    I have never stayed at Caesar’s palace but I have eaten at Amalfi and watched Sting concert at the Colosseum. Also had late night drinks at Vanderpump. I do prefer personal refrigerator in the room for my medications. Great video.

    I agree with you on many points. Understanding what you’re actually there for will give you better clues as to which tower to stay in. Pool = Octavious or Palace, closeness to the entrance/lobby = Augustus. Gaming or Bacchanal Buffet =Julius & Shopping = Forum. For us the center strip local is the best part because you can easily walk to Bellagio, Linq Promenade, Venetian, Mirage without breaking a sweat. But those Resort Fee’s are BS for any of the hotels!!

    Hey peeps ! While I do like Caesars Palace I agree the property seems a bit disjointed due to all the add ons over the years . At least they do keep things fresh and clean etc. That check in line always has about 12 million people on it so the prices are definitely not stopping the bookings . I’m Diamond level and rarely get comp nights so haven’t stayed in several years. I do always stop in for a cocktail or a walk around when in town. For me personally I prefer to stay at Aria or Bellagio especially as my suites are always comped . Great review and spot on with your assessment 😎😎😎

  • @alyonapetrova694

    I’ve stopped all gaming at CET properties. As a “Diamond Plus for several years, even with a “host”, I could never get a Saturday night “comped”, and many Friday nights. Tough casino to win at slots. “Absinthe” was NOT worth the price! I paid a little more than you mentioned for front row. Too short of a performance and too “generic”. Did you smell the foul order in the room hallways from the “grease” traps that are overflowing without having been cleaned?
    You’re also correct that I’ve had to call the “Help” desk “off shore” to have the room router “ports” turned on. Why pay a “Resort Fee”. My advice, avoid ALL Caesars Entertainment Properties!

    When you are sitting by the pool at Caesars Palace you feel like you are in Ancient Rome, great pool experience. I prefer the vibe at Caesars Palace, less stuffy than the Wynn and Encore, everyone seems to be having a good time and people are more friendly. Caesars Palace is definitely the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night, great energy there, that’s where it’s happening. Once you have been there a couple of times you learn the layout and it is easy to get around, no more walking than lets say the Wynn Encore. There is good value to be had at Caesars Palace, the Americano Cafe serves a great breakfast, and Gordon Ramseys Pub and Grill has some great dinner options for a good price. The rooms can be a good value also, on almost every trip they have given me a free upgrade, I book the standard room, but at check in I am given a premium room for no charge and I am a low roller. The rooms are not as perfect as the Wynn, but I prefer a good time, and friendly people. The overall experience is more important to me.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  6 месяцев назад +1

    Confusing property, sounds and feels like your first time navigating an international airport. Some gaming areas have weird low ceilings as if it was an afterthought for a hallway. Finding the way from the forum shops to the casino always felt like you got lucky finding your way, signs around the spiral escalators in the shops are worthless. More property map signs would be amazing. The cocktail waitresses are told to only serve people who have been on machines for at least 20 minutes. My cocktail waitress verified I had money in the machine and just ruined the vibe as if I was in some stingy brusque strip mall illegal gaming room. Bacchanal had the most flavorless lobster claws I've ever had somehow. Ansel cronuts were disappointing and they charged me $2 for a cup of tap water. Wynn buffet is significantly better and also had amazing cronuts last time I was there. Wynn gaming floor is easy to navigate because you're on an arc shape.

    I stay at Caesars palace every trip. It's a classic and one of the best properties in Vegas. Augustus tower is where you want to stay but in a suite. Weekdays are cheaper if you pay for rooms but I fortunately get everything comped. You mention is has no continuity in the casino. It absolutely does you just need to familiarize yourself with the layout and property. It takes a week to get to know your way around the place. I can speak about the pools, they are DYNAMITE and most of all clean as can be. Dining there is 5 stars for the most part, endless options from cheaper food court to the steak houses. The buffet is one of the best on the planet. Location of Caesars is once again the best, center of strip. Most of the people that complain about Caesars either cant afford it, or the place is just overwhelming to them.

    Great video! I also haven't stayed at CP yet because of the prices. It would need to be a great offer for me to jump on it. There are a few hacks I've learned which make my stays better when properties don't have fridges or coffee makers... I always pack a travel coffee maker (the one I have weighs less than half a lb) and it's saved sooo much money each trip. I also have a collapsible flat-pack structured cooler which effectively replaces the fridge. Just add ice. I've used both for at least a few years and it's been worth it to make room in my suitcase 🥳

    It's not really the "it" property, it's just the best Caesars property because of the pools. Those properties are above The Strat and Circus Circus, but below MGM's offerings as a collection of resorts; and well below The Wynn, Fontainebleau, and Resorts World. Caesars are really betting that the guy will want dinner at Ramsey's, and the girl will want to see Adele; but I'd be bored in five minutes ... even with all that activity space.
    I always like to see what I'm not missing. I still say stay at the Sahara, dinner at Excalibur, do all the thrill rides, and hit Brewdog ... those are my bucket list items.

    A few notes. I could book an Augustus Tower room (my preferred tower) in 2023 for only 23.00 on many Sun- Thurs. It is currently around 3X that at least. The BACCHANAL Buffet may be offer the most choices but it enforces a strict 90 minute time limit and when crowded you will find you spend half your time waiting for something. And finally You WON'T get a "good meal" at Mr Chow. Check Reviews "Skinny not succulent bony ducks" "wait staff at best 'uninterested" in helping at worst actually scoffs, almost makes fun of customers if they don't order their 'suggestions". If my duck isn't succuent I don;t want it lol.

