You been kind in your review. The prices bread should definitely be included and I can’t believe that lobster tail is $49 and was chewy you should’ve sent that back.
Yeah, I'm not sure why they decided to go against the current norm on the strip and charge for bread service. And while off camera I might send food back, for videos, I'm not there to have a good meal. I'm there to make a video and report back to everyone. Some good food here but there are a lot of great steakhouses in Vegas and I wouldn't fault you for not putting this one on your must visit list. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, been a while since I paid for bread service at a Vegas steakhouse. I'm not sure why they decided to go against the norm on that one. Thanks for watching!
Hi, Shin! 🎉Yay my favorite outro! I always look forward to the beginning and end of your videos. I hate to see it end, but I always enjoy Vegas with you, Shin!
Wait, Emmitt Smith, the famous Dallas Cowboy's player?? He has his own upscale steakhouse?! That's kind of amazing :D First off, that A5 Wagyu looked INCREDIBLE. I still can't get over the marbling Wagyu has (and Kobe and the Korean equivalents) and it really is awesome that more and more American steakhouses are able to get A5 Wagyu imported from Japan these days. That Japan has finally let more be exported is terrific if you ask me, because once you taste a piece of perfectly cooked A5 there's never going back honestly. And while that American Wagyu looked great also, there's really no comparison obviously. The fact that 2 ounces cost $50 is crazy though :D I've started showing more and more of my friends your videos Shin, and they all ask me the same thing - "How rich is this guy and can I be friends with him?" lol and I still crack the joke that you are Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos using that Mission Impossible mask technology so money isn't a concern for you heh. I will say though, a couple of my friends have mentioned how they'd really like to see you go to NY or Chicago and eat at some of the big-time famous steakhouses in those cities. Shin + *insert famous steakhouse here* = RUclips hits :)
@@jay-f1u4r Probably because he's the last person I'd think of with an upscale place using his name/likeness. I mean if you know who Emmitt Smith is and remember his playing days, you are probably my age or a bit younger. Just weird, I guess.
Lol, while I'm comfortable, I'm not super rich. My normal life is covered by my day job so I'm able to put everything I make from RUclips back into making videos. While traveling out and doing more locations probably would help the channel grow, I'm a home body first and foremost. And secondly, this is strictly a hobby and all I'm doing is making videos to have a full collection of the non-chain restaurants on the strip and downtown on the channel. butter cake was created in st. louis, mo, my hometown. never knew of it nor tasted while living there. then i moved to san francisco and tasted. first time was california pizza kitchen. by the way, toasted ravioli was created in st louis too as well as the brick, ice cream delight.
I prefer steak places that do give you complimentary bread. I dunno why, but I enjoy the experience more. Did the wagyu need the salt...I mean, would it be good w/o? Thank you for a great video!!
Emmitt’s is in a great location. Just may have to try it. The price of the domestic Waygu was actually affordable. The Cedar plank salmon is what I would order. Thanks for another great video Shin!
Glad you enjoyed! Yes, the NY strip was very good. One of the best I've had to be honest, though I don't order NY strips too often. Thanks for watching!
@VegaswithShin indeed, and it looks to be a reasonable portion. More than just a bite but not a whole steak since A5 is so rich. Great review as always!
Another nice review, Shin. Thanks for trying the cauliflower tacos as a vegetarian entrée option. I’m a meat eater, too, but my sister is a vegetarian so I’ve eaten lots of vegetarian food. The truth is that with excellent vegetarian dishes, you truly don’t miss the meat. The best, in general, is Indian cuisine!
I'm in such agreement with you on Indian food! Some of the best use of herbs and spices in any cuisine. Vegetarian dishes from India are often so damn flavorful. I'm starting to get into the mood for Indian...I may have it tonight lol. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I try to make the videos thinking about as many dietary restrictions as possible like pescatarian and no red meat, etc so that anyone can get a good idea of what they can expect if they were to try out the restaurant. I don't do a great job for vegetarians though lol. If I'm by myself, I take home all the leftovers and eat them over the next couple of days. I've had friends and family come to many videos to get their fill also before I take home anything left over. Thanks for watching!
The appetizers looked so good but I think you should stick with not ordering sushi at a steakhouse. The steak , chicken and cedar plank salmon looked so delicious and that butter cake!
