      That is a small suv .is not that big like a 2016 traverse. Or a chevy tahoe or a ford expedition..is even smaller than a 2022 ford explorer..is like the size of a toyota highlander or dodge journey .

    Excellent review of the 8seat CX-90. Your Interior review is especially helpful as most reviews are in 6 and 7 seat models. IF a family has kids older than 8yrs who will be in the 3rd row, then the bench seat in second row is very important because the second row bench opens up important 3rd row foot room! Few people realize that the 2rd row Capt chairs rob 50% of the 3rd row foot room! Even worse with the center console in the 2nd row...almost nowhere to put feet. Most CX-90s with 2nd row capt chairs DONT have the center console, so your inside foot can stretch into that space (luckily). Your review of the interior seating in this video is very good, thanks!

    This is the best review I have watched. Thanks for all the information. I am in the process of purchasing the Mazda CX-90 Preferred Plus. (Just waiting on a slow boat from Japan) I can hardly wait!! I'm switching from a 2017 Toyota Prius; I'm only worried about the much larger gasoline bill I'm going to incur, but looking forward to all the extra room and power!!

    Great walk through! I especially loved your quick look at the engine compartment.
    Would you be able to throw it up on a rack and give a walk through of powertrain configuration from the underside perspective? Us nerds are curious!

    Thanks for the review of the '24 CX90! Its on my shortlist. Question: does the CX90 have competant lane centering tech? We are looking for a vehicle that has excellent lane centering + adaptive cruise for roadtrips. Thank you.

    • @jadonatmazda
      @jadonatmazda  Год назад +1

      I can confirm the lane centering is boosted up a bit compared to the out going 9. It does a really nice job, however in the turns sometimes it lags a little. Other than that I’d give it a solid 8/10.

    • @R56Cooper
      @R56Cooper Год назад +1

      @Jadon At Mazda HI Jadon! Thanks for this update! Glad to know that the new CX90's lane centering has an 8 out of 10. Most lane centering systems do have to be monitored carefully during any turns-- glad that it handles the straightaways with ease. Looking forward to test driving the CX90! One more question: does Mazda allow the lane centering to be on regardless if the adaptive cruise is turned on or off? Thanks!

      @Pierre Ghobrial HI Pierre, thanks for the info--That's great news that lane centering works independently. Does the lane centering keep the CX90 centered in its lane reliably? How competant is the lane centering system? Thanks.

  • @jsfbay1

    To answer your closing question, yes, this is on my short list. Very nice job Mazda :-)
    Does anyone know if this engine uses a timing belt, chain, or gears? I don't think any reviewer has mentioned this yet. Also, is it direct injection or port and direct injection? Because I keep my cars 10+ years, these two things are issues for me.
    Regarding the infotainment screen, doesn't it become a touch screen when using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay?
    I agree that it is a shame that I can't get a 2nd-row bench seat in the upper trim levels. What's up with that? This one issue will probably cause me to have to cross this off my list 😞which is sad because I *really* like this vehicle!
    One last question - is there a way (in a menu, or via a switch somewhere) to turn off the piped-in engine sound? I prefer to hear the induction noise without supplementation.

    • @jadonatmazda
      @jadonatmazda  Год назад +2

      A couple of answers:
      This engine runs off of a timing chain, yes you can use the screen as a touchscreen via CarPlay and you can do so while in motion, and lastly to my knowledge the engine noise isn’t adjustable. However, mazda engines naturally are pretty loud so I think that’s all motor you’re hearing!

    Are the engine internals identical between turbo and turbo S? Can I aftermarket flash a higher boost cal to turn a turbo into turbo S?

    • @jadonatmazda
      @jadonatmazda  Год назад +1

      The engine internals are the same, just different tunes. You do have a bigger battery in the turbo s models however for greater electric boost.

    What does the reverse camera look like? This model doesn't have the 360° camera, so it's important to know how much screen real estate does the reverse camera use.
