I think it is because of the underlying truth of the joke.
Love him and hv always liked his voice and how expressive he is
This is the difference at the world class level of stand ups. Chris has a consistent and interesting point of view - even when the jokes don’t land for you, or you disagree with him, it’s still worth listening. There’s a handful at this level, Carlin, Pryor, Louis.
That African-American joke about Elon was hilarious. 😂😂😂
Came here for Luigi jokes. Got one and was then treated with heaps of other funny stuff. C.R. still has it ❤️
Mangione was referenced in various Season 50 skits of American sketch comedy late-night television Saturday Night Live (SNL). In his opening monologue, comedian Chris Rock joked about the capture of Mangione
Chris Rock is just what America needs right now. Astute AF! 💯👌👏
Then why does he have to say every damn thing twice...he sounds like a demented person waking up from a nap. Astute? Im guessing maybe you are as slow as him so you see him as amazing. He needs to take his yellow pill and take a nap.
Oh man he’s so good. He IS one of the comedy greats.
“Elon Musk is African American!” 🤣🤣🤣
@@nealfager8126 you’re funny & that’s perfect ! Thanks ! Oh! The Immigrant with his NOW current documents.. that he is ! 🤨💯☮️ 🤣
He is. Well, technically Afrikaner - American.

His parents owned people and so does he @@Williestyle-RobotechxMacross-x
He is, genius. You realize the native people in south africa werre saved from being eliminated by the bantu when europeans arrived?
The actual GOAT of comedy! What a phenomenal monologue, hit after hit 😅 🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@michellegermaine2942 they gotta bring in the real funny people because let's face it this cast isn't the greatest ... That little set was funny AF and that laugh he's got
"Space-Mex!" 😂😂😂
This is too hilarious😂😂😂😂
You crushed it.. SNL comedy is back ..taking chances, speaking the truth, healing despair through laughter. Thank you Jesus I'll live another day because comedy still exists...
Yup! Unfortunately right wingers can’t do comedy and cry anytime cracks a joke at their expense
No it's not. Chris Rock is not SNL. the cold open was the most cringe skit I have literally ever seen in my life.
Yeah right. Too woke
Awwww woke = intelligence. As y’all say “cry harder”

_Chris Rock needs a new Netflix special!!!_
It would be 1000x better than Rogans
@@TheDazy37 Ew.
Your usage of italics is very awkward.
Nah. He has had plenty. And they've been decreasing in quality since 1996 when he had his only special which got over an 8/10 on IMDB.
HE, HAD ONE ALREADY 😮😂😁
5:55 This is great. Classic Chris 😂😂😂
“Nobody knows how to get rid of people like a South African…”
“JLo’s gonna marry Ben again, just to stay in the country…”
Is one of those jokes you should be horribly offended by, but you probably already forced the air out of your lungs from laughing so hard… 😮 😂
This is Chris is one of the best to deliver it.
Return to normalcy. Hallelujah.
I don’t think I’ve ever watched a monologue twice. Salute, Mr Rock

I also watched it twice !! 😆

A good text that i didn't see for a long time
Chris Rock is far from being the GOAT
@@swaggkidd527 Katt Williams might be in the top 3 with Dave Chappelle being probably my number one.
I'm sure others will disagree but as an internet Auntie definitely top of my list alive.
@@virtuousBelleNCDave number one yes. Katt wud be great but they wouldn’t allow him on mainstream media.
You know a monologue is good when you re-watch it several times. Congratulations Lorne. You created this institution that has given birth to more stars than any other show in TV history because you have been at the helm making sure the best comes out of who you pick to be on SNL. Also thanks Lorne for inviting Chris Rock to do the 50th Anniversary show. He encapsulates true humor and represents a truly funny alumni in the show's history !!!!
Or don’t pick!
True indeed!! Well Said!! ✌🏽🙏🏽
I'm still rewatching it 🤣💯
Congrats Lorne? Lorne should have been fired years ago. Chris even says 50 years but only 25 good ones. Lorne just another old dinosaur that won't give up power, even if it damages his legacy.
@@ejm7637I can't stand Lorne. Dr. Evil himself. He's a big star fkr. And the current business model doesn't work. He has like 25 cast members now. It's too many cooks.
Chris rock back at it again with banger after banger.
“You know how many racists are in my wallet right now?!?”
Wild line, but very funny 😂
A cup of coffee costs 7 grapists! 😂
_Rapist._ *_Rapist!_*
(Pulp Fiction Diner Robbery Scene)
Bandit: "Whi ... Which one is your wallet?"
Samuel L. Jackson: "The one that says BMF on the outside."
Chris Rock: "The one w/ photos of rapists inside."
Pretty sure he said "rapists," but still funny either way 🙂
5:35 As a South African I do appreciate the crowd's "oooohhhh"... 😂😂😂❤❤❤. Thank you! ❤❤
I really thought I was the only South African that watches SNL! I'm so happy to find so many of you here 😂❤️

Chris laid it again and that voice is Iconic
This set was so cool I had to watch it again

I was waiting for Chris Rock to give the twist, and he did.
“Sometimes drug dealers get shot”.. that joke had me dying😂😂😂
"Just in time to get deported" made me choke on my coffee.
Chris Rock is obviously rusty, but he's still one of the funniest stand-ups alive. I will always love this man.
"Baby oil sniffing dogs"😂😂😂
Aside from his last stand up special, this is Chris Rock’s first public TV appearance since that incident at the Oscars. As we can see, he’s still sharp, witty, smart, and funny. Great monologue.
God Bless you Chris Rock and your family.
You make 60's look so good.
Thank you 💜
He’s 59
@lorinichols9996 😆 🤣 I knew somebody was gonna say that.
Okay... 😆 he has until 2/7/25 to be 60.
At our age it really doesn't matter.
Have a beautiful day. 🌞
Happy Holidays 💜
@@sparkle3000 I guess as someone that just turned 60 myself, “60s” sounds like significantly into the 60s, so an exaggeration. 🙃 It made me look up his age, so figured I’d save others the effort….
@lorinichols9996 I was 60 since I was 58. I kept saying I was 60 to get use to the idea.
My daughter kept reminding me, you're 58 mommy.
Now I'm 62 going on 63, had my last cry, made peace with being a senior citizen. 😫 😆
At least we had the best decades, the 70's and 80's.
I cried watching Crooklyn the other day, Brooklyn, NYC was so much fun growing up in.
Then I watched Uncle Drew again.
Those were the best decades.
We look better than these young girls in their 30 and 45's anyway.
Rock on gurl, enjoy whatever time you have left.
It's all about peace, no more drama in our life, miss us with that bs.
@ I do a similar thing approaching a milestone birthday, but more like in my late 50s, I would say “I’m pushing 60” and as my birthday got closer I would start to say “I’m almost 60.” Helps to take away the shock if you get used to it ahead of time. 🙃 Aging is a strange process, but it is a privilege! And you’re right that we did get to grow up in some very fun times! Chris does look great - more like 40s at most! Have a wonderful holiday season! 🙂