Yeah, curiosity got the better of me. I think every few steakhouse videos I'll probably end up ordering the sushi again just to remind myself why I don't lol. Thanks for watching D!
While this a great review as always, will we find you visit Bazaar Meat? The music in the Resturant with your review style gave me fantasy island vibes.
I'll be 1000% honest with you. Bazaar Meats is my favorite steakhouse and the next time I go, I still want to just go as a diner and not work to make a video lol. I'll do it eventually though. Thanks for watching!
With all the awful stuff going on in the world, watching your videos bring me peace….😊ps nice place💕 and I guess you will stick to your rule of no sushi at a steakhouse!😅
I agree, it's getting to be a more and more crazy world out there. I'm happy I could be a moment of calm in your day. And yes, I'll continue learning my lesson about sushi at steakhouses. I might even learn that lesson properly one day lol. Thanks for watching!
Update, I went and got the A5 strip loin and the butter cake. Both were spectacular. I also enjoyed the french onion soup dumplings at Stanton. Thanks for the recommendations!
Agree with your comments about salt. Most places put too much of it on the steak. I always tell them I want no seasoning at all. Then I lightly salt it when it's on my table.
Did they spell Brussels Sprouts incorrectly on the menu? Every time I paused to try and see it never looked right. I don't think I'll add this one to my list, but that's also good intel to have. Thanks for another great video!
I would go back and look but I gotta finish up comments and get to a dinner party so I'll leave that up in the air. Happy to save you the trip! Thanks for watching!
I made the same mistake at Bazaar Meat ordering 2 oz of Kobe instead of just one. It looked kind of small but a little goes a long way with Wagyu/Kobe. I like that you get to cook it yourself, whereas Bazaar cooks it for you Tableside. Something did look off with the sushi, so I wasn't surprised when it wasn't a favorite. That New York Strip looked like it was from a Porterhouse, likely why it was better than normal. I'll have to give this place a try!
Hey V/W-SHIN, the crew wants to extend ^HigH^ praise to you for being the FIRST Las Vegas foodie Y-Ter to visit this ex NFLer's new dining establishment. BTW - That check at over ^500^ spendola's w/gratuity was some serious expenditure fella- Keep ^UP^ the great content. Many Thanks Yo ! 🎯. 💯
The chef at Jackson's Bar and Grill reached out to me via Instagram but otherwise I have not received any contact from any of the restaurants. Thanks for watching!
SW is fantastic! Great steakhouse. My favorite cut is the ribeye, followed by a filet, then the NY strip afterwards when it comes to the standard steak house cuts. Thanks for watching!
Great review, thank-you Shin. I appreciate your efforts in showcasing some vegetarian items however, your face said it all, (similar to kryptonite and Superman.) for your good health please stick to protein items only. Lol😀
Yeah, I'm not sure why they decided to go against the norm and charge for bread service. I wonder if they'll change that eventually. Thanks for watching Jerry!
What a treat!! I was looking for a review yesterday on this restaurant and NOTHING!! I was going to message you to see if it was on your list and BOOM.. let me go watch. I’ll be in Vegas in about two weeks & I can’t wait. I love Vegas
Glad I was able to give you the first look. I think the weather should be really nice in about 2 weeks! Hope you have a great trip! Thanks for watching!
…..Because when I think about fine dining, I always think about Dallas Cowboys running backs… i’ve heard good things about Tony Pollard’s sushi and oyster bar
What can I say about this place Shin but confusion on my part, I mean they are trying to hard the restaurant is just moving in all sorts of directions and it doesn't seem focused on being a traditional steak house. The food looks good but than again it's just to expensive and the portions seem mediocre, I may try this place someday but I'm not in a hurry to thanks for taking another one for the team we'll catch on the next one.
The prices here are way too high! I rather go to those fancy buffets for the same price of a ribeye steak here. You get more variety at the buffet and AYCE prime ribs. 😮
Overall as a COWBOY fan, of when we actually won games in the play-offs, I love EMMITT! So overall 5 out of 5 just on that. Now I will say the one issue is the bread. I do not mind them charging 8$ for that bread but if your going to do so it needs to be AMAZING. I would expect a unique sourdough or brown bread style for 8$. To me that looks like bread that should have been JUST complimentary. Just being honest and not letting the love for EMMITT cloud my opinion. Still though 5 out 5 EMMITT!! GO SHIN!
