Man. This just makes me sad. Woodson, hawk, nick Collins, Finley, driver, Jennings James Jones... So many greats. I can't help but feel we left a few super bowls on the table...
@Makaveli they seem fine today. 3-0, fifth-most points in the NFL's Super Bowl era through the first three games of the season with 122. That's behind only the 1968 Cowboys (132 points), 2013 Broncos (127), 1966 Cowboys (127) and 2015 Cardinals (126). 43 vs Vikes, 42 vs Lions, 37 vs Saints... Not too shabby...
It was inexcusable what the Packers front office allowed to happen to that defense. If they even had a middle of the road defense they would have gone undefeated and never been challenged.
This team is the biggest reason I dont hedge bets or declare winners during the regular season on sb champions. I was still pretty young when the 2007 Patriots happened so this is the team that made me that way, even as Bears fan I knew this team was very good, and thought they were for sure going back to back. And then the playoffs happened.
@@RYMAN1321 don’t forget about the regular season game they played late in the season. People forget that the Giants came the closest to beating the the Packers prior to their loss to the Chiefs. That’s why I wasn’t as shocked as everyone else when the Giants upset the Packers in the divisional, even though just like you I didn’t pick a win by double digits
cant help but notice how many of these highlights were rodgers connecting with finley. We need a productive tight end more than ever for the 2020 season.
Why does everyone forget about Nelson? Rodgers to Nelson, Finley, Cobb, and Jennings were what made the winning plays. Driver and Cobb made some good runs, too. The sheer number of times that Rodgers connected with Jordy was insane. He made a huge impact when he left. I'm not even a Packers fan, and I remember how many times Rodgers had either a TD pass to Nelson, or a huge first down pass to him. Now, he needs more receivers like he had back then with versatility. I don't think he is getting that anymore.
What a year. Not even a Packers fan but that was such a good year for football. Should've been the Patriots and Packers in the SB but the Giants had other plans lol
Awesome video Kree. This season was so promising and ended so badly...it still makes me sick today. Unfortunately, I believe it was coaching that failed the Packers in the Giants game.
It wasn’t just the receivers then. Finley was a force. It was unfortunate how his career cut short. Grant and Stark were productive. Defense gave up lots of yards and points but created takeaways and scored. Run defense was actually OK (do I dare say good). Return game was a threat, too. Not sure how we lost to Chiefs then. Still beat Lions with Flynn. He made some great throws. It could’ve been a 16-0 season. It definitely should have been a deep run in the playoff. There were many key injuries the year before. That year was relatively healthy. Many good players at their prime. Was a narrow window for a back to back championships. Too bad. Actually optimistic about 2020 season if there is one. Some the young receivers should break out and take things to the next level. Back then Packers throw crazy amount of back shoulder fades and they were unstoppable. TEs May become relevant again in passing game. Maintain productive ground game. Hopefully, the run defense is shored up a bit. Can make a deep run again.
In my opinion 2014 was Rodgers best team to not win a super bowl. Yeah 2011 was great because of the record but 2014 they were a more balanced team. Think about it, Rodgers was MVP, Jordy and Randall earned their first pro bowls, Eddie Lacy had won rookie of the year prior, the defense ranked 14th. 2014 was Rodgers best team to not win it and if they had beaten Seattle, Packers would have beaten Brady again. And Rodgers would have had 2 weeks rest to heal the calf injury he had. Also I live in Arizona and the super bowl was in Phoenix and I would have gone to see Aaron but it didn't happen 🙃
I was at the Playoff game against Giants - Defense was horrible as they were all year. This gets overlooked by most fans. White by this time was clearly ailing all season a non factor and for the most part Pack had no pass rush. I believe the Packers with new defensive coordinator in 2024 will have their best defense since 2010
Seattle Seahawks native here with the first 👍🏽 and comment. But I'm a Kree Sub too! Do what you do cousin, always support here. For not my team this was still a dope clip set. See y'all on the 12th.
I'll never understand why the packers stuck with capers and even mccarthy for as long as they did. After 15-1 and 1 and done, followed by blowing a 1st bye by losing wk17 in 2012 then 2 weeks later having kaepernick run wild over us u think GB wouldve sensed there was issues on Def? Imagine if GB hired fresh minds in 2013 or 14? Maybe even built a defense again...man smh..so many rings pissed away
That defense should've been way better than they were that was a top 5 unit the game just pasted dom capers and the defense as a unit couldn't get right
Yup. And they had all season to study us too. Shame but hey, what a good year. And we are 8-3 right now so that's sweet too! Commenting from Wisconsin, Go Pack Go!
Well, we had the number one offense in 2021, so it wasn't so bad. It went to number seven in 2022, but we just hired Brian Schottenheimer, so we will see how that goes. The Packers need more receivers with versatility, and a better defense. They aren't giving Rodgers the receivers he needs to make plays. They are messing up his rhythm with whatever offensive style they are trying to do now. They need to let him play the way he is used to playing. I don't know if Rodgers is returning, but if he is, I hope for the sake of the fans in Green Bay, they get another Super Bowl win with him at the helm.
A great video including the choke in KC the only one the chief coach will ever be remembered for. Since they are one of the most cheating teams in pro football history next to the Seahawks.
