For all knitters... I just want to say, knitting is an amazing hobby, creative, stress relieving, saves money on readymade woollen clothing which is expensive, but most of all, nothing can provide the love and comfort than a knitted warm cap, sweater, socks, cardigan, gloves or shawl more than a homemade knitted warm creation, even if there are tiny imperfections! So arm yourselves with some yarn and needles and start tiny projects you can accomplish.... Keep practicing, keep your loved ones warm and carefully store those needles after every knitting from kids and pets. I still use some of my grandmother's knitting needles! Yes, they do last a long time... So good luck and happy knitting! :D
@@seanspencer1818 Yes... Mine too... :D But the effort is worth it! Try to use an eye cup filled with water to help relax your eyes or wash them gently by splashing with cold water. This helps! Or use a cold eye pad that you can simply put in a refrigerator and relax your eyes with. I am going to buy one for myself too. :)
I recently discovered your channel, and I can't thank you enough. My Grandmother passed away last year and she was incredible at knitting. I wanted to learn how to knit, to learn about what she spent so much time enjoying. I think she would be so happy that I'm carrying it on. Because of you, I have learned SO much. Thank you.
I’ve been intimidated every time I try to knit because I didn’t realize just doing the knit stitch equals a garter stitch, when my goal was to do the look of 1 knit 1 purl row!! Mind. Blown. Thank you for clearing up my years of frustration in less than 4 minutes! #newb
lol same actually, I've been trying to knit since I was in elementary school [I was in a knitting club], and I almost got scared away again about a month ago, but I pushed on and now here I am trying to learn new designs with knit and purl stitching. very exciting adventure, indeed.
I’ve been knitting/ crocheting for maybe 4 years and so far, my favorite knit stitch is the waffle stitch, it’s pretty on both sides AND it’s super stretchy, not to mention it’s really simple
I just want to say how happy I am to have found you guys! My ADHD makes it really difficult for my to do any patterns that involve more than knits and purls. Now I feel like I can knit all sorts of things! I just write the steps on paper, laminate it, then use a post-it note to cover the rows that I've already done. I've made such beautiful things! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for being so informative on the different knitting styles. I will start to try using some of these styles as I knit/crochet "Prayer Shawls" for elderly parishioners at my church who, for health reasons, have become shut ins. I really like these patterns.
Thankyouuu sooo much I am a beginner and was searching for stockinette sticht pattern . I didn't know the pattern name and didn't found it anywhere but your video solved my problem in minutes
I just showed my future mother-in-law how to knit, and I’m so excited to expand my own knowledge base so we can share this together. She’s already looking forward to baby blankets. 😅 I taught my Mom some, but her cancer advanced and she wasn’t able to practice much or get far in her projects. She loved my knitting. My first scarf was for her. She always hoped I’d be able to bond with my mother in law and that wish has come true. I’m so happy to have such an awesome person as her in my life (and the rest of his family!) and all due to my fiancé. Here’s to family bonding and learning new things! 🙌🏻
That is such a sweet family story, Amara, thank you. So sorry for the loss of your mother. Happy knitting is helping you look forward to new bonds and babies!
I go to uni. and sometimes during some of the lectures I’ll see some of my fellow students knit (one time I saw this guy knit the cutest little jumper for his sister’s newborn). It looks so relaxing and I wish to take up on knitting again (my grandmothers taught me how to knit as a child and I would knit with them when I would visit in either of their homes during the summer weeks I stayed with them). I want to get back to the habit of having tea and knitting (I still remember the cosy feeling when I would do it as a kid and it rained outside). *Thank you so much for the video and the inspiration, Studio knit!* / Scandinavian
Made a vest with the chevron stitch and i love it! Now looking for a different stitch for the edges which will probably be the 1x1 row stitch cause my yarn is pretty thick. Thanks for your bright info on the patterns and how they turn out. I appreciate it :)
I am a very bad knitter in the past, after 25 year non knitting your Seed/ Moss Stitch video was prefect I have finished learning it now, Im making a Blanket with your wisdom. Thanks
I just started knitting today after searching through many videos. Your videos are the best I've found. I like how you take your time showing us how to do each step. I can't wait to learn more!
Yes! You had me right away and excited about learning new stitches when I was dreading it! I am so happy I found a great new wholesome person to watch who shares my same hobbies!
I am an experienced knitter. I love this book because it allows me to pick a pattern stitch and incorporate it into whatever item I decide to knit. I don't have to buy a pattern!
I feel so blessed to have come across your channel. Your easy going teaching style and great video tutorials have taken away the previous intimidation I had for trying to learn this hobby. All of your tutorials are great and I’m a soon-to-be student in your Teachable series. I am just trying this at the age of 60 but feel really good about what I have learned following your tutorials. Thank you so much for helping beginners gain confidence❤️
I just recently discovered your channel I am currently a new knitter, I am looking forward to learning the new knitting stiches. I really enjoy knitting! thanks
My daughter calls me "a nervous knitter." I had to take time off from knitting because I got hand pain after knitting a few projects in a row. I've learned the hard way to take breaks, stretch and learn to relax. Good luck and happy knitting!
I am a beginner knitter. Thank you for you tutorials. It really help me learn how to knit. I'm just wondering which patterns that I could use on circular needle? To knit around, like beanie hat.
You have been very helpful in getting me started. Hope to see more knitting techniques like increase & decrease stich, short rows, and a some simple pattern/project involving these techniques.
Learning to knit is making me feel very stressed out. I’ve been “learning” for years and I can’t get it right. How many garter stitch and stockinette scarves can one person make?
I saw your pattern for basket loop I like to do. I would like to knit a blanket for a lap throw and twin bed but how many stitches do I need to cast on! Thankyou I like your videos theyve been very helpful
Kristin enjoy your videos. I was wondering the knit book you advertised is this in PDF only or is there a Spiral bound for sale? I'm new to knitting. Thank you
I thought I was clicking on the written directions for the moss stitch and I got this video. How do I get to the written ones? I am loving this video however and glad I happened to find it.
Hi love your helpful videos! Can you suggest one of your knitted square patterns which has a different look on the reverse side? I am planning to knit in lists of different colours a blanket/throw in squares but don't want the same exact look and would like alternate squares t look different. Hope you can understand this question! Thanks so much for your help and where is your book for sale, I am in the UK. Thank you. Xx Annie Dunn

Is there a pattern out there that I could apply to this pattern.I think garter st. is kind of plain and would love to add some texture. Thank-you
I love your knit work. Why is that when I knit I see these invisible holes and want to rip it. is that normal to see these small see throw holes.
Hi Cynthia
I keep getting loose knit on my last loop when I go to change on my knitting needle and I just can't get it to stay tight and I haven't been able to find info on it? Hope u can help

The last stitch of the row becomes loose when you don't tighten the 1st stitch of the next row. This works because the same thread goes into the next row, so tighten that 1st stitch after you pull off the stitch from the needle. :)
