He hired more technically gifted musicians for Megadeth because he wanted more unpredictability and dual lead guitars (Metallica has a rhythm- lead guitar combo of James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett)... Dave Mustaine was on lead guitar, and so was their first guitarist Chris Poland... their first drummer (the late) Gar Samuelson was a phenomenal drummer who could even play jazz (Lars Ulrich, the drummer of Metallica, was not technically gifted... but he could make a noise on the kit!) Yes Dave Mustaine actually provided the majority of the gear and instruments to get started. He was considered to be out of control by managers and the other members were forced to kick him out of the band. Megadeth is very solid as a band. It's like comparing Peyton Manning to Tom Brady. @johnpsy4129 I'm actually a huge Metallica fan. Mustaine has his place in metal, and he certainly has some great lyrics and music to support a warranted spot in metal. There's an old Metallica video maybe Cliff 'em All where Ulrich tells the entire story of how the band formed. Ulrich is my source and I don't think he'd have reason to fabricate their beginning especially crediting a huge part of their beginning successes to Mustaine. Great video obviously its Metallica. Do watch sometime and you'll enjoy! I've been into Metallica since late 80s and have always regarded them as the best band of metal! Lol mustane didnt provide them with anything they already had their own gear
@@johnpsy4129 you may need to research my friend!
@@jessemontgomery6470 Megadeth fanboys will never cease to amaze me, dont suck mustaine so much
@johnpsy4129 I'm actually a huge Metallica fan. No other band has stood the test of time even through turmoil as they have. Also, I'm not a queer so I don't suck dong!
Those green hoodie guy was really get in "trrrrackkkk" ☺
4 Horseman of the Apocolypse was the very first silent movie to make a million dollars in the mid 20s the great Rudolph Valentino was the star. An extroidinarily well done movie for its time. Not a heavy metal fan but if your into this kind of music I guess this is what you'd listen to.
In my opinion, it's the best (hands down) Metallica song ever! I can't stop listening to it!
HARVESTER OF SORROW by Metallica!!!! You HAVE to do it next!!

And like others have said: their live show in Seattle 1989 is easily their best live show. Check that out if you wanna see them in their angry prime 💪

This is one of their most popular songs and always played at their live shows. I recommend whiplash from this album. It’s pretty much about being at a show and going crazy in a good way

I would love to see you guys react to “To Live Is To Die”, it’s a tribute to Cliff Burton their original bassist! The solos in that song are crazy!
Second bass player, don't forget John Mcgoverny.
@@lonnieisaacs382*Ron McGovney
@@theabsolute23 I know Ron. I thought maybe spell check made it John. It didn't just now, so I guess, in my haste to correct someone else, I should have slowed down and done it wright!
Cliff was awesome though!!!
This has been and always will be the best Metallica song in my opinion
You guys make this music fun again.. Love it.
Metallica is better then megadeth
I cut my metal teeth on guitar in the late 80s playing Metallica tunes! I as 29 at that time. I’m old as dirt and still play. Metallica made me want to seriously play guitar😎😎
Seeing y’all hype in the background jamming is so surreal.
The closing guitar solo is my favorite solo of all time
Hit the lights, Motorbreath, Jump in the fire, Anesthesia (pulling teeth) R.I.P. Clifford Lee Burton 💔

Been waiting for you guys to do this song. This song just absolutely gets you fired up. This is my first play on my workout list.
Salutations Gentlemen,
Thank You.... I feel vindicated for espousing similar impressions way back in 1987, it occurred to me back then; this track was my favorite, being so heavily riffed, with killer solos, nasty lyrics.... and that break midsong.... damn!
Be Well, Cheers, May You All Be Amply Blessed!
10:26, is my favorite part of this video.
Metallica were so raw then. They just got more and more amazing over the next 3 albums
