I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. Back in the mid 90's my intro to Metallica was the Black album and Load. I had seen all the earlier albums for sale, but had never actually heard them or knew anything about them at all. At 11 years old I bought Master Of Puppets because the album cover looked cool. I had absolutely *NO* idea what I was about to hear. I played the cassette and was initially surprised to hear acoustic guitar...then when the electric guitars kicked in, I was completely blown away to say the least...when the main riff kicked in my jaw was on the floor! At that point in my life I had never heard anything as powerful as that, let alone the rest of the album! I was in a dazed state for days after hearing that. It impacted me very deeply, and that album is what made me pick up and learn how to play guitar.

Battery is the best song on the best metal album ever. It was recorded in Autumn 1985 and released in late Winter 1986. It's now in the American Library of Congress for being one of the most influential musical offerings America birthed, and well deserved imo. Nothing so heavy sounded as clean when it was released, thereby 1st introducing us to the "Metallica sound" on their third album. I think it's Metallica's best album ever for those reasons, as well as the song's music and lyrics by James Hetfield and arrangements (and excellent drumming on this album as well as the next one after this) by drummer Lars Ulrich. Thanks for posting!

Over the years my 22-year-old son and 20 year old daughter became fans on their own 34 years later I'm watching Metallica's 40th anniversary concert in San Francisco California last year as I look over at my kids the feeling was unscribable. With Metallica being one of my all time favorite bands. Play them as much as you want? I feel like I'm experiencing them all over again for the 1st time by watching your channel's reactions. It's great that you guys are Metallica fans now
Metallica had a knack for absorbing what was great melodically and rhythmically about classic rock and then expressing thru their own powerful riffs the same power of emotion evoked in classic rock.Simple man by Lynyrd Skynyrd is a good example .
I grew up on Metallica. I loved everything they did, especially this album. True story: I once drew this cover image on a wall in art class with various pencils, shading, 3 dimensional and all, and it stayed up all year. Everyone loved it. One of my earliest memories of feeling great about myself - a piece of graffiti that was appreciated. A new janitor wiped it off on day and everyone was giving me condolences. An even sweeter memory.
You are the only guys who gave this song a DESERVED energetic reaction!
Enjoy like we all did.
Live it up.
Rock it out
Loud and proud.
Yeah, but they need to redo One. They totally did not pay attention to it.

But my fave evolved to be metal. So, I am happy there are people who (let's be honest, metal isn't that big in the black community) are willing to listen and share.
The very first Metallica song that I heard summer ‘86. This song and album got me hooked on metal.
The harmony moment after the intro after the acoustic guitar is…..aaaaah🔥🤘
Check out other Metallica songs such as Whiplash, Metal Militia, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Wherever I May Roam, Overkill, Stone Cold Crazy, Fuel, Through the Never, Until It Sleeps, The Memory Remains, My Apocalypse, The Day That Never Comes, Spit Out the Bone, Moth Into Flame, Halo on Fire, and I Disappear. These are just a nice starter for you guys. Metallica has a HUGE catalog of amazing songs. In my opinion, they have legitimately 60 incredible songs in their catalog. Well done boys for getting the word out on the most powerful heavy metal band of ALL TIME!!!!
Gentlemen!!! Awesome reaction. Used to really jam this back when I was in the Marines. Listen to this then go whoop some ass. Thanks for this my brothers.
Dude with the fire extinguisher...
Just having a fire extinguisher in your hands while listening to metal is so Metal.
Nice.

It's great that you guys are Metallica fans now
I can recomend watching the live versions on their songs, the energy is on another lever
Metallica had a knack for absorbing what was great melodically and rhythmically about classic rock and then expressing thru their own powerful riffs the same power of emotion evoked in classic rock.Simple man by Lynyrd Skynyrd is a good example .
Keep them metallica videos coming.. you guys should check this song out live in seattle '89, it's legendary
Love growing up with Metallica so many great songs one my favorite bands all time top 5 bands all time in my top 5 maybe 3rd or 4th with mine
