To actually take this song in to its fullest is to listen to the studio version so you could hear how Cliff played it. Rob is good but the reason this song is so great is Cliff on the bass, it is truly a masterpiece.
Yes, you cannot have the same experience on the first decade of Metallica without Cliff. There's a reason they don't play some older songs live. Some out of respect, others because no other bassist can do what Cliff could.
Couldn't agree more! Rob is excellent, I just don't see him in Metallica, personal opinion, anyone with a different one... good for you! Dang Lars gained a whole person in weight since the 90's!!!
Cliff wrote most of this song. This was his swan song, released roughly 6 months before he passed. He never got to perform it live. I’m glad you guys noticed the “Cliff Burton Day” sign and bothered to look him up. He’s my favorite Metallica member. 🤘🔥🔥🤘
You should listen to the studio version to really appreciate the song. Cliff Burton on bass makes a huge difference. Plus check out Cliff Burton playing the bass solo Pulling Teeth live. Cliff will blow your mind on the bass
You definitely gave me a few ideas for my funeral hopefully it's a long ways away but yes I would pick a Metallica song a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony song Marshall Mathers the goat song a little Wayne song A guns n' roses song and a AC/DC song
When you get a chance listen to anesthesia pulling teeth on kill em all. Then check out the video on S&M2 where the guy from the symphony gets to play it. You know that dude waited his whole life for that moment.
You should check out, “Spit Out The Bone”. It’s off their 2016 album and FULL of energy throughout the entire song. Also a GREAT song to work out to with insane instrumentals
You guys should definitely check out the studio version of this. It's one of Metallica's best ever songs and the live versions, while great sometimes, just don't compare to the original studio version's sound quality imo
You guys should definitely start a band. If you don’t give up you’re bound to succeed! With consistent, intense practice over a lifetime, talent is revealed.
It's 100 times better the studio version, the song that never star and never ends, and orion gives you only 8 minutes of the song but enough to a human. The studio version has the cliff burton's ingenuity, a masterpiece that culminates the máster of puppets álbum. The Best disk of metal ever written
I've been listening to Metallica for over 30 years. There are a lot of great songs to choose from in their catalog. I would say check out the videos for "One" and "The Unforgiven." Both songs have powerful videos that go along with the thought-provoking lyrics. Thank you Cartier Crew💕
Cliff is one of the best bass players in history. Look, if you take the same song - Orion performed by him, it's just a masterpiece. Also check out the song - For whom the bell tolls (live) Cliff'Em All.💪
I’m a music instructor, I teach bass, piano, and guitar. Two of my students actually performed this song on bass and guitar two months ago during a recital. Both teenagers. It’s cool to see u guys expanding your musical horizons, mad props. Also what u said was exactly on point. Everybody in the band has a job to do. The drummers job is to make sure the rhythm is solid, the guitar has to provide melody and harmony, the bass locks in with the rhythm of the drums and the harmony of the guitar to make them fit together, and the singer has to look good on stage lol.
Cliff Burton was the most talented member when they first got together back in the early 80s he wrote most of the stuff back then Cliff Burton was super talented. He was amazing.
Love the fact you brothers got the rythems down since the first metallica song you ever heard, that my friends is metallica and more to be discovered but you all continue to discover which is deeper metallica. Love and blessings to you all.
If y'all like Metallica, check out any of Cliff Burtons live stuff. He was the Bassist who gave heart not only to Metallica while he was alive, but inspired generations of different players and sounds. RIP.
This song saved my life I cry every time I hear it, Master Piece! Put on the head phones and turn that sh#t to eleven. After the ashes of drug addiction Metallica's 'Orion' and Ozzy's 'Changes' refilled my soul altering my life's course. RIP Cliff P.S. your new metal club assignment each one is to dawn the headphones and experience Orion's magic grab a chair buckle up.
I love you guys so much. For real. This gives me faith in humanity. Y'ALL Brothers actually get the brilliance and majesty of basically the greatest heavy metal band of all time - MetallicA I am a 48 yr old white dude from Seattle, and I have seen a lot....A LOT of rock music in my days and you guys attention to the mighty, the legendary Metallica....it just makes me happy my friends. I love you guys, and I only wish good things for you all. Much love, from Dave, in Seatlle. Go Sea Hawks......
Why this song is so iconic besides being a musical masterpiece, is Cliff Burton (the original bassist) wrote this song shortly before he tragically passed away.
I’m a year behind, but these videos are being pushed into my feed. I looked at what you guys are doing now and it’s nada like This. Hope you guys are all kicking butt still. Smashed that 👍🏽
It was tragic, Cliff Burton burns alive in a bus crash in the Netherlands. It's very emotional to listen to the guys retell the story, you can find it on RUclips. He was the best, I was just graduating high school. I'll never forget the day I heard the news.
You guys gotta do "Spit Out The Bone" just try not to get distracted by to the music video, it distracts a TON of reactors. PS They just announced a tour so check it out, you guys should go
I had an actual polaroid picture of Cliff Burton back in the day, but I gave it to my stepbrother at the time because he was coming into music, and I wanted to give him something that very few people have! Wish I kept it now!
Love watching you guys. Videos for Halo on Fire and The Day That Never Comes are some more recent epics. Also, To Live Is To Die is an instrumental on their next album after Puppets, and it’s a tribute to Cliff. They’ve got a lot to check out!
Moth into Flame, hardwired, dyers eve, frayed ends of sanity, fight fire with fire, that was just your life are all great songs. Need to react to these
You guys are avid listeners to Metallica, and really enjoy them. For that reason my pick for you guys is Avenged Sevenfold. They are definitely a spirited successor to the sound that Metallica created. S there library is extensive and I’m sure you guys will enjoy❤
You gotta listen to “Time” by pink Floyd. Super deep lyrics, god-like guitar solo, beautiful back up vocals. Maybe their best song. Would love to see your take on it!
ugh ... you guys ... make me experience ... RE-experience my first time hearing these songs ... so many nuances ... thank you for sharing and being open minded to old music hehe. Sometimes i feel like there is hope yet for people in this world. Thank YOU JESUS CHRIST!!!
Scorpions has great songs, animal magnetism, and the zoo and holiday. You'll love it. You guys are great. Thank you so much for jamming Rock On. God bless😊❤ Also,Love at first sting ,Rock you like a hurricane. Thank you for your show.🥰
Can you please do the album version as well? Because their original bass player Cliff played it, he was the reason behind that song! They also played it on his funeral in 1986.
Cliff was a classically trained musician. His base guitar skills changed base playing for metal forever. If he didn't die at such a young age, Metallica music would have gone on a very different path. Cliff was one of the best song writers of his time. No one could replace him. RIP Cliff Burton
The song is called Orion because the band felt the song felt spacey so the named the song after the constellation, also Nike was a God or rather a godess, she was the godess of victory and yes Nike did name their company after her
I love yalls channel. When I subscribe to you guys you were only at like 13,000 subs. You always come with a good vibes. Love your metal reactions and your Tom McDonald reactions.. nothin but love.
ACDC has great songs too one that I thought was funny was Big balls ,Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap,TNT ,For those about to rock we salute you,Have a drink on me. Love your show, love you guys too. Keep rocking ,🥰headbanging all the way !!yea.!!?🤘
My buddy Bryan never touched a guitar until he was almost mid 30's. He's 44 now and he's not bad at all. He can jam out. It's not too late for any of you to give it a try. Guitar would be the most fun. In my opinion. You get all the glory too!

