The wife and I just bought this exact vehicle last week. Same color and everything. We love it, and it was $10,000 less than the Kia Telluride. Got 30 mpg highway, too.
My husband and I have been driving Mazda for about 6-7 years. The one that we have right now is cx9 2022 and this year we are getting this one in exact same color platinum metallic quartz which I fell in love with instantly! In terms of driving and comfort so far it’s one of the best( even amongst luxurious cars)! Therefore we only wanted to change the color but never considered of changing the model😊
My wife bought a 2024 Mazda CX-90 Preferred Plus last week, she absolutely loves it and she got the Greige interior and it’s absolutely beautiful inside and out.
The Cx 90 prefered plus I am buying has listed on the stickers hybrid electric engine, however the car is not advertised as a hybrid. It was not mentioned here either. Why?
I have a cx50 premium, you can turn on the touchscreen full time function, it’s just embedded in the menu, not too hard to find, unlike every other manufacturers had it on default, mazda turned it off just to prove their point.
Love it! I’ve seen so many other videos for comparing other new model SUV’s and this one definitely rates towards the top for many reasons! Planning on buying one soon 😁
Goodbye Mazda, Hello Toyota. After five in a row Leased CX-9 grand touring, I think Toyota GH has a better choice. Primary reason is a limited choice of a bench seat in the second row across of all trims. Mazda used to be the easy car to buy or lease. Not anymore with 9 trims.
Tom, how smooth is this when starting from a dead stop, and in bumper-to-bumper traffic? Someone who recently drove the Grand Highlander after the CX-90 said the GH is much smoother in these situations. He speculated it was because of the wet plate clutch that Mr. Coleman decided to spec vs a regular torque converter. The mild hybrid is supposed to take care of any of these sorts of issue with the electric motor providing off-the-line grunt. Perhaps they need a higher output electric pancake motor? Or did you not have any issues with this? Thanks for your reviews, I really appreciate them.
I did not have any issues to speak of although I would like to be able to compare the CX-0 to Grand Highlander. As soon as a Grand Highlander is available at the local Toyota dealership I will make a video and find out. I appreciate your comment and your taking the time to watch my video.
@@VehicleVisionary Thank you for responding; I enjoy your videos. When you mentioned you race cars, that really intrigued me! I used to drag race on grudge nights, but never road racing. Props to you!
Very good review! I really enjoyed it! Everything is good about this trim except that 19inch rim...size is perfect but the style so plain... can't they select a better looking one?
@@VehicleVisionary Thanks for the information. Are all Mazda engines direct injection only? Do they suffer from the carbon buildup you can find in youtube videos? Any thoughts on why Mazda would design a new engine without dual injection (besides the obvious - cost)? I'd rather pay a little more upfront for dual injection than the maintenance costs to clean it later. Or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? Could you please educate us (those reading this comment anyway) on DI only vs dual injection?
This car falls flat for me on practicality. Best in class road manners, gorgeous interior but worst in class cargo space and a non competitive third row make it a non starter for my next family car which is a shame because I wanted to love it. I don't understand how Mazda continues to lag so far behind in packaging. This car has less cargo room behind the first row than a CRV despite being longer than a Pilot or Telluride.
I hear you regarding cargo space, however because it is a RWD design, you get the long hood, leaving less room for interior space. It's a standard RWD design tradeoff. It's already quite long so adding even more length to get more cargo space would make it a difficult sell. Having said that, I agree with what you're saying. My biggest beef is the lack of the availability of a 2nd-row bench seat in the Turbo S trims.
How are you comparing apple to orange? the Mazda CX90 is a mid size where the CR-V is a small size and only 2 row seatings. You can compare the new Pilot vs the CX90 as the Pilot offer a little more interior space but the styling of the CX90 design for longer hood.
You are comparing it to the wrong cars that’s why. This is closer to an Audi Q7 than a cheapo Highlander. It’s right online with the Luxury 3 rows in terms of space.
Currently an Audi Q7 owner. We use the third row seats one time/year. The third row lives in folded position, and when our Joy Red/White Napa CX-90 arrives, I look forward to even more cargo space than in the Audi.

I applaud the lack of piano black plastic on the center console! Way to go Mazda!

I agree we just got one as well same color and we love it so much! 💯

Well paced and filmed, very informative. Good job.

I seen one of these on the road for the first time a few days ago. It was very stunning in person!

Got one 2 weeks ago and never been happier 😊
What trim did you get

I really like your vids Tom & I buy this one day.
How is the acceleration onto freeways? My Daughter-in-law had a CX-5 and it was grossly underpowered

Thank you for "breaking out the tape measure".
are those nappa leather seats? or those cheaper leather seats?

Does it need premium fuel?
No, it does not need premium fuel. You will get the best gas mileage with premium fuel, but it is not required. You can run regular.
Tom, do you know whether the I6 has direct injection only, or also port injection? I can't find anything on this anywhere!
It only has direct injection.

Mazda's no touch info screen always put me off from considering that model.
At 6:30 did you mean 29-1/2"?
I thought the same thing.
Thanks!
No problem!
Wife also have one one week ago and she doesn't let me drive anymore je je je je
No one cares about those useless oversized touch screens, great job mazda. 👌

This has more interior space than my lx600
