How do you measure your vertical jump?

    • @wilsonpartridge3102
      @wilsonpartridge3102 4 года назад +21

      @@johana4430
Stand with your side to a wall
With your feet flat on the ground, reach the arm closest to the wall as high as possible
Mark the highest spot you can reach. Either put chalk on your fingertips or have a friend mark it with tape
From the same standing position, jump and hit the wall at the highest point of your jump. Mark the spot the same way you did earlier
Try three to five jumps and use your highest one
Subtract your standing reach from your jumping reach to get your vertical jump

    • @clampgod425

Push yourself past your limits everyday to improve. I weigh 95 kg and it very hard for me to lose weight which made me feel I couldn't reach my goal but I did.

i wasn’t able to touch rim whatsoever last year and i was about 6’0, like i was 2-3 inches under. and i was 15. now i’m 16 and i can grab the rim 2-3 inches in. i need to jump around 5 inches higher to be BANGING consistently even when i’m tired. 3-4 to barely make it doe. i want like 8 more doe by like 3-4 months from now. i tried this last year and it helped a bit, i don’t have much space to jump, doe i do it in my basement so the straight vertical jump ones will be difficult for me 2. i’ll just do them randomly during the day smacking my head against the ceiling 😂

I’m extremely short, only 5 feet tall, but I really wanna play volleyball. Yes I understand I can play Libero but I’ve never been good at diving or digging, my vertical is only like a foot and to spike I need at least three feet of air to avoid blocks, gonna try this out to see if it works!

Thank you TLB for this great workout! Is that workout purpose to make these every day in 2 weeks or have some rest days between? I am 34 years old and started play volleyball few years ago and i want to become nice spiker too if needed. I am 5,9 tall and my current vertical reach is about 290cm / 9 feet 6 inches and my goal is touch basketball rim / 305cm / 10 feet. So my first goal is increase about 6 inches. Atm my vertical hop is about 23 inches so not so good but i start and keep working

Last time I was here, this video had 1 dislike. Why dislike the video? is it that you can't do what these guys are doing? Why click on the dam video if you know you're going to put in work? Life isn't simple, just like trying to increase your verticle, it's not easy.

I'm the "Does this work or not" comment you're looking for. Started today and I'll comment on each video my progress.
I'm 5'10" and naturally a bit bouncy. I used to be able to grab rim easy 2 years ago but can barely scrape it with my finger tips now.
I can jump highest off two feet, but come closest to dunking off 1 foot because I'm a right but jump off two feet like I'm a lefty.
    Stay tuned
Edit: I'd highly reccomended doing these stretches pre-workout 👇
