    Eli and Favre were polar opposites. Eli would look like shit then come through in the clutch and win big games, whereas Favre would play like a stud all game and always throw an interception at the worst possible time with the season on the line lol.

      @@60BloodyChamp60 How many Packers/Vikings playoff games ended because of an interception at the worst possible time? I'm not saying he was bad, he was one of the greatest in the game, he just had a habit of throwing INTs at the worst possible time in playoff games.

      @@jeffc1347 well more than any Giants playoff games did because they didn’t even make the playoffs half the time. Meanwhile if we’re going to tack on the Vikings year let’s not forget Favre’s replacement had a little turnover of his own to lose the Packers playoff game that year.

    Everyone remembers the two GREAT Super Bowl wins over the Pats - what some fans forget are two of the greatest playoff runs in the history of the NFL. They beat the Packers - TWICE, Favre and Rodgers. They beat the Cowboys on the road. They beat the 49er's on the road in one of the toughest, most brutal games you'll ever see. Eli Manning is a HOF'er without ANY doubt.

    • @matthewgallagher1761
      @matthewgallagher1761 3 года назад +9

      @Ryan Irwin- Diehl I didn't state he was better than Rodgers and Ben, I just said he was a Hall of Famer, which he is. You don't follow the Giants, obviously - they were 10-0 in 2008 and on their way back to the Super Bowl - for the second straight year - before Plaxico Burress shot himself. And Manning had years where the Giants put a horrible offensive line around him and few weapons. You can't even name a top receiver or running back they had during too much of his career. He was one of only a few in NFL history - to twice be named MVP of the Super Bowl. And he was a class act throughout his entire career. And, as I wrote, name me a QB who - TWICE - took their teams to the Super Bowl with playoff runs like he had. On the road. Against all the top QB's - and he beat every one of them. Including Brady - TWICE.

    My daughter was almost one sleeping in the remote rocker next to me during this game. I was on call for the night. In regards to Tynes I Did not have faith in him hitting that OT kick because of earlier miss. Needless to say after that kick, I couldn’t contain myself at 11:30 or whatever time it was and screamed and yelled for joy waking the whole house up. Needless to say my wife was pissed and I got stuck taking her shift taking care of my baby for the rest of the night. Totally worth it. Can’t believe she is in HS now. Time flies.

      I disagree. I think the 49ers game easily unseats this as the biggest Packers playoff upset. I mean people thought they didn’t even have to play the 49ers game. Nobody thought the Giants would win this game but they still had to go out and play it. Then the Packers go out and can’t even outscore the 49ers kicker.

    Imagine how many more games Favre would’ve won in those later years if instead of heaving up horrible passes in situations that ironically for his cannon arm almost always were under thrown and got picked he had instead threw the ball away when he had another down to try and move the ball. The first one is on 1st down and he gets bailed out and the OT one was on 2nd down. I imagine that has to be the worst part if you were a fan. A desperation throw for a miracle when you have to score or you lose and it’s fourth down so there’s nothing to lose is one thing but the way he’d toss them when he had more downs if he would’ve chose to live for the next play had to have been maddening.

In the playoffs, in frigid temps, the more physical team that can run the ball will almost certainly win all all the time.

    This is no longer the biggest upset loss in Packers playoff history. That now belongs to Fraudgers and his inability to outscore the 49ers special teams.

    I hate both teams for obvious reasons. But I quite enjoyed that NFC championship.
