@LocksleyLennoxfilms I know all about life happening. Lost a business due to that, I'm getting back on the horse now with something else. Your video definitely wants to make me get a Sigma FP though, you have a very beautiful setup. Unfortunately I'm not ready to buy a camera just yet, waiting on tax return which I won't get for another 3 months. I'm sure your camera will be long gone by then. Good luck in whatever future endeavors you have bro.
@LocksleyLennoxfilms Yeah, that's true. My use case is for studio use on a tripod/gimbal or recording cityscape night scenes on a tripod. 4K at 24/30fps is all I need, though 4K 60 is fine if the camera can do it, but 99% of what I want to record I want to have that "cinema look". I'm only considering the Sigma FP because it's full frame which is great for low light and because used ones in great condition can be found for around $1200 to $1300 with a 45mm lens included. Though something like the new 2023 model Canon R8 is also full frame and can be bought as low as around $1,100 new on sale (black Friday deals) and is probably a more well rounded hybrid camera than the Sigma FP, it can even do 4K60 in C-LOG without any crop. Also both the FX30 and Lumix S5ii can be found in certain outlets for under $1,500 new right now due to sales, both of which are probably better than the Sigma FP in a lot of ways. I think I just like the way the Sigma FP looks, especially with the add-ons. It inspires me in a way that most other cameras don't, but I do acknowledge there are better cameras for the price out there. I've been told before in the past to buy the cheapest camera body that will get the job done and to not waste money on features I don't need and save the money for other things like lenses, monitors, etc. I might just end up with the Canon R8 just because of that, even though I don't find it particularly exciting or think it has an attractive body design.

@@03chrisv this is a very niche camera so I think there are other options that are better for most use cases.
@@03chrisv I think cinema dng looks the best on the sigma but that workflow can be difficult for some people.
Sorry friend, but there is a lot of advice that gives bad results.
These ssds have a small capacity, require reloading to other media, and so on.
Everything can be solved much easier)
Successful work and thanks for your advertising work.
What misinformation are you talking about? Is 1tb not enough? 1 hour record time?
@@locksleylennoxvfx,Not only about this.
But 1 Tb is ridiculous for fp, I don’t have such small disks, I use several of 2 and 4 Tb, and then I stack them for direct mounting, without overloading them into the computer.
I can tell you about other questionable decisions.
A rotating screen for fp is evil, you have lost moisture protection for the sake of dubious convenience, which is easily implemented differently.
And so on.
It's your choice, I just want to say that it's far from ideal...
@@UriRa ok buddy. Thanks for the advice. Very productive conversation.
Are you not a native speaker? You consisntelty pronounce OF as OFF when it should be OV.
I am from Jamaica so I guess so.
@@locksleylennoxvfx Oh cool. Well, I guess Jamaica has its own standard version of English then?

@@locksleylennoxvfx Pawel Achtel thinks the FP is better anyway ;)
@@00chilli00 we’ll the sigma fp uses a Sony sensor so in that way I’m still using a Sony product.
