebacker who played baseball but he wasn't dirty. He was just physical. I could see if you mentioned the corked bat incident because that was clearly cheating, but if it was about that, this list would be a couple dozen players long and include Sammy Sosa as well.
Manny Machado says the F word like 20 times in the interview about the slide into padrora😂
Of course, Premier douche bag. That's why the fans show up: To watch your collection of AAA replacement players.
That's not what the argument was about with Jr.
If this is dirty then baseball is softtttttttt
Strikes again...
Machado cursed out my friend Jett while asking him for an autograph
The Aguilar thing was way too far. If I was Aguilar I would have found after the game and fought him no questions asked. It’s just hard to get someone by them self so you can fight without witnesses.
dawg what💀, soundin like a psycho rn
good point on Chris Sale. He made that weasel look like a little leaguer. He's not just a cheap shot artist he's a mama's boy.
Manny changed since he came to SD
Throwing a glove and hat such a typical celebration 😭
He’s one of the players that you love him if he’s on your team and hate him if he’s not
As a Padres fan I love manny to death
Nope. I didn't love him when he was on the Dodgers. He is a piece of shit person when he isn't the center of attention.
Just saw the title and knew it was going to be about Machado
I met manny once after a game and he was a really cool humble dude who took the time to talk to a fan
He's a 200 career post season hitter and 167 with the padres ... Hardly clutch when it counts
@@michaellucas669 Gonna be a HOF someday lol, hater

Everything you've said about Manny is solid. However, your assessment does not change his "dirty" play of the past that got him voted "DIRTIEST PLAYER" by HIS PEERS!!!! Sad to see his energy channeled in such a negative manner. Although not "dirty", Yasiel Puig comes to mind as another talent that was tarnished by his character.

At the 3:17 mark, that guy Manny has got some goofy looking ears. Where is the career ending dirty play by Manny in here?

I am shocked that my Manny Machado baseball card doesn't have a picture of his face with a board with numbers under his chin
When you disrespect the President of the United States, in a very tasteless manner then that says everything you need to know about Manny.
When the former sitting vice-president, and current president uses his office to get his crack addicted son a job as an "Advisor" for a firm thats currently lobbying the US government you deserve to be ridiculed.
Will never be convinced the Pedroia slide was "unintentional." Total BS.
So if you throw at a guys head, and he gets mad, he's a dirty player?
Manny Machado, the DIRTIEST player in baseball.
My son lives in San Diego and has season tickets. He will tell you the Padres have a third baseman, but he won’t name him, and that tells it all!!!!
Sounds fishy to me - I'm in San Diego and Manny is loved here by players and fans. Whatever his past transgressions were, he seems to have grown out of that and became an actual team leader
3:13 That's a nice charge and solid, first fist connection.
This is such a reach 😂😂😂
I’m a lifelong Dodgers fan and I was disgusted when the Dodgers picked him up in that trade but very happy when they didn’t re-sign him in the off season. San Diego was perfect for him. Trash player for a trash organization.
Alex Rodriquez was never a dirty player ok, slapping the glove? so f ing what? an unusual thing to do but not dirty. When Machado stepped on that first basemans ankle that time told me all I need to know about him.
A Rod was hated cause of the money he earned

"If I hit someone with a bat, I'll get suspended for a year but if they hit someone with a ball they only get suspended for 2 games." Like, yeah? That seems totally fair to me, my dude.
I think its actually comical that people think it was good leadership and maturity from Manny when he yelled at Tatis lol
It is…. Tatis got into a fight with the third base coach Bobby Dickerson, not manny. Manny stepped in to stop it and yelled at him that they need him in the game in order to win. Not that hard to understand