    Only place I stay at, amazing pool, restaurants, casino, the place is just an amazing property and so well run. You complain about not knowing the casino floor well it's a small city. It takes a few times staying there to get to know the property. I know it blindfolded by now. Ashame you didn't get to experience the pools. Also you can simply request an empty fridge for $30 a night which is well worth it. Complaining about the prices there is silly, I get fully comped but the rooms are still a good deal especially on weekdays. It's Vegas man, it's getting expensive more and more as time goes on.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  6 месяцев назад

      Sure Vegas is getting more expensive, but that doesn’t change the fact that Caesars Palace is a poor value compared to its competitors. For the same price or less you can get a FAR nicer room at Bellagio, Venetian/Palazzo, Cosmopolitan, even Wynn or Encore…
      We’ll have to agree to disagree about most of this, especially the part about being well run. CET overall is a management disaster.

    Thanks for this video! (BTW, im a long-time viewer and first-time commenter.)
    IMHO, this is a very fair and honest review. Caesars Palace absolutely has a lot going for it, including its all-star restaurant lineup, its iconic entertainment venues, its gorgeous pool complex, and its "center of it all" Center Strip location.
    OTOH, the base-level rooms hardly feel luxurious at all, and I'm not too surprised that even your Augustus studio suite was a bit underwhelming. We've already seen what's possible with a full renovation at the current Nobu tower, so I can only hope Caesars eventually renovates the other towers so the hotel side of the resort finally matches the "luxe life" reputation of everything else on property.

    I stayed at Caesars recently and the walk to my room was about 15 minutes!! I know this sounds 'petty' but I was shocked that they have a coffeemaker in the room but NO coffee!! I was all ready to make coffee the first morning and noticed NO K-cups! I asked the front desk if they could bring some up and they said they are "extra" and its $24 to buy them. OMG, even a Motel-6 gives you coffee...... I was shocked at how petty that was, since I spent a lot of money in their casino for 5 days. Plus their staff was rude to us several times. For me Caesers is absolutely iconic and for us it has everything we need (poker, partying, good food, central location) but the price point is way too high compared to high end hotels like Venetian and Wynn which are not much more in $$$ but offer more in terms of luxury. Even Cosmopolitan at a similar price point offers more in terms of luxury and party options.

    Caesars Palace minibar scam: My sister recently made the mistake of spending two nights at Caesars Palace. While going through the “Self check out” process she found that the hotel had added $135 in minibar charges for items she never touched. And of course the customer service check out line was an hour long and flight time soon, so no time to argue. Just a damn scam!

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  6 месяцев назад

      That would be fixed with a phone call, and if not I would dispute it with my credit card company. This is not a common occurrence and usually happens when somebody accidentally moves things or stores their own items in the fridge. Either way, they’ll fix it if no items were actually consumed.

    • @dalecs47
      @dalecs47 6 месяцев назад

      @@ShowMeVegas They will fix it? Why should they? My point is that the entire process is a scam. In the time my sister left the room until check she was at the self serve checkout there was not time for anyone to have actually inventoried anything. The system just made up the charges.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  6 месяцев назад

      @@dalecs47 the system uses sensors in the refrigerator that knows when items have been taken out, moved, or that other items have been stored within. They don't "make up" charges, but there can be glitches. Most commonly it is because people think they can use the fridge to store their own leftovers or drinks (which is not allowed) and the movement triggers automatic charges.
      Why would they fix it? Because despite your belief they're not in business to scam people, they make plenty of money participating in normal legal business practices. If you choose to just accept the charges and not contest it, that's on you. It's no different than a waitress accidentally charging you for an extra drink at dinner. Simply explain that you didn't use the mini bar and they'll remove the charges unless they can prove that you did. We've very easily and successfully had erroneous charges removed before.

    • @dalecs47
      @dalecs47 6 месяцев назад

      @@ShowMeVegas I have to disagree, it is a scam. When I pay good money to rent a room I should not have to be responsible for a mini bar that I do not want to use and the idea that just moving something in the room or using the refrigerator that is provided in the room costs me hundreds of dollars is just a scam. These hotels should either be in the business of renting rooms, or operating Quicky Marts. They certainly should not be doing both things in the same room and scamming their customers. This is just bad business. No one likes it. I can see is great promotional opportunity for some of the hotels if they advertise their rooms are guaranteed to have "No scam mini bar charges." As a customer I would certainly choose to stay in a place where I am not having to fear being scammed.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  6 месяцев назад

      @@dalecs47alright then. You can complain about it all you’d like, but it isn’t a big deal to those of us who understand how it works and what to do if you do accidentally get charged. This “scam” hasn’t ever cost us a dime and never will. Probably because it isn’t a scam…

    I hope to stay here one day, since I have a goal to stay at every property on the strip at least once. That said, this place is massive and would be difficult for someone like my wife, who can’t do a lot of walking. What tower would you recommend for a first-timer here, or someone who can’t do a marathon? Great recap of a formerly iconic resort. The best way to experience Caesars Palace these days is a simple 2 - 3 hour visit to see the fountains and Lobby, maybe fit in a meal.
    I stayed in the Augustus Tower once: it was a nice, larger room with the bathroom being the best feature. However, a similar room at Venetian/Palazzo or Cosmopolitan is both better and cheaper. Heck, the Soho Premiere rooms at NY-NY at one-third the cost are just as large and have a free refrigerator.
    I don’t even think the location is iconic anymore: I prefer the areas from NY-NY/MGM Grand to Bellagio/Paris for less expensive vacations and from Venetian to Encore for a luxury resort stay. In between those two locations, stretching from Caesars/Cromwell to Harrahs/Mirage, I only go there for concerts or if the volcano show is running.
    Caesars Palace has a great pool area and offers excellent concerts. I’m sure the restaurants are nice as well. Sadly, the cost and many negatives features outweigh the positives.