He was a legend on the field and almost as legendary on the mic. He's a superstar. His steakhouse honestly isn't that bad. I would like the bread service to be included though lol. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for another great review giving us a sense of the vibe of the restaurant, the overall experience and of course another outstanding food review. I really appreciate that a steakhouse would put a vegan option in both the app and salad sections AND offer a very appealing entree, not expected at all but very appreciated.
Shin I have to agree with you about that lobster- it just looked underwhelming. Chefs need to give it a nice brush of melted chive butter to make it glisten and add color. The fried onions seemed like the odd dish out, that should be finger food not something better suited to sprinkle over green beans
Yeah, oddly it was brined in something that actually did make it taste pretty good. It was just overdone and the texture was chewy. Fried onions on their own as a side was interesting. I agree, could be used to garnish other dishes. Thanks for watching!
Well, I've actually gone to a steakhouse, got their bread service, and had an emergency that caused me to leave so technically, I have had free bread lol. Though I did still tip out $20 when this happened. Thanks for watching!
They even charge you for the bread? So did you actually pay the $500 for that over-priced meal or was it compt? Thanks for making the video so I don't have to go there.
Yeah, haven't been to a place that charged for bread service since I went to Martha Stewart's restaurant at the Paris. I pay for all my video meals unless stated otherwise. I've only had 1 meal comped in my 2+ years on RUclips so it's very rare. Thanks for watching!
I am a little confused what type of restaurant this is with all the TV’s on. It kind of takes away from the food. I also don’t like the new trend of no tablecloths in higher end restaurants as the tables look like they should be in a diner. The food didn’t look that spectacular for what you got. The bread seemed disappointing as I love a signature bread from restaurants. The wagyu beef that you had to cook yourself looked amazing and I would also be a big fan of the butter cake too with all that yummy caramel. Thanks Shin.
A reputable steakhouse shouldn’t charge for bread unless it’s spectacular, which this was not. Also, the plating of the steak and lobster did not match what they charged you. Too bad.
I'm not sure why they opted to charge for bread service when all the other steakhouses on the strip do not so I'm curious if they'll change that eventually. Thanks for watching!
What's your favorite steakhouse in Vegas?

Very nice! You know what you like and how to get it! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin That KC Strip looked very good. I would definitely order it.
Considering all the drama behind this restaurants opening it seems the wait was worth it to a degree.
It really took a while to open and I heard there was quite a lot of drama. Thanks for watching!
I noticed they spelled it incorrectly, too. Brussels sprouts, not Brussesl sprouts. You'd think someone would have caught that in spell check.
@@fluffygambler7296 Oh well. I'm sure when they caught it they felt silly. Also, I'm glad I wasn't imagining. Thanks for letting me know!
Thank you for showing the veggie options
No problem. I'm glad you liked the inclusion! Thanks for watching!
great review
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Yeah 2oz doesn't sound like a lot but it is pretty filling lol. I actually did like that I could cooky own A5. Very tasty. Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the kudos. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!
Of all the restaurant reviews you have done. Has any of them contacted you?
The chef at Jackson's Bar and Grill reached out to me via Instagram but otherwise I have not received any contact from any of the restaurants. Thanks for watching!
What'd you do with all the food?! Great review!
I box it up, take it home and eat it over the next handful of days. Thanks for watching!
My favorite is SW.
What are your favorite steak cuts Shin?
SW is fantastic! Great steakhouse. My favorite cut is the ribeye, followed by a filet, then the NY strip afterwards when it comes to the standard steak house cuts. Thanks for watching!
Great review, thank-you Shin. I appreciate your efforts in showcasing some vegetarian items however, your face said it all, (similar to kryptonite and Superman.) for your good health please stick to protein items only. Lol😀
Lol, I try my best to show a good variety but I'm a carnivore. I love my meat. Thanks for watching!
Most of the food looks really good. I'm not a fan of you having to pay for the bread where most steakhouses gives you complimentary bread
Yeah, I'm not sure why they decided to go against the norm and charge for bread service. I wonder if they'll change that eventually. Thanks for watching Jerry!
Was this a soft opening that you were invited to, or are they fully open?
