Vert Shock is a total game changer! I went from barely touching the rim to throwing down dunks in just a few weeks. You can find it here while it's still available: ruclips.net/video/XSwHcXpwD0o/видео.html To anyone who wants to increase his vertical jump as well: - Focus on exercises that target the muscles used in jumping, such as squats, lunges, calf raises, and deadlifts. Incorporate both bodyweight exercises and weighted exercises to build strength. - Plyometric exercises help improve the power and explosiveness of your muscles. Include exercises like jump squats, box jumps, depth jumps, and bounding in your workout routine. - Work on your jumping technique to optimize your performance. Practice jumping with proper form, including using your arms to generate momentum and landing softly to reduce impact. See you guys when you reached your vertical jump goals!

Thank you Coach Donny! I became obsessed with Volleyball later in life (early 30's) and your tutorials have helped me so much in visualizing the game and my technique. This has helped me make practice sessions and games so much more valuable and rewarding! Thanks for sharing this video. I salute your hardwork. Thanks a lot. And please can you make a video 'Role of Wrist in spiking'
Great video Coach. Thanks for talking about landing mechanics as well! Only after taking a video of myself spiking did I realize that I was landing in a way that put a lot of stress and soreness on my knees. I'll keep squat-landing in mind next time I practice!
Great video as always coach Donny. As a fairly short outside hitter, I really need my vertical jump to be the highest it can be, I really appreciate these videos, keep up the great work!

Thank you for this! One other detail maybe that would be a part 2 to this video would be where you are transitioning from. Regarding the 3 step approach I am making one mistake: I do everything with my other feet. I am doing everything as you explained but as if I were left handed (I am right handed). Maybe this is natural for me because my left leg has always been the dominant one (also in other sports)? Is it a big mistake? Should I try to re-learn the jumping approach with my other leg? I tried a couple of times but it's really not coming naturally Thanks for the videos, I'm learning a lot from them
it is a mistake because when you're right handed you gotta face the right before you spike, so because you end with right it is unnatural what you end doing. If you end with left as it should be done you would face right naturally Sorry if i write like shi- english isnt my mother language.

It's crazy how much better you can hit the ball given the right technique even though you are jumping the same height...
For sure! That’s why technique is so critical
Agreed. I know shorter players that dont jump as high as taller player, yet still hit better simply because of technique.
Need to try it out. I've always spiked without any run up but makes sense you can get higher with forward momentum so the spike will be harder

How to match perfect timing, I mean when should I start my first step ,
Hello coach. I Always Watch your video before my match, is motivate me a lot!!
Amazing video coach! You explained every important concept so well in such an easy to digest way.
Something I struggle with the most is jumping with intention and full strength in game. I tend hesitate or not push hard or fast enough on the 1st step because I'm too distracted with watching the set.
Is there any way I can train my body to jump with intention and full strength naturally, or does it come down to repetitions and practice?
Remind yourself to the words *"explosive"* and *"exponential acceleration".* You need to *increase speed exponentially* during your approach.
You can't produce the height from medium speed and only the block step and arm swing.
Speed is needed for the second step to actually make this longer leap. Therefore you need to accelerate especially at the point of transition between first and second step. The swing of your leg at second step needs to be an *exponential acceleration.* This applies to the forward and upward swing of your arms at step three as well.
The desire for *"explosion", "exponential acceleration"* and higher speed will distinguish you from average players with only constant acceleration.
Just a question, I know I’m jumping high with good form but I’m letting the ball drop and not hitting at my highest possible point. Any tips to make good higher contact with the ball? Love the videos. Keep them coming!
Try doing your approach with the ball in hand, then release when you would normally hit

Hey coach Donny. Could you do a video about common mistakes when setting?
I've been playing volleyball for some time and recently I started watching your videos to see if I'm doing things correctly and how I can improve.
I tried a couple of times but it's really not coming naturally
Thanks for the videos, I'm learning a lot from them
it is a mistake because when you're right handed you gotta face the right before you spike, so because you end with right it is unnatural what you end doing. If you end with left as it should be done you would face right naturally
Sorry if i write like shi- english isnt my mother language.