OMG HIGHKEY I ACTUALLY BEEN KEEN TO SEE ANOTHER METALLICA REACTION COS I KNOW THEYLL GET BETTER AND BETTER (SHOULD DEFINITELY SUS THE WHOLE OF THE FIRST FOUR ALBUMS OR EVEN EVERY!) AND IM ALSO GLAD U GUYS WATCHED IT LIVE ITS THE BEST ESPECIALLY IN THE EARLY DAYS 🤘🏾🤘🏾"METAL UP YOUR ASS"
I absolutely love these kids... To see young men hearing the songs and being as excited as we were in the 80's, gives me hope. Maybe y'all could start a band and be the next Metallica...
"Do your job! Play your gap! We play fast, we play strong! Go out there and dominate the guy you're playing against, and MAKE HIS ASS QUIT!" - Nick Saban

Not sure if this is the place for asking this, but I love to see your guys reaction to Obama nation by Lowkey, would love to hear your thoughts on it, and the reaction for it, love the content you guys put out 🔥
Metallica is touring this coming year with a band called Five Finger Death Punch. Take a moment and listen to The Bleeding, Coming Down, Remember Everything, or Wrong Side of Heaven. I know Zoltan Bathory and have met all the members multiple times except the newest three. Absolutely incredibly talented musicians as well as deep and relevant topics. I think you guys would love them. Keep up the reactions! Love it!
So, What’s Better Studio Version On Metallica Or Live?
Live is awesome, but the studio was Cliff and Is F****** Flawless
Studio imo, could y’all check out My Friend of misery by Metallica or maybe The outlaw torn by Metallica?
Studio, fasho.
For this song, and songs like it, that are really instrumental, long, intricate, you should generally stick to the studio first.
Definitely you should check out the studio version!
To actually take this song in to its fullest is to listen to the studio version so you could hear how Cliff played it. Rob is good but the reason this song is so great is Cliff on the bass, it is truly a masterpiece.
My thoughts exactly I was hoping they were gonna jam the album version

You're not wrong about cliff, but I dig how they play it tuned down
We need them to react to Anesthesia(pulling teeth) to understand Cliff's greatness.
Cliff wrote most of this song. This was his swan song, released roughly 6 months before he passed. He never got to perform it live.
I’m glad you guys noticed the “Cliff Burton Day” sign and bothered to look him up. He’s my favorite Metallica member. 🤘🔥🔥🤘

Studio version is a must for this song. One of the most beautiful and rugged pieces of music imo 🔥
You should listen to the studio version to really appreciate the song. Cliff Burton on bass makes a huge difference. Plus check out Cliff Burton playing the bass solo Pulling Teeth live. Cliff will blow your mind on the bass