They are fully open and I went in as a standard guest. Thanks for watching!
What a menu! Wow!
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin thank you! I told my cousin I hope I run into you when we are out and about 🤣😂🤣
That's an excellent location. Easy to walk to or taking the tram to T.I.. I will check it out for sure. Thanks for the review!
Really great location at the Fashion Show Mall for sure. Right in the center. Thanks for watching!
Liked your double video with norma…sly buggah😂
Glad you enjoyed lol. Thanks for watching!
…..Because when I think about fine dining, I always think about Dallas Cowboys running backs… i’ve heard good things about Tony Pollard’s sushi and oyster bar
Lmao
Appetizers and dessert looked amazing!!
Yes! I really liked the A5 and the butter cake was delicious. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Shin
You got it! Thanks for watching!
CrispyBois burgers in Boulder City….you have to add it to the list. Best burger in town without a doubt.
I will add them to the list!
Looks good. Especially the shrimp. I think I’d pass on the bread service.
Shrimp was very tasty. I liked most of the food. Thanks for watching!
Shin, is everything okay? You usually order almost twice as much food!
Do I? I thought this was pretty on par. Thanks for watching!
Very fair assessment Admiral. I wouldn't put this on the must try list, but if you do swing by, hopefully you have a good meal. Thanks for watching!
The prices here are way too high! I rather go to those fancy buffets for the same price of a ribeye steak here. You get more variety at the buffet and AYCE prime ribs. 😮
Can't beat the value of a buffet if you pick smart items and go in on a lot for sure. Thanks for watching!
I love cauliflower but that dish should've been an appetizer not a main. You should've added those crispy onions to the cauliflower tacos.
That is an amazing idea! Those onions in the tacos would have been great! Thanks for watching!
Vegas has gotten ridiculously expensive. Great video though!
Very expensive indeed. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely love how well you describe each dish! You’re so descriptive. I can almost taste the creole shrimp 🤤
I'm happy to hear you enjoy my style! Thanks for watching!
Glad you enjoyed! Yes, not many steakhouses offering vegetarian dishes so kudos to Emmitt's. Thanks for watching!
I'm good with the bread that comes with the shrimp.
Those crouton like crackers were pretty nice in that sauce actually. Thanks for watching!
13:00 Is that the couple from “Show Me Vegas”?
Hmm, maybe? I can't tell even when I look back on my capture footage lol. Thanks for watching!
Emmit wants to meet you in the back alley to talk about your critique of his bread. lol.
I'm trying hard to understand what this comment is trying to say...but I thank you for watching!
Bread is never free, regardless of the restaurant, I think most just shift it into other menu items, of course it depends
Well, I've actually gone to a steakhouse, got their bread service, and had an emergency that caused me to leave so technically, I have had free bread lol. Though I did still tip out $20 when this happened. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin responses like this is what another reason why shin is the best
They even charge you for the bread? So did you actually pay the $500 for that over-priced meal or was it compt? Thanks for making the video so I don't have to go there.
Yeah, haven't been to a place that charged for bread service since I went to Martha Stewart's restaurant at the Paris. I pay for all my video meals unless stated otherwise. I've only had 1 meal comped in my 2+ years on RUclips so it's very rare. Thanks for watching!
Think I’ll pass on Emmitt’s
You can't pass, you have to run! 🏈
Happy to save you the trip!
Hello Friend! 😊
Hi !!
salmon fish lol. keep on tucking shin :)
Lol thanks!
Yeah, this kind of still strikes me as a standard steakhouse in Vegas nowadays. I do miss classic white tablecloth though. Thanks for watching!
I understand some people can’t or don’t drink but a steak house review is not complete without a cocktail or wine selection.
I drink in maybe 5% of my videos but I'm just not a big drinker. I smoke my vices more than drink them. Thanks for watching!
All of their food looked properly cooked and presented. A bit heavy handed on salt and sushi rice needs a bit of help.
Yeah, I'll learn my lesson about steakhouse sushi one day lol. Thanks for watching!
Pay for bread this is the first time I've ever seen this.
Yeah not sure why they did that. Curious if that will change over time. Thanks for watching!
Shinn don't listen about eating sushi😂😂😂
LOL! I'm stubborn and I have to learn my lessons again from time to time. Thanks for watching!
