I was looking forward to him roasting Trump a bit more. This fell flat (in Burr's standards) and didn't meet the moment. I thought he could've written something so much more damning.

Agreed. I was shocked by all of the comments before getting to yours saying he "phoned it in" or "did his best". Me and a few friends were laughing the entire time and even went back and re-watched it a few hours later after bar close.
