  • This was a shocking upset when the New York Giants Defeated the Green Bay Packers 37-20 in the 2011-2012 NFC Divisional round of the playoff on the way to their victory in super bowl 46 against the patriots for the second time in 4 years. The 2011-2012 Green Bay Packers have been the only team in nfl history to go 15-1 then lose their first playoff game, in other words, 15-1 and done.

I don't know what you're talking about. The Giants offensive line was terrible that year. McKenzie and Diehl were way past their prime. The only reason why they even look remotely good was because the Green Bay defense was utter garbage that year and couldn't generate a pass rush to save it's life. It's ultimately what did them in.

I hear that the refs screwed the giants on that fumble by the packers and said he was down wtf was that wtf were the refs looking at. If the giants lost that game it would of been the refs fault just like the refs screwed the Steelers and Texans against the pats when the pats were suppose to lose but refs bail out Brady and belichick again but I try and tell pats masshole fans that and they don't see it cause new England pats fans are the most cockiest biased hypocritical fans ever going all the way back to 2001 snow job against the raiders.

To watch this game and see the outrageously bad calls going against the Giants made me realize that indeed the fix was in. Oh, but that joyous Giant team rose to the occasion and curb stomped this celebrated 15-1 team, and after they did that, I jumped on their bandwagon and rode it all the way to their beautiful victory over my SECOND most despised team, the New England Patriots. Man, 2011 was a good year.

Lol, I'm not a Giants fan, but damn. I'm convinced that Tom Coughlin is a genius. Earlier that season, the Giants faced these Packers in Week 13. It was an epic shootout where the Giants lost by 3 points. Game ended 38-35. It's Crazy they went from losing to the Packers at home by 3 to crushing them on their turf in the Playoffs by 17 points. What's even more crazy is how you could compare it to 2007. It's eerily similar to when the Giants faced the Patriots in the regular season and lost 38-35 as well and went on to beat them in the Super Bowl.

It's so blatantly obvious that the referees in this game were out of their ever loving minds, and that said, this has to go down as one of the most improbable victories in NFL history, even more than the Giant's win over the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl in 2007. To go into Lambeau field and beat a packer team that lost ONE single game all season, AND had a first round bye in the playoffs, and deal with a ridiculously biased referee group, you've climbed and conquered a mountain that so few football teams could have ever done.

I've seen worse officiated games than this but this has to be up in my Top 10 worst officiated games. I'm all about my team winning in the interest of fairness and too many times during this game the refs changed the flow and got the Packers at least within striking distance of the game and putting Coughlin in tough situations to challenge or not challenge a call. Bryson Holley agreed, the NFL has financial incentive to rig games against the Packers so teams from big cities win.

2 bad fumble calls and a horrible roughing the passer call and the Giants still managed to win

The only reason this game isn’t known as one of the worse reffed games ever is because the Giants won. If GB had won this game would be remembered as a complete screw job. As a Vikings fan I am used to watching GB get all the calls but this was ridiculous even for them.

Rusty Shackleford Do you mean like the Jerry Rice fumble that inexplicably wasn’t? Or the uncalled face mask by the Cardinals? Or the Fail Mary?
