We came here after being stuck for an extra day due to that Southwest Airlines fiasco during the holidays & the restuarant didn’t disappoint! I got the “Big Dipper” & was very suprised on how good it was becuase I wasn’t expecting much from his restaurant to be honest but that sandwich was excellent!
Omg that Southwest catastrophe was insane. Sorry you had to go through that. I'm also in the same boat. The first time I was dragged to Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen, I thought the food was going to be bad. I was pleasantly surprised that it was good. Thanks for watching!

Another excellent review Shin!! I ate at Guy's now closed Joe Garlic's restaurant in Santa Rosa, CA. I need to get over that experience and try another one of his restaurants. The meal looked good, thanks for sharing!!
I liked that place in Santa Rosa. The garlic soup was awesome. A pity that and his other place on 4th closed.

I’m sorry you didn’t have a good time at Johnny Garlic’s. I ate at Johnny Garlic’s in Santa Rosa before it closed. It wasn’t fancy but the food was decent for a hungry family. What I remember most is the kind manager who allowed us to eat inside with our new puppy, rather than eating outside in the howling wind. And the waitresses loved our pup!

I love going to Guy's Vegas restaurant. Always love getting their trashcan nachos. I'm sad that they got rid of the Mayor of Flavortown burger a few years ago since that was my favorite burger there. I do love the Mac and cheese burger
It's a lot but honestly I do think the food is good! The nachos have such a great savory, smoky, sweet flavor. And the Mac burger is rich and tasty for sure. Thanks for watching!

Before I started RUclips, I hadn't tried about half of the restaurants I've reviewed and it's really gotten me out to explore more of the city's foods options. It's been the most rewarding hobby and I have no plans of stopping anytime soon! Thanks for watching!

Lol. Most of Guy's food in most of his restaurants are unappealing, excessive, and over-the-top.

You're not wrong. Just going off aesthetics, it's not all that pleasant to look at. But both my sister and brother in law who tried it for the first time, they were surprised with how much they liked it. It's a good mix of savory, smoky and sweet. I am also of the camp that I would prefer to eat my nachos with my hands instead of a fork though. Thanks for watching!

I personally liked the new Sports Kitchen more. They both have the best dish Guy restaurants serve, which is the brisket nachos. But I thought Sports Kitchen had more variety outside of burgers and sandwiches. I also like the cheese skirt burger more than the macaroni and cheese burger. But I think you're getting a solid meal at either. Thanks for watching!

I’ve been to Guy Fieri’s Johnny Garlic restaurant in NorCal in the past but it appears he’s upped his game to match his Food Network notoriety.
Those Jalapeño Pig Poppers caught my eye.
The burgers have more bun than I prefer.

Prices on the strip are really high nowadays. It's unfortunate because the Vegas I grew up visiting was the ultimate value vacation for my family. I want to say I hope prices eventually go down but judging by how busy Vegas still is at these prices, I don't see that happening. Thanks for watching!

Hi Shin! I just gained 5 pounds thinking about what I would order there😅! Definitely would take a flight to try the mile high trash can nachos, the bacon wrapped jalapeños and the cheeseburger! It’s not a burger unless you see the grease on the paper…😊then dinner at China Mama. Awesome thank you Shin and family for sharing this dining experience! That's a fair criticism. When I was first dragged to Guy's Kitchen years ago, I thought the food was going to be awful because I did not know how they could balance all the flavors in some of these dishes. I know the nachos are not aesthetically pleasing, and I'm not a fan of having to eat nachos with a fork, but they're legitimately good. Savory, smoky, and sweet. The Mac burger I thought was going to be too much, and it is to a degree but once in a while, it's incredibly satisfying to eat. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin ha! Perhaps you are right. But I’m afraid I’m a little too caught up in the aesthetics. I can’t eat food that looks that “messy” and I certainly can’t eat that volume of food. I find gigantic portions of food to be extremely unappetizing (like those nachos and that Mac and cheese burger or that gigantic chocolate cake) I just find the quantities to be a bit off putting (nauseating is the word that comes to mind) But an absolutely great video review 👍

You are doing such a great job with your videos. Even when there is nothing that really looks good to me, your attitude just makes it fun to watch. In this case, nothing on the menu remotely appealed to me. Too much going on. I am partial to simpler dishes. And those nachos looked like spit-up on a plate!! Yuck. Keep up the good work! The food may be delicious, but it is so overpriced. For what you paid for nachos and burgers which is essentially fast food you could have eaten lunch at the buffet at the Wynn and eaten sushi, prime rib and other gourmet delights. Assuming you left a reasonable tip your bill is up to at least $180 for lunch for three people and you didn't even have any alcoholic drinks.
These are about the standard prices for sit down service restaurants on the strip now unfortunately. Agreed that you can get much more value at the buffets for some of these prices. Do take note though that despite there was no alcohol, we did order 2 appetizers, dessert along with fountain 2 beverages. Those sodas were $7 each so that definitely gets you too. I think if you got standard 2 burgers for two people, you're looking at a $50 meal. Not cheap by any means, but easier to stomach than a $180 bill. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin If you want to get a good sit down meal for not a lot of money try Primarily Prime Rib in the South Point Hotel. For the price of your hamburger you could have gotten a prime rib dinner complete with salad and baked potato. You could also add appetizers and desert for considerably less as well. Personally, I don't understand why people go to a restaurant because some celebrity chef is associated with it. That celebrity chef is certainly not going to be there cooking your food. You just pay outrageous prices and make the celebrity chef rich while your dinner is prepared by a line cook that could be working anywhere.
@Jerry W yessir! I'm a big fan of Primarily Prime Rib. I'll do a video there eventually. Southpoint is my local hotel. It's my closest movie theater so I'm there very often
