  • Installed and wired tail lights on the back of the boat so the lights wont get broken at some of the ramps we use, like they would if the lights were on the trailer.

    Hey, if you add another blinker circuit to inside the boat you could start a real rend with turn signals and brake lights on a boat! You’re so avant-garde!

      Lol. There is a way you can wire up 12v L.E.D. strip lights to dance with the beat of the music. I bet I could do that with the tail lights also! Just unplug it from the truck at the boat ramp and plug it into another 12v system on the boat to make the lights dance with the music. Lol I might have to check into this. Great idea yall! The L.E.D. strip lights Im going to be putting down each side of the pontoon actually come wired that way, but Im bypassing that feature and just wiring them directly to a switch so they glow a solid blue around the boat at night. Thanks for watching yall! 🍻

    Nice job using solder and heat shrink. I like the idea of putting the lights on the trailer. Only thing I would change is not using the boat as a ground. It will help in causing electrolysis and corrosion.

      Hey Pops thanks for watching! Its good thinking on your part about the electrolysis. We will see how it goes. Ive done this to a few other pontoons with no problem though. Thank you for watching!

      Hey thanks for watching! Yeah the other houseboat will probably be up for sale soon. I just gotta put new tires on the trailer and repack the bearing hubs. Take it easy! 🍻

    Why didn’t you run the back wires thru the lower square rail?? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

    • @zacksrandomprojects9698
      @zacksrandomprojects9698  2 года назад

      Good catch Ray! I actually did pre-drill the rail for the wires to go through, but the wires were too fat to fit through the hole! I woulda had to take all the railing back off of the boat and then drill the hole bigger, then bolt the railing back to the boat, etc..I couldnt enlarge the hole with the railings bolted on because of the size of my drills. I couldnt drill from underneath because the pontoon tube is in the way of the drill. Im eventually gonna have aluminum sheet on the inside of the railing and I will pop a little slot in the bottom of the sheeting for the wires to go through. Im also gonna get another tank for the port side that is just like the fuel tank on the starboard side. The wires will be hid behind the tanks. Thanks for watching!
